This week is literally the shortest podcast the guys have ever done.. but of course still dope! The guys opened the podcast giving their opinion on Coming 2 Amercia. Then Mike shared how he has been thinking about old things and allowing himself to get upset.. and wonders if its okay. Then the guys jump right in. Some of the topics: - NBA talk, Meyers Leonard gets suspended for anti-Semitic comments, James Harden vs Antione Walker, All Star weekend and Rappers 2 on 2. -Kanye being hurt and petty with his now ex-wife -Mike and Jesse reminisce and tell a few stories from their past. This week Jesse and Mike are joined by a return guest, Trevor Owens. Trevor was a guest on the pod way back on episode 27 and hes back to share some perspective with us. We opened the podcast hearing about Trevors experience being a young person of color work in the tech industry. This episode started a little differently.. rather than just talking about what they've been doing since the last podcast, Mike ask Jesse if he is okay and if there is anything is on his mind. This week.. the guys are joined by childhood friend Jotham Kabuye. All the guys have known Jo since high school but haven't had the chance to sit and talk to him in quite a while so there was plenty to discuss. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson buys the XFL for $15million Viola Davis purchasing her childhood home.. which leads to the question "is there any thing that you have to purchase before you're gone?" Joe Biden has Kamala Harris as his running mate. As an adult.. when does someone graduate from and associate to a friend? Do you think code switching is necessary? and finally.. It's Episode 52 and we've got Jesse back and where back at his place to pod!! The podcast opens with Mike stepping a little bit outside of character to address a personal matter.. and then the fun starts! As promised, the guys return and and tell the story of "The Red Dude" Some of the things discussed were Kanye and fake candidacy, The NBA bubble, The WNBA bubble conditions, the NFL and whether or not people should be offended by the names of certain professional teams.. that and a few other things. In this episode Jesse was missing from the FamilyRoom because he started a new job.. but nevertheless we were in there, and the homie Isaac Jordan joined us. We switched it up a little and did something we don't normally do and talked about sports to open the pod. Specifically Cam Newton signing with the Patriots. We then discussed the NBA and the bubble. The precautions that the NBA is taking and how likely it is that the season ends once it restarts. By way of a fan request and somehwhat of a continuation of a conversation from episode 46.. the guys talked about who was which friend in their crew, "the wild friend" "the sensitive friend".. etc. The guys also talked about what they believe to be their silliest purchase. To start the podcast off this week we spoke briefly about the journey to our 50th episode and the changes and evolution of the podcast along the way. Which leads Mike to ask the guys if they've created any habits recently that they've been able to stick to. The guys spoke to Trevor about being a 3rd year college student, walking away from basketball after playing at a high level his entire life, utilizing resources and just everything that is going on with him. After taking a week off. the brothers are back and have a lot to catch each other up on so always they begin a recap of what they've been up to.. then they get right back to the topics.
