If there is such a thing as the typical college experience, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, the two most famous child star twins of all time, were probably never going to have it. In the Cancelled courtroom today are arguably the second most famous twins, to us, but our similarities won't stop us from investigating their every move. We may not be lawyers, but we do have a Diploma of twin minds (that's not a real thing don't sue us). Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were baby stars, who got their first "acting" gig at 9 months old on Full House. Apparently they were difficult on set... rude and crapped a lot. Then they starred in multiple TV shows and 126 million movies where they'd travel to different cities and get up to mischief, chase boys and twin swap. Should they be charged with making us obsessed with them somehow? We're also unpacking what has led to them being such private people today. There was a feud with Spencer Pratt (he was on The Hills if you don't remember his name) and they also unsurprisingly fight with each other... such typical twins. They have tried to keep their arguments a secret but we know exactly what they would've been about. Plus, more of your lazy gewl stories. How does Urkel show up in this one? Who's the only decent member of the Full House cast? And why is Tom Dooley hanging his head and crying? We get a closer look at the answers to these questions and more as we watch Season 4, Episode 16 of Full House. Alex Diamond, David Kenny, and John McDaniel heard that the long-running network sitcom Family Matters ends with side character Steve Urkel going to space. And the best way to figure out how that happened - obviously - is to watch the last episode first and make our way backwards through nearly ten years of television.Join our countdown to number one (and our slow descent into madness) in all the places you expect internet people to be:Website: jumpingtheshuttle.spaceEmail: jumpingtheshuttle@gmail.comInstagram: @JumpingTheShuttle / @ThatAlexD / @dak577Twitter: @JumpingShuttle / @ThatAlexD / @dak577TikTok: @JumpingTheShuttle / @ThatAlexD / @dak577Brought to you by Smooth My Balls

New York, New York! This week all of our topics are related to the Big Apple. In 2004 we covered the series finale of Friends and Rachel getting off the plane before diving into the Olsen Twins' New York Minute. Then we talk about Jay-Z & Solange's elevator incident from the Met Gala in 2014. All this plus reminiscing on our outfits at 13 - it's a packed episode!
The headline is a bit misleading but British PM Tony Blair did visit the US this week 20 years ago where he held a joint press conference with the US President Geroge W Bush to talk all things Coalition of the Willing and give an update on the War in Iraq. Surprisingly Bush managed to forget a few key dates when questioned. In sport West Indian Cricket batting legend Brian Lara broke the record for the highest individual score in a test innings with a whopping 400 not out. In spite of this, the match against England would result in a draw. On the charts Usher continues with world domination and add his latest single 'Burn' to the Billboard charts to compete with 'Yeah'. But Mario Winans says 'I Don't Wanna Know' . If you think that song isn't that old, you're probably remembering The Weekend's version 'Creepin' from 2022. In entertainment news, the Olsen Twins, Mary-Kate and Ashley go to war with the press as they fight for their right not to be called 'The Olsen Twins'.And Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey make us wonder if they actually are Muppets when their variety special airs on NBC featuring Kitt from Knight Rider, Jewel and the actual Muppets among all their guests. We also take a peek at the New York Times Best Seller for this week in 2004 'Against All Enemies: Inside America's War on Terror' by former U.S. chief counter-terrorism advisor Richard A. Clarke.Along with some other stuff! Hang with us on socials to chat more noughties nostalgia - Facebook (@tminus20) or Instagram (tminus20podcast). Bunheads Episode 7 "What's Your Damage, Heather?"/Firefly Episode 7 "Jaynestown"One's a familiar face from Jayne's past, back for revenge. The other's a familiar face from our Gilmore Slayer past, back as a sh*tty plumber, and they both have one eye. Coincidence, Amy!?! It's hard to imagine which smells worse, Fanny's mildewy dressing room, or Jayne's muddy planet. Also which is more disgusting, mudder's milk or that fried food buffet the bunheads consumed. Neither Michelle nor the Magistrate's son feel like grownups, and later both Sasha and the Magistrate's son act out in a big way to get adults to notice them. Here's the episode that was never supposed to happen: It Takes Two (1995). A departure from our Dualstar Entertainment Produced-Journey, this film starring the Olsen Twins is a throwback for the ages. Adri is joined by our White Man from our White Man's Corner, Seth to talk about the shenanigans two identical strangers get up to when their world is threatened by adoption to what amounts to be a workhouse (Amanda) and an evil stepmother (Allysa). They get into some prince and the pauper-like scenarios. Like in Billboard Dad (1998), the girls hatch a matchmaking plan that they hope will solve all their dilemmas. The lucky pair? Roger Callaway (Steve Guttenberg), a communications billionaire father to Allysa, and Diane (Kristie Alley, RIP), Amanda's case worker at the orphanage. Did this 1995 movie manage to charm us? Much like Once Upon a Time, this episode goes off the rails quite quickly - well, let's be real, Cuties; it was never on the rails to begin with (much like Chelsea's thought process after hearing Donny's gay Olsen Twin story). Donny reveals another beauty standard that he's not willing to budge on, and Chelsea reminisces about her favorite storyline on The OC (spoiler alert: it's the lezzies). Also, as the duo dives into the 2011 Justin Timberlake/Amanda Seyfried sci-fi movie, In Time, they theorize how to defeat (or weaponize) capitalism. A donkey is smarter than you, Pumpkin Head. Today on The Neil Haley Show, Neil "The Media Giant" Haley and Kim Sorrelle will interview Cynthia Geary. CYNTHIA GEARY, stars as Charley. She is known for ”Northern Exposure” (1990-1995), ”8 Seconds” co starring with Luke Perry (1994), ”The Awakening”(1995), “To Grandmother's House We Go” with the Olsen Twins (1992), and Sherman Alexie's “Smoke SIgnals” (1998).
