Join Jason Shiers Certified Psychotherapist and Transformative coach In this podcast series where I interview lots of change workers who have seen the misunderstandings in a certain area of life that a lot of humanity live by. Starting the conversations from a misunderstanding but highlighting that…
An insightful conversation with Angela about the human experience, what conscious relating is and how healing occurs
A beautiful conversation about trauma and how we block ourselves from love, connection and everything we want with unconscious beliefs, we unpick what gets in the way of seeing our own beauty and allowing ourselves to be loved, from the mind to the body, a fully inclusive conversation, through the lens of 3p, non duality, somatic healing and meditation.
This conversation with Rupert was recorded almost a couple of years ago, when I had just started really going to non dual retreats and wanting to be directly involved experientially, the reason I sat on it so long is on the audio before it starts, it turned out to be a great conversation covering so many subjects around the spectrum of experience, from suffering through to awakening and what happens on that journey for people including healing from trauma, what actually is trauma and how we might point people who are suffering to their true nature. Below are some of my insights from listening back:
This great conversation with Rudi & Jules goes from relationship triggers, to prison violence, from spiritual bypassing to embodying the essence of who you are
A great conversation with Rohini Ross that looks at how relationships are beautiful containers for healing when you see what is really playing out, embodying the struggles and leaning into the intelligence of all experience.
An in depth look with June Jackson at trauma, beliefs contained in the body's reactions to stimulus and the difference in spiritual pursuits and somatic investigations to find the roots of trauma beyond what the mind can see.
In this wonderful conversation with Clare Dimond we explore what is actually happening, in the body, right now, in our experience.
In this conversation with Sunitha Sandeep we discuss how the understandings of Buddhism, 3p and non-duality do not exempt you from trauma, that the body-mind is just 1 system that functions perfectly. How the experience of trauma in adulthood is only ever pointing you home, like all suffering. Spiritual bypassing, and more.
A beautiful conversation with Marnix Pauwels on the experience of loss, and being present to witness the sadness, the joy, the confusion the love.
Pete felt tired and worthless during his struggles with alcohol, trying his best to stay sober just was not working. Holding down a job but struggling inside with the battle not to drink every day. He came across the understanding of true nature and the inside out nature of life that transformed everything while trying to take his own life by jumping from a bridge. Saved by a passing soul in the form of a police officer Pete serendipitously found his way to freedom via the work of Sydney Banks.
An interesting conversation with Linda Pransky on the misunderstandings of psychology. We each share snippets from our own journey what looked true and what changed, how it looks different now, and simplicity of discovering our true nature, seeing whats beyond our thinking and what we need to experience transformation.
An insightful conversation with Rachel Singleton about the natural system within the body, how our health is always pointing us home back to the natural equilibrium of the system. You don't wan't to miss this one, if you have ever suffered with ill physical health, there is so much wisdom here.
When you see beyond the illusion of a self that can be developed, you realise that there is only one source of self esteem, all that you are.
A beautiful sharing of the simplicity of the human condition and our innate mental health by David Hill around the subject of post traumatic stress. It is such a well debated touchy subject, and easy to get lost in complicated solutions (which we talk about in the podcast). When you just see the relationship between thought and experience, things looks completely different. Enjoy
A wonderful conversation with Dr Giles p Croft on understanding the source of true happiness, it's not what you think, or maybe it is. When we get beyond our own efforts to create happiness we see that it's always there and there is nothing to do to get it.
This really was an eye opening conversation with Dominic who speaks so clearly to our attempts in the human experience to create in the world vs just allowing creation to flow through us. Upon listening for the 3rd time I hear new things and see things differently each time, he has a very clear way of expressing our true nature as creators.

A fun conversation with Dr Thomas Kelley on how a simple understanding of how the mind works, free's people from their thinking about themselves. I often get taken by the simplicity of the conversations on the podcast and this one was no different.
A rich conversation with Lili which really highlights the difference between purpose we make up in order to get somewhere in the world of form that seems somehow a representation of our created self image vs the purpose of being alive, and just being present to the moment.
A wonderful conversation with Cathy Casey about our innate resilience, how its always there yet we just don't know or see it.

This conversation really clearly highlights the misunderstanding of compulsive eating, where we spend a lifetime dealing with our thinking, what looks like the problem, and that we are all way bigger than that.
Covering everything from how mental health is diagnosed to the true source of mental well-being that is within all of us, Dr Petit shares a great understanding of our on board alarm systems and how we misunderstand what they are, and all of us are sitting in the middle of mental health.
