We continue in the "Babylon" Series from Daniel (2:25-49) with part 2 of the message titled "God Speaks Through Dreams", asking the Holy Spirit to help us understand the interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar's dream and apply it to our times. May it create in us a desire and ability to leverage our lives for Him, His Passion, His Glory and His Coming with joy and urgency!

We ask the Holy Spirit to show us why He spoke through Nebuchadnezzar to the ancient world (and even to us through this prophetic dream today)—and what are we to do with the information that He reveals.We will also talk about how God continues to speak through dreams, and how we should pray for, anticipate, and interpret these dreams for maximum effect and benefit. 

We continue our Daniel series with the first chapter message titled, "Orientation." In this series we will study the history of Israel in exile in Babylon through the stories of Daniel, and we will draw parallels to our own experience "in exile, in Babylon" as we await Jesus' return and our entrance into the Promised Land — our eternal home with Him and those we love!

Daniel was an exceptional young man—intelligent, wise and spiritually attuned to the will and ways of God. He was an asset to the King of Babylon, who sought to use him for the purposes of his kingdom. However, Daniel did not waver in his faith and remained steadfast in his convictions to not follow the Babylonian ways, choosing not to eat the ‘royal food.' He knew what was at stake. Daniel had integrity and great courage (even shrewdness), and God was faithful to honor Daniel's loyalty.There is no compartmentalization for those who are in Christ, though we may often live like there is. This message challenges us with the question: Is He truly “Lord of All” in my life? And do I live like He is?

The language of "putting this on" reminds us that this is a gift given and embraced rather than something earned through effort or merit. This message is all about “Confidence”. A major aspect of “Staying Strong in the Spirit” is not just having confidence but knowing what to have confidence in….
