The Gonzaga Bulldogs powered through a slow start to down the Northern Illinois Huskies, 88-67, behind 26 points from Drew Timme, a career night from Ben Gregg, and an outstanding all-around performance from Hunter Sallis. Sallis had another productive night, while Malachi Smith looked like Gonzaga's best offensive guard. It prompts the big question - should Gonzaga change up the starting lineup? Julian Strawther had just four points in 17 minutes, while Rasir Bolton was 1-7 from the field. Is it time to make a move? We also look at Ben Gregg's monster night, where he scored 18 points off the bench. Efton Reid had a nice showing as well, and we got a glimpse of Dominick Harris in the closing minutes. We close the show looking at a few Zags in the NBA, including a career-season from Zach Collins and Corey Kispert, and injury to Rui Hachimura, and a nice showing from Kelly Olynyk on the Utah Jazz. As we countdown to Thanksgiving just a week away, the sports world is always serving up the appetizer, main course, dessert and all the trimmings as I'll have plenty to discuss on this latest episode. On deck: (3:03) NFL Week 11 has the Packers in the Thursday primetime spot vs. the Titans. After a come from behind win vs. the Cowboys on Sunday, do they have what it takes to go on a tear and put themselves in position to qualify for the playoffs? I'll do a deep dive on that, take a look at the schedule on Sunday and briefly touch on a potential of huge games come Week 13 and Thanksgiving Day a week from today. (18:34) There are only two games to zero in on when it comes to college football on Saturday. Can UCLA put a damper on USC's playoff hopes as they host the Trojans in a rivalry setting? How about Baylor attempting to do the same to TCU as they continue to sit in their lofty perch of being one of the top four teams in the country? (26:13) Is it time for concern in the Bay Area if you're the Warriors? They've have not won a road game to date (0-8) are currently 6-9 and spoiled a 50 point effort by Steph Curry last night in Phoenix. With the recent comments of Curry and coach Steve Kerr, is it possible that there's a disconnect in the locker room? Could this be the remnants of what took place toward the end of training camp when Draymond Green punched Jordan Poole? Kyrie Irving is expected back in the Nets lineup come Sunday since his suspension. Why has it taken longer than the five games that he sat out in order for him to get back on the court? I'll also talk about the defensive disgrace by the Nets vs. Sacramento, the sizzling Celtics and how the Jazz and Cavaliers have cooled off a bit. (40:06) The NHL has been status quo when it comes to the torrid starts of the Bruins, Golden Knights and in particular, the Devils as they've currently won ten games in a row. (40:58) The MLB Hot Stove is starting to heat up as we have a few signings and transactions (Yankees re-sign Anthony Rizzo, Angels sign P Tyler Anderson, Mariners acquire OF Teoscar Hernandez) but with free agent pitcher, fresh off of a Cy Young Award at 39 years of age, where will Justin Verlander sign as he's looking for a contract similar to the Mets Max Scherzer. (48:08) Soccer fans unite! The World Cup finally arrives this Sunday. I'll have a VERY dumbed down preview of who are the favorites, a dark horse team and predict who'll become the champs when it's all said and done. Ryan was discussing amongst himself, and really venting to friends over the week about how the Washington Nationals have seamlessly done.... absolutely nothing in free agency. Because when you look at this team, and specifically the payroll heading into 2023, there are PLENTY of moves to be made. The Nats currently sit about $41 million dollars under the average payroll in all of MLB, and they are easily the biggest market that is below average when it comes to their payroll, why is that? Is there a gleam for them to make an unprecedented move? The Nationals do have some upside from their pretty loaded farm system, and Cade Cavalli used to be the king of that castle. And now, he is set to be in the Nationals rotation for 2023 and beyond. After a rough debut in the bigs against the Reds, Cavalli was shut down with an arm injury that sidelined him from mid-August to the end of the year. What should we be expecting from the once crown jewel of the organization's farm system? The Seattle Mariners made a SPLASH yesterday acquiring Teoscar Hernandez from the Blue Jays, and they could be looking to move off one of their outfielders. Could the Nats be in play for Jarred Kelenic, Kyle Lewis, or Jesse Winker?  Follow Ryan Clary on Twitter: https://twitter.com/Ryanclary11 Follow Locked On Nationals on Twitter: https://twitter.com/LO_Nationals Learn more about your ad choices. Today's word of the day is ‘stale' as in stale bread as in unripe as in moldy as in sitting around too long as in the Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros both found themselves down early in their games. The Braves tried to make a comeback against the Phillies but fell a run short. The Astros needed a historic blast from Yordan Alvarez to walk-off against the Mariners. (11:00) Scott Servais chose to pitch Robbie Ray in the 9th inning against Yordan Alvarez. Do you agree with that move? Did this backfire? (17:10) we have a Draymond Green update. He'll be back sooner than most thought. (20:40) We had news of two different sort of freak injuries that will keep pitchers from the Divisional Series. David Robertson got hurt celebrating a Bryce Harper home run by jumping! Phil Maton broke his hand punching a locker angry after a game. WHAT!? Inexcusable. (29:00) Review: Don't Make Me Go. (31:10) So You Wanna Talk To Samson!? Someone asked me about the Padres trying to keep Dodgers fans away from San Diego for the Divisional Series. Hmm. Will it work? (35:45) NPPOD. (39:30) We have an update on Eric Kay, former Los Angeles Angels staffer, he's going to jail. Adnan Syed is getting out of jail. Brett Favre, not going to jail, but should be in jail.