Brandon has been begging for it and Jane finally delivered — our first Olsen Twins movie! Mary-Kate and Ashley are in fine form as two precocious 13-year-olds who spend spring break in Paris with their grandfather. But don't worry, just because this is technically a kid's movie, our hosts don't hold back. We cover why there doesn't seem to be a single French person in a movie about France, why their chaperone Jeremy is taking work advice from 13-year-olds, and how shocking it was to see our Olsen twosome have so much influence over local political matters.
Helene and Adri continue their nostalgia-filled Olsen twin journey with yet another Dualstar Entertainment production, Switching Goals (1999). Not known for our knowledge, or (frankly) passion, for sports, this episode is full of non-sporting observations with the occasional bone thrown at those of you who actually like sports. Growing Up Millennial is out now! We are available on all major podcast platforms! In this inaugural episode of the podcast, hosts Adri and Helene talk about how they grew up, how media impacted their lives, their hopes for season one of the podcast, and what the show will cover in the future. Season one of Growing Up Millennial holds a really special place in our hearts: the direct-to-video (that's VHS to you, dear listeners) movies made by the Olsen Twins in the '90s and early aughts. These films were a staple of our combined childhood (even with our seven-year age difference), and Adri and Helene are here to dissect, discuss, and reminisce about all of them. We go through the plot, the fashion, the feminism, and we even give a voice to the voiceless in podcasting, the straight white cis dude. Even though we want to say that Our Lips Are Sealed to surprise our audience with which movies we're going to cover throughout these eight episodes, we can safely say that you'll get a full list pretty soon. Some may even say that you'll see it in a New York Minute. What to expect from our first episode: We hope you have your virtual passports, pretend airline tickets, and spiritual cross-body backpacks at the ready, because we're headed to Paris! What could be more iconic (or should we say iconique?) than to begin our Dualstar journey with the 1999 classic, Passport to Paris? Nothing, that's what. I mean, this movie had FASHION (yes, the usage of all caps was a necessary choice) and a romance for the ages (I'm looking at you J-Man & Brigitte). Pass us a note in class. Get your passports ready, we're headed to Paris! Well, more like Parisian streets with a heavy dose of California interior and exterior shots, but you get the picture. Join Helene and Adri as they dish all about the 1999 Dualstar Entertainment / Tapestry Films classic that made us want crossbody backpacks, Passport to Paris (1999). This movie was produced by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen (executive producers, natch) and the fashions are all over the place (possibly also available at your nearest Target rn). It's 2003 – a year that saw the premiere of 'The OC,' 'ANTM' as well as the Olsen Twin's and Hilary Duff together on a magazine cover – and 50 Cent has the best-selling album. The New York gangster rapper is hot, dangerous and hunted (literally, he has at least three contract killers after him right now). Come with us to Jamaica, Queens to meet the most resilient man (maybe ever!???) who is ready to get rich, or die trying. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/50-cent-interview-twentieth-anniversary-debut-1234676144/Subscribe to our Patreon HEREFollow us on Instagram HEREFollow us on Tiktok HEREFollow Beatrice HEREFollow Ivana HERE
Jodie & Andrea tackle Joey's identity crisis and realize it was probably difficult to get TWO identical leather daddy outfits. But it WAS easy to get a massive pink Walkman, as we learn about a fun Kirk Cameron Easter Egg and what Austin Powers has in common with Full House. And how did they get those Olsen Twin sounds? It might just surprise you. Pull up your chopper and play some Don Ho - it's time for a brand new How Rude, Tanneritos.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We are back with Agueda Ramirez to get into it ALL. Jodie Sweetin steps Behind The Rope. Jodie is here to chat about the full anthology of her career none the least of which is her role as Stephanie Tanner on Full and Fuller House. Jodie chats about what life was like on set as a then child working alongside a cast of colleagues who became life long friends - Candiace Cameron, Bob Saget, John Stamos, Lori Loughlin, Dave Coulier, Andrea Barber and Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. Jodie shares highlights and what it was like to reprise the role of Stephanie twenty years later now as a grown adult. Jodie chats about the fashion mavens the Olsen Twins' have become a la The Row, their lack of participation in Fuller House and whether they may ever return to the franchise. Of course, Jodie discuses the many projects she was worked on outside of Stephanie Tanner - Dancing With The Stars, Pants-Off Dance-Off, Hollywood Darlings and all those feel good Christmas movies for Hallmark and Lifetime. Finally, on a personal note, Jodie opens up about the loss of Bob Saget, her “TV Dad”, how she is doing mere months later and whether this would affect another reboot of the Full House legacy in any form in the future. @jodiesweetin @behindvelvetrope @davidyontef BONUS & AD FREE EPISODES Available at - www.patreon.com/behindthevelvetrope BROUGHT TO YOU BY: VESSI - vessi.com/velvet (Get a Pair Of The Best Waterproof Sneakers & Shoes Around) MIRACLE MADE - trymiracle.com/velvet (For 40% Off The Best Temperature Regulated Sheets. This time to battle the guy he shot in the arm in civil court. The Jordan Neely family wants a piece of that $2.8M fundraising money for Daniel Penny.
