Ο Αιγόκερος περιφρουρεί το μυστικό της ψυχής, το μυστικό της κρυμμένης δόξας, που αποκαλύπτεται στο μαθητή στο αποκορύφωμα της τρίτης μύησης, στη μεταμόρφωση της προσωπικότητας από την ψυχή στην κορυφή του όρους. Αυτή, όμως, η μεταμόρφωση μπορεί να επισυμβεί μόνο ως αποτέλεσμα προσπάθειας, της ικανότητας να ανέλθουμε πάνω από τους περιορισμούς της προσωπικότητας, να επιμένουμε στην ανηφόρα παρά τα εμπόδια και τις δυσκολίες. Capricorn guards the secret of the soul, the secret of the hidden glory, revealed to the disciple at the climax of the third initiation, the transfiguration on the mountain top of the personality by the soul. But this revelation can occur only as the result of effort, of the ability to rise above the limitations of the personality, to persist on the upward way in spite of hindrances and difficulties. There is no easy way for an individual to free himself from his own limitations of selfishness and separateness; and there are no short cuts. It is a long, painful process in which we learn eventually by personal experience that self-discipline, self-control and self-sacrifice form the foundation stones of discipleship. On this foundation the superstructure of a loving, responsible way of life, reflecting the values of the soul, may eventually develop. This growth in consciousness becomes the way of initiation, the way to the mountain top, towards the supernal light which reveals the soul as the real Self, the Plan as the responsibility of discipleship, and the spiritual Hierarchy of the planet as the center of love into which initiation admits the accepted disciple. Capricorn is therefore the outstanding sign of initiation.

So we see the tests of the physical, emotional, and mental condition of human beings clearly working out in world affairs. The Four Qualities which a group must develop in unison prior to Initiation New Moon in October The idea of groups and their formation is one of the predominant trends today, and a major characteristics of our times. Everywhere groups are emerging in response to every possible challenge and problem facing humanity. In this is much hope engendered. On the other hand, there are groups forming whose goals also appear to be destructive. The underlying duality of existence makes this situation perhaps inevitable. Of particular interest are those groups that are comprised of those whose imagination is at least partly guided by the Ageless Wisdom teachings and whose foundation and inspiration derive from the teachings provided by “The Seven Laws of the Soul or Group Life” found in Esoteric Psychology, Vol. II and “The Fourteen Rules of Group Initiation” found in The Rays and the Initiations. These latter groups are seeking to respond to new energies that are becoming increasingly available. We shall review the Four Qualities which these emerging groups must develop in unison in order successfully “To toil in Pisces, illumined by Taurus and respond in measure to the Aquarian influence or Energies”. Questions for reflection and discussion: How would you define or explain the idea of group consciousness to a new and enquiring student? How has your understanding of an esoteric group and group consciousness evolved through your reflections on esoteric work? Libra is a sign of balancing, of careful weighing of values, and of achieving the right equilibrium between the pairs of opposites through the right utilisation of the balancing, analytical faculty of mind. Libra governs the legal profession and holds the balances between so-called right and wrong, between negative and positive. Libra has been the "sponsor of the law". The law must become the custodian of a positive righteousness and not simply the instrument of enforcement. Just as we are attempting to eliminate force out of our national relationships, and just as it is obvious today that the process of drastic penalties has not succeeded in preventing crime or in deterring people from violent selfishness (for that is what all crime is), and just as the social attitude (in contradistinction to the anti-social position of all law-breakers) is being regarded as desirable and taught in our schools, so it is beginning to dawn upon the public consciousness that the inculcation of right relations and the spread of self-control and the growth of unselfishness (and these surely are the goal, subjective and oft unrealised, of all legal procedure) are the needed approach to the young. The key for growth is the cultivation of harmlessness. Harmlessness is not negativity or inaction; it is a condition of "perfect poise, a completed point of view and divine understanding".

