The hosts, Michael Felger and Tony Massarotti, provide a unique perspective on the world of sports with their hyperbolic and often repetitive style. Despite some flaws, the show offers excellent content that keeps listeners engaged.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is the chemistry between Felger and Massarotti. They have been hosting together for years and it shows in their banter and rapport. Massarotti's return to his original form is evident as he sounds healthier and less angry compared to when he initially came back. Additionally, Jim Murray brings a lot of talent to the show with his analysis and ability to contribute to the drama-filled discussions that Felger loves.
One downside of the podcast is the lack of variety in opinions. While Murray provides some balance, Joe Murray often fails to listen and answer questions appropriately. This causes frustration among listeners who feel that he changes the question to fit his own answer rather than offering substantive responses. It would be beneficial if Jim had his own show instead.
Overall, The Felger & Massarotti podcast does an excellent job at connecting Boston sports fans who have moved away from home with their engaging content. The hosts try their best every day to deliver a good show, particularly for those who enjoy Boston sports. However, Felger's impatience with callers can be off-putting at times, as he tends to cut them off before they can fully express their points.
