We can't believe it, but it's our final episode of this season! This week we catch up on last weeks interview with the wonderful Gio. We also have a festive Q&A, and discuss our Christmas plans. Our guest this week is Gio Paes. Gio speaks to us about growing up in Brazil and knowing since the age of 5 that he was gay, but unable to tell his parents or wider family knowing that it wouldn't be accepted. Gio tells us how he lived life as a straight man for so long, how was he outed by a family member, and what his life is like now with his husband and their four beautiful children. Doireann is a GP and is passionate about women's health and General Practice, she is a lecturer at The University College Cork School of Medicine, she is a regular contributor on The Today Show as well as on Radio, and as I'm sure you know if you follow Doireann online she loves to share her passion for health and wellbeing through her social media and her podcast, “Dr. Doireann's Podcast”. She is the creator of Supplements Made Simple, an evidence-based range of supplements designed to help people get a real health benefit from their daily supplement routine. She is also a mother to a beautiful little boy. We chatted to Doireann about how she balances it all, what inspired her to be a doctor, and bombarded her with some of our own health queries! October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we are so grateful to Helen Long for being our guest this week and sharing her breast cancer story. From diagnosis to treatment, and having to consider her future fertility in the midst of it all, Helen spoke so honestly and openly to us. We hope you love this conversation as much as we did.