To Free the Prisoners of the Planet New Moon in September This meeting will focus on one of the primary tasks of the New Group of World Servers which is “to free the prisoners of the planet.” We will address humanity's role as a redemptive agent within the planetary Life, a redeemer not only of our fellow human beings but also of those lives which constitute the animal and vegetable kingdoms. Humanity's destiny stems from the fact that it is only through humanity that spirit and matter meet, giving birth to the soul. To fulfill this destiny humanity is tasked with unfolding the intuition and the consequent achieving of illumination. Then humanity will fulfill its destined task of reaching both inwards to the source of light and outwards into the "fields of darkness". As forerunners in this work, setting our spiritual intention to serve within our environment provides the means whereby we can play our part in freeing the prisoners. Questions for reflection and discussion: Please share your understanding of this task of the new group of world servers to “free the prisoners of the planet.” What steps are you taking in your daily life and service to contribute to this effort? Η υπηρεσία αποτελεί το θεμέλιο της εξελικτικής διαδικασίας σε αυτόν τον πλανήτη. Μαθαίνουμε, συνειδητά, να συνεργαζόμαστε με τη διαδικασία αυτή όσο περισσότερο μαθαίνουμε να ζούμε σύμφωνα με τις επιταγές της ψυχής και λιγότερο με τις απαιτήσεις της προσωπικότητας. Podemos colaborar conscientemente en este proceso cuando aprendemos a vivir más bajo los dictados del alma y menos bajo las demandas de la personalidad. Pero el esfuerzo por colaborar no es para nuestro propio beneficio. Todos somos mejores seres humanos si redimimos nuestras personalidades y si aprendemos que la vida, incluso la más pequeña, es un alma en manifestación; pero el propósito esencial es que podamos convertir este crecimiento y expansiones de conciencia en un servicio mayor a toda la humanidad. KEYNOTE: "I AM THE MOTHER AND THE CHILD. I, GOD, I, MATTER AM." "Throughout the whole process of growth and evolution, and potent in Virgo, runs the theme of service." Service underlies the evolutionary process in this planet. We can consciously cooperate with this process as we learn to live more by the dictates of the soul and less by the demands of the personality. But the effort towards cooperation is not for our own benefit. We would all be better off personally for having redeemed our personalities and having learned how to live, even by a little, as a soul in manifestation; but the essential purpose is that through these expansions and growth in consciousness we may become of greater service to humanity as a whole. Service is not a matter of planned and contrived activity; not necessarily participation in worthwhile actions, although these too are needed; but as one is capable of reflecting soul energy into every aspect of daily life, it not only transforms the environment, but acts as a transmutative agent within the heart of humanity. It serves also to contribute to the transfiguration of the whole human personality by the power of the human soul. Service in its true sense is a spontaneous effect of soul control, based on love for humanity. Love and service are inseparable qualities in the life of the soul and in the endeavour of the soul to express itself more perfectly through the personality form. In Virgo we can develop this demonstration of love as right relationship and service as an attribute of love.

KEYNOTE: "I AM THE MOTHER AND THE CHILD. I, GOD, I, MATTER AM." "Throughout the whole process of growth and evolution, and potent in Virgo, runs the theme of service." Service underlies the evolutionary process in this planet. We can consciously cooperate with this process as we learn to live more by the dictates of the soul and less by the demands of the personality. But the effort towards cooperation is not for our own benefit. We would all be better off personally for having redeemed our personalities and having learned how to live, even by a little, as a soul in manifestation; but the essential purpose is that through these expansions and growth in consciousness we may become of greater service to humanity as a whole. Service is not a matter of planned and contrived activity; not necessarily participation in worthwhile actions, although these too are needed; but as one is capable of reflecting soul energy into every aspect of daily life, it not only transforms the environment, but acts as a transmutative agent within the heart of humanity. It serves also to contribute to the transfiguration of the whole human personality by the power of the human soul. Service in its true sense is a spontaneous effect of soul control, based on love for humanity. Love and service are inseparable qualities in the life of the soul and in the endeavour of the soul to express itself more perfectly through the personality form. In Virgo we can develop this demonstration of love as right relationship and service as an attribute of love.

Alors, elle transforme non seulement l'environnement, mais agit comme un agent de transmutation au cœur de l'humanité. Le service contribue aussi à la transfiguration de toute la personnalité humaine par le pouvoir de l'âme humaine. Dans son sens réel, il est un effet spontané du contrôle de l'âme, basé sur l'amour pour l'humanité. L'amour et le service sont des qualités inséparables dans la vie de l'âme et dans l'effort de l'âme pour s'exprimer plus parfaitement à travers la forme de la personnalité. The new moon period is a time of pause wherein together we can establish a soul-mind-brain alignment. During this period we work in thought to concretize the ideas and impressions received at the time of the full moon period and undertake the sometimes difficult process of translating them into practical plans that can be of service in the world. Ο βασικός τόνος για τον ΛΕΟΝΤΑ, «ΕΓΩ ΕΙΜΑΙ ΕΚΕΙΝΟ ΚΙ ΕΚΕΙΝΟ ΕΙΜΑΙ ΕΓΩ» Το ζώδιο του Λέοντα έχει μια ξεχωριστή σχέση με τον ήλιο και την καρδιά του δικού μας ηλιακού συστήματος. Η πλανητική και συστημική ευθυγράμμιση που δημιουργείται στην εορτή αυτή είναι μια ευθυγράμμιση καρδιάς/ψυχής. The time of the full moon is a period when spiritual energies are uniquely available, facilitating a closer rapport between humanity and the Hierarchy. Energies of light and love and the will-to-good are always available to those who can contact them in meditation. But in all aspects of our planetary life there are cycles in the ebb and flow of spiritual energies with which groups, as well as individuals, can consciously cooperate. One of the major energy cycles coincides with the phases of the moon, reaching its peak, its high tide, at the time of the full moon. This is a time, therefore, when the invocation and radiation of energy through group meditation can be uniquely effective. The meeting consists of a talk, followed by a group meditation.
