This message concludes the "Portraits of the Lord Jesus Christ" series. Â Mr. Radcliffe meditates upon the link between Psalm 22 and the Lord Jesus Christ. Â Psalm 22 commences a beautiful triplet of Psalms (22, 23, 24). Â In Psalm 22 we are taken to a hill (Golgotha). Â In Psalm 24, we see another hill, the hill of the Lord (the hill of glory). Â Between two hills, there must be a valley. Â In Psalm 23 we have the valley experience of life. Preached September 29, 2011
When God brings before us His tremendous work of creation, He will describe it to us in less than two chapters. Â But when we come to the subject of the tabernacle, a few verses or chapters will not suffice. Â There are at least 50 chapters taken up with this truth. Â Not only is it found in the Old Testament, it is mentioned often in the New Testament as well. Â We find it in the book of Hebrews as well as the book of Revelation. The Gospel of John presents to us a portrait of Christ who "tabernacled with us." Preached on September 28, 2011
In 1 Corinthians 5:7, Paul writes, "For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us." Â The examples of the passovers in the Old Testament were all looking forward to the Passover in all its reality. Â We will notice three things in the Exodus 12: The Dates of the Passover The Description of the Lamb The Direction for the Night Preached on September 27, 2011
There are 11 "Josephs" in the Bible - 5 in the Old Testament  and 6 in the New Testament - but there is none like this one that so delights our heart.  For this one reminds us of a greater story, the story of the one of whom Joseph was just a faint picture - the person of the Lord Jesus Christ himself.  In this message, Malcolm Radcliffe links the four houses and the four garments in the life of Joseph with the pictures of Jesus in the four Gospel accounts of the New Testament. Outline Chapter 37 - Joseph in the Father's house - The house of Sonship - Wearing the Coat of Many Colors Chapter 39 - Joseph in the Master's house - The house of Servitude - Wearing the steward's coat Genesis 40 - Joseph in the Prison house - The house of Suffering - Wearing the drab garment of the prisoner Genesis 41 - Joseph in the house of exaltation - The house of Supremacy - Wearing the vestures of fine linen Preached on September 25, 2011.
