Hello there! Welcome to episode 86! This week, in a special socially distant episode, The Boys are catching up and spilling the tea on one of Painted Trash Podcast's most well known activities --- gossip! You got your port vintage ready to go? Here we go....Kicking off this week's Pick-Up , Mark had several planned activities fall through at the last minute so he had plenty of down time to enjoy some one-on-one with Scott H! Believe it or not, the extra quality time had nothing to do with the *cues the harp*--- though this week's episode was a socially distant one as one of The Boys was potentially exposed to it. To kick off his Pick-up, Casey is thrilled to announce his return to the courts... volleyball courts that is! After having last year off and the previous year's season cut short, seems it is a sign more and more glimpses of pre-pandemic life are returning. Then, Casey is discussing one of his favorite bands, Shannon and The Clams, who he just had the great fortune of live in concert! In this week's Mid-Section, Mark & Casey are discussing gossip. Is it always bad? Can be good sometimes? If it's bad, who says and why is it bad? oh, and how is it bad for us. Whether you call it "hot goss", "gossip", "tea", "truthbombs" (or insert another option like these), most of engage in it on some level with differing variety of responses. The Boys are going deep, sharing stroies, and experiences to challenge such a broad, emotional topic. Then in this week's Trash Talk, one of our favorite TV series of all time has released a trailer of their upcoming season and it looks like it's going to be everything we had hoped! Then Casey is telling us about a man who went to trade in the car back to the same dealer he got it from and found himself under arrest. Next, Mark has a story about a mother-daughter pairing who were having a fight like many of us have had before about the cleanliness of room/ house. Have you experienced it ending in a food fight?? Well, these two did and you won't believe what happened next! Closing out this week's segment, a television personality who has been discussing her latest relationship is starting to see some of the challenges they will face about their future. In this week's recommendations, Casey is recommending a new television series now showing on TNT/USA. If you're a horror fan, you won't want to miss this one! Then in a Painted Trash Podcast first, Mark is recommending a previous recommendations he hasn't yet seen. This one's a personal one full of laughter, thoughtfulness, and as you've come to expect, full of tea! So pour yourself some of your favorite fall port vintage, grab a canvas, some paints and lets get Painted! Enjoy!=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Will you start on offense, or on defense? What would you give up to play the Squid Game? That's the real question here! Before the games start, maybe you should grab your lightsaber or your Chucky doll and hit the playground to practice your moves. Red or blue, it's all up to you!The fall weather has settled in nicely and in this spoopy season the boys have gathered again around the computer screen... erm... the recording studio to discuss the past month of pop culture and they've got some great topics to share with you! After a well placed Back To The Future reference, they jump into the first topic, Star Wars Visions on Disney+. What did the boys think about this new anime style anthology series about the beloved Lucasfilms property and does it match up with what you thought? Chime in to let them know! From there the boys get cursed in the body of a Child's Play thing with Syfy's newest gay rights icon, Chucky! After that, the boys get ready to shed some tears with the help of Bob the Drag Queen, Shangela, and Eureka as they discuss the second season premiere of HBO's We're Here. Have you watched this season yet? Did you ugly cry or has your soul turned to ash? Let the boys know what you think of this new season on social media! Once the boys get back from a brief station identification they tackle the final topic of the month and it's one of (if not THE) top watched programs from Netflix, Squid Game! The boys dive into the premise, the dub versus sub debate, and whether or not any of the characters were redeemable throughout the show. Pat for sure has some thoughts and questions after binging the entirety of Squid Game in one day. Have you watched the show yet? What would you do for a second season of Squid Game if you were in charge? Sound off in the comments! As always, the boys close out the show with the things that are giving them life, their 1-UPs!Sit back and get ready to FLAME ON! Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/flameon. Welcome to Episode 82! This week Mark & Casey have got a big show chocked full of goodies. So grab your supplies and get ready to paint!Kicking off this week's Pick Up, Mark is discussing a rare event and the impact of the event on his life. Then Casey is dishing on some professional challenges, but reviewing a Drag show he attended with Drag legends, Manila Luzon, Trinity The Tuck, and Ginger Minj highlighting the catalog of Canadian Pop Icon, Celine Dion! Next up, it's the Mid-Section and this week's is a biggie! As movie theaters re-open and the Fall season gets started, movies are once again being released into theaters rather than direct streaming (though some quality films are debuting on streaming). Mark & Casey are discussing some of the most highly anticipated movies expected this Fall (and some not so anticipated). This is typically the kick off to what is expected to be some of strong awards contenders. Which ones have you heard about? Which ones are new to you? What ones will you see? Which will you miss? Did we miss any??Then it's on to everyone's favorite weekly segment, Trash Talk! Kicking off this week is a viral video of a televangelist call out the LGBTQIA+ and their supporters offering up judgement and blame in a bigoted video. Speaking of Canada, a husband learned his wife got vaccinated for COVID-19 and sprung to action to address how she received it. Now - a nationwide manhunt is on. But why?? Next - two stories out of Florida where a new Surgeon General has been appointed and one of the first orders of business is to block any mask mandates in schools all while allowing parents to make the decision if their children should stay home to quarantine after exposure to COVID-19 or if they are ok to go to school as long as they do not exhibit symptoms. Lastly to close it out - a woman in Philadelphia was tired of waiting for her meal at a restaurant and drew her gun, intimidating workers, demanding her food "now!".Finally, in this week's recommendation Mark is suggesting a live capture of a musical focused on hope and healing in the face of a tragedy (based on a true story). Then Casey is recommending his favorite TV show now going into it's 41st season and back after filming was shutdown as a result of the corona-19-COVID-CORVID-1919-2020-2021.It's a jam packed all new episode with your gay best friends! After over seventy episodes and several many bottles of chilled Semillon (send me home), we've reached our Cycle 7 finale! As is tradition (of which there are many!) this ep sees us tackling a subject that's a little... left of the usual format.Second only to Madonna (welcome to her fempire), RuPaul's Drag Race is the cultural touchstone of Aural Fixation. We're hard-pressed to find an episode of the podcast that doesn't in some way reference the show (Tamar, have you ever watched the show?) or its contestants. Beyond the pod, we'd go so far as to say that Drag Race is THE defining piece of queer iconography of the last decade, and there ain't no signs of it stopping any time soon. As such, we felt it important – nay necessawry – to dedicate our Cycle 7 finale to the show that launched a thousand wig lines. But we couldn't do it alone! We've enlisted Entertainment Weekly reporter and Drag Race herstorian Joey Nolfi to weigh in on his experience of the show's impact and spill the tea on where the franchise might be heading. You ready, girl? This episode will Curl. Your. Hair. Want more from the boys? Welcome to Campfire Classics, a Literary Comedy Podcast!! Bienvenue, nos amis! Welcome, our friends! That's right! This week we're taking a crack at French literature, and Heather gets to swing at that sweet sweet troubling language. Our story today comes from author Maurice Marie Émile Leblanc, a French writer often compared favorably to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The story Ken has chosen for Heather is called "The Arrest of Arsène Lupin," and is the first ever appearance of the great gentleman-burglar and detective Arsène Lupin. It is a fascinating case, but not so fascinating that our hosts stay completely on topic. To Ken and Heather's credit, their tangents are almost relevant this time We have officially entered the Brenaissance Era. Wine glass symphonies are under utilized. Don't mount booty in public. "The Arrest of Arsène Lupin" was first published in 1905 and started nearly 30 years worth of crime and mystery stories. Promo this week from Boozed and Confused, another couple hosted podcast that delves in to the odd, creepy, and possibly supernatural mysteries in our history. Remember to tell five friends to check out Campfire Classics. Now sit back, light a fire (or even a candle), grab a drink, and enjoy.
