This week, Shaye sits down with Chance, a ranch manager at the Noble Research Institute, about extending grazing seasons to cut winter feeding and hay costs. Chance describes Noble's 5,100-acre native-grass operation running about 200 cows, using intensive rotational grazing (moving daily to every few days) and aiming to remove only the top third to half of forage during the growing season so enough standing grass remains for winter. He stresses producers often plan too late, and recommends measuring pasture forage monthly to guide stocking decisions, destocking, or hay purchasing. Winter management includes protein supplementation (cubes/cake) for four to five months and occasional hay during heavy snow. They discuss other options such as cover crops (noting weather risk), rye winter pasture, crop residue grazing, and bale grazing/unrolling or pre-unwrapped bales to improve soil and return nutrients. The NN Pod completes its 2026/27 season preview by assessing what success now looks like for Arsenal after winning the Premier League, reaching the Champions League final and establishing themselves among Europe's strongest sides. The hosts debate whether retaining the league title should remain the priority or whether the Champions League has become the defining target. With the pressure of ending Arsenal's 22-year title wait finally removed, they consider whether the team can approach the new campaign with greater freedom while still managing the demands of defending its crown.Attention then turns to the condition of the squad. William Saliba's absence, uncertainty around Jurrien Timber and the physical load carried by players including Declan Rice, Martin Ødegaard, Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz raise questions about rotation, recovery and whether Arsenal can keep their most important players available for the decisive months of the season. The episode also examines where the attack must improve after a title-winning campaign built heavily on defensive control, set pieces and narrow victories. The hosts assess the need for better individual returns, the potential evolution of Arsenal's midfield and right-hand side, and whether a fitter Ødegaard can help unlock a more expansive version of the team. Finally, the discussion moves to Max Dowman, the pathway for Arsenal's academy players, the club's continuing difficulties in the sales market and the transfer priorities that remain before the window closes. With Arsenal beginning the season as champions rather than challengers, the question is no longer how they reach the top — but how much further they can go.Chapters:(00:00) - Arteta's Non-Negotiables & Intro(00:49) - What Constitutes Success This Season?(03:46) - Arteta's Contract Situation(06:33) - Rotation, Injuries & Managing the Squad(09:11) - Can Fans Accept Rotation?(11:56) - Premier League or Champions League?(14:05) - Managing the Champions League Schedule(19:54) - Where Must Arsenal's Attack Improve?(22:13) - Better Returns From Arsenal's Attackers(25:05) - Can Arsenal Attack More Without Losing Control?(26:33) - Fine Margins, Set Pieces & Sustainability(29:45) - Replacing Saliba's Influence(34:15) - Ødegaard's Deeper Midfield Role(37:39) - Max Dowman's Breakout Potential(39:10) - Ife Ibrahim & Arsenal's Next Academy Prospects(44:16) - Can Other Hale End Players Break Through?(47:54) - Academy Pathways & Player Development(51:32) - Arsenal's Selling Problem(54:07) - Why Are Arsenal Players Undervalued?(01:02:27) - Arsenal's Remaining Transfer Priorities(01:05:03) - Meslier's Pre-Season Performance(01:06:16) - Vieira, Nelson, Jesus & the Oversized Squad(01:09:02) - Optimism Ahead of the New Season(01:12:14) - Arsenal at the Top of the Mountain(01:15:03) - Will Arsenal Play Better Football?(01:17:13) - Outro & What's Next

Can Tiago Splitter turn the Chicago Bulls into a top-15 defense immediately? Haize breaks down why the Bulls finally have the defensive personnel to make a real jump after allowing 121.5 points per game last season, ranking 28th in the NBA. With Nic Claxton, Isaac Okoro, Matas Buzelis, Caleb Wilson, Dailyn Swain, Leonard Miller and Tre Jones, Chicago now has far more size, length, versatility and defensive tools than the group that finished 31–51.Haize also looks at what Splitter's Portland defensive success could mean for Chicago. Portland used multiple coverages, controlled shot quality, finished fifth in blocks, allowed the sixth-fewest made threes, and ranked 14th in defensive rating. Now the question is whether Splitter can transfer those principles to a Bulls roster built around Claxton's rim protection, Okoro's point-of-attack defense, and the weak-side length of Buzelis and Wilson. Then the conversation shifts to the Bulls' rotation battle. The starting five looks clearer with Josh Giddey, Norman Powell, Caleb Wilson, Matas Buzelis and Nic Claxton, but the bench and “outside looking in” group could get ruthless fast. Players like Rob Dillingham, Dailyn Swain, Patrick Williams and Noa Essengue may have to fight for every minute under a new front office and head coach with no loyalty to the old regime.

