Why do so many breakthrough MedTech products fail — even when the technology works? In this episode of Med Tech Gurus, we're joined by Holley Miller, Founder and President of Grey Matter Marketing and one of the most direct, no-nonsense voices in healthcare commercialization today. With nearly three decades in life sciences — from the early days of surgical robotics to advising CEOs, boards, and investors — Holley has helped create more than $4.5 billion in enterprise value by doing one thing differently: designing adoption before launch. Holley is the architect of what she calls the Product Adoption Lie — the dangerous belief that better products automatically win. In this conversation, she explains why most launches fail not because the product is weak, but because the market was never taught to change its beliefs or behavior. We explore why adoption must be engineered, how category design replaces traditional go-to-market playbooks, and why alignment across clinical, regulatory, and commercial teams is essential to changing the standard of care. If you're a founder, executive, or investor trying to scale innovation — not just launch a product — this episode delivers a hard truth and a clear roadmap for building something the market can't ignore.

When speaking with a third-generation railroader, that usually means he or she comes from a family where railroading has been passed down through the generations, and in the case of our next guest, his grandfather started as a track worker in the very early years of the 1900s and took such pride in his job that his son followed in his footsteps. So it's no wonder that when Tom Holly came along with a wealth of knowledge from his father and grandfather, the next step seemed only natural.  Don't think it's unreasonable for us to assume that Tom didn't choose trains, trains chose Tom. In model railroading this kind of lineage is actually a big deal because by the time the third generation gets around the building a layout, they're able to call on a wealth of knowledge that not many modelers have access to. This is a great podcast and one we're sure you'll enjoy.

Everything seemed to be working against Eben, and in his own unconscious and comatose world, he was moving closer, and closer to death itself. Half the world is wired for less stimulation and many of them have spent years wondering if that means something is wrong with them. In this episode of The 1000 Hours Outside Podcast, Ginny Yurich sits down with counselor and bestselling author Holley Gerth to talk about introversion with both warmth and real brain science: why “introvert” isn't the same as “shy,” how dopamine and acetylcholine shape what drains you or restores you, why deep processing can make you tired even when you “didn't do that much,” and how strategic solitude can actually make relationships more sustainable—especially for kids. It's a freeing conversation for anyone who's ever felt too quiet, too intense, too sensitive, or just plain awkward… and a reminder that awkwardness is often what makes us more human, more likable, and easier to connect with.