Markets remain trapped below key technical resistance, with the S&P 500 unable to reclaim its 20-day and 50-day moving averages. While money flows continue to soften and price action stays locked in a tightening consolidation pattern, market internals tell a different story. Lance Roberts shares why equal-weighted stocks are outperforming, why Mega-Cap technology and semiconductors are no longer carrying the market, and how improving market breadth is masking weakness in the headline indexes. We also discuss the seasonal challenges of August and September, what investors should watch for before adding risk, and why diversification becomes especially valuable during periods of market rotation. Rather than chasing headlines, successful investing often means recognizing when leadership is changing, maintaining discipline, and preparing to capitalize on opportunities when quality companies become temporarily mispriced. In this short podcast episode, Bryan covers the points to consider when selecting a replacement motor, particularly blower motors and condensing fan motors in residential and light commercial applications. Horsepower and amperage both matter for matching, but they are not the only items to consider. We also have to consider phase (three-phase vs. single-phase), voltage, and RPM; those must match exactly (barring VFDs and ECMs with variable RPMs). Frame size, shaft size, mounting, rotation, capacitor (for PSC motors), bearing type, temperature rating, enclosure (or Air Over Motor rating), and operation all matter. The failed motor is also NOT the only source of information; if it is an aftermarket motor, it might not have the correct information, so you are better off using an OEM motor or checking the manufacturer's data. Single-phase motors are common for residential condensing fan motors and will need a run capacitor. Three-phase motors tend to be more common in commercial settings, and these will not have a run capacitor. Voltages must be appropriate for the application, and if the RPM is fixed, it must match the same general range because it represents the motor speed and is based on the number of poles. However, RPM may be variable in several applications. Horsepower is the mechanical output rating (ability to do work); we CANNOT use a replacement motor with less horsepower than the OEM motor (and be careful with fractions; 1/3 is greater than 1/4). Amperage is NOT horsepower; amps are electrical input current. We want the amp rating to be close to the original motor, but it won't always match, particularly in the case of ECMs. If it doesn't match, we want to know why that is; if it's an ECM, then it's likely not a problem because ECMs can do the same work as a PSC with fewer watts. Power factor indicates motor efficiency for PSC motors, but the rules aren't quite the same for ECMs, which will have a much lower power factor (or lower wattages with higher amperages). However, if the amperage is off because we have the wrong motor, then that is a problem. The physical aspects matter for fitting the motor properly and delivering the right airflow. Rotation should match (though most universal motors can run in either direction). Airflow is especially important for blower motors, so factory replacements or ECM replacements are the way to go in those cases (it's also good to confirm airflow with a TrueFlow grid and by checking static pressure). The speed taps also need to be correct. Noise is also a factor; ball bearing motors tend to be louder than sleeve bearing motors. Temperature ratings also matter because heat can significantly reduce the lifespan of motors, and we need motors that can handle the operating conditions. Here is the podcast episode about ECM blower amps and watts with Steve Rogers: https://www.hvacrschool.com/podcasts/what-is-up-with-blower-amps-watts-w-steve-rogers/ Have a question that you want us to answer on the podcast? For this episode, host Bill Calkins is joined by Jeremy Webber, an ornamentals crop team member at Koppert. Jeremy has experience in propagation and finished plant production, as well as more than a decade of leading a team that works with growers across North America to develop holistic IPM approaches customized for each greenhouse and growing situation. At his core, Jeremy is a plant guy through and through and wrote an excellent article for the 2026 GrowerTalks Biosolutions Guide. For the guide, Bill challenged him to put a unique spin on how bio-IPM strategies lead to plant health, which in turn means fewer crop losses and a reduced need for rescue missions to save plants from pest and disease. Jeremy titled his article “The End of Rotation Anxiety (Stop Playing the MOA Game with EPF)” and explored an angle he's truly passionate about—that although rotating crop protection products is definitely a key part of IPM and resistance management, it's sort of an old school way of thinking. If this sounds bold and raises questions in your mind, we're with you. Which is why Bill sat down with Jeremy at the July 2026 Cultivate event in Columbus, Ohio … to dig deeper into the article to better understand what Jeremy is advocating for. The Chicago Bulls suddenly have a real rotation problem — and that is a good thing. On today's Chicago Bulls Central, Haize breaks down why Patrick Williams, Rob Dillingham, Dailyn Swain, Leonard Miller, and Noa Essengue may all have legitimate NBA talent, but not all of them are guaranteed regular minutes under Tiago Splitter. With projected starters Josh Giddey, Norman Powell, Matas Buzelis, Caleb Wilson, and Nic Claxton, plus established bench candidates like Tre Jones, Isaac Okoro, Jalen Smith, and Zach Collins, the Bulls may only have one or two dependable rotation spots left unless Splitter consistently plays 11 deep.Haize explains why the battle will be decided by specific utility, not draft position, contract size, or theoretical upside. Patrick Williams must become a dependable 3-and-D forward. Rob Dillingham has to prove his shot creation outweighs his defensive concerns. Dailyn Swain needs to win minutes through defense, rebounding, and connective play. Leonard Miller must turn activity into a repeatable role. Noa Essengue likely needs Windy City reps before becoming a true rotation option.Plus, Haize reacts to Bill Simmons comparing Caleb Wilson to Tracy McGrady after Wilson's monster Summer League run, and why Bulls fans should be excited while still keeping expectations grounded. Wilson averaged 23.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 steals, and 2.5 blocks while shooting 50% from the field and 41.9% from three. Also: Tre Jones gets called a Bulls hidden gem, and Haize explains why his steady playmaking, efficiency, and $8 million salary could matter more than fans realize.
