Send us a textIn this episode of The Dirt Path Sermon Podcast, we journey into the often-overlooked book of Song of Songs, where a tender invitation becomes a wake-up call for our spiritual lives. Drawing from Song of Songs 2:14–15, Pastor Jason explores the metaphor of “little foxes” that sneak in and threaten to ruin the vineyards of our faith, relationships, and calling. This message was more than just a sermon—it was a physical, prayerful experience involving symbolic eggs, a real animal trap, and a powerful moment of surrender. While podcast listeners couldn't be in the room, you're invited to engage right where you are: reflect, respond, and consider what foxes might be quietly stealing the growth God is nurturing in your life. The episode closes with a heartfelt challenge, prayer, and a connection to the song “I Won't Let You Go” by Jon Foreman and Lauren Daigle—a reminder that God lovingly calls us out of hiding and won't let go, no matter what we're facing.Linkoln shares his story on why he started coming to Ravenna Church of the Nazarene and shares why you should consider doing the same.Ravenna Church of the Nazarene530 Main Street, Ravenna, KY 40472Enjoy this message? In this week's sermon from Song of Songs, Pastor Bob explores the significance of marriage as depicted in the Song of Songs, discussing the public celebration of love, the promises made between partners, and the importance of intimacy within a committed relationship, all while addressing common questions about love and sexuality in today's culture.
This sermon summarizes the Song of Songs up to this final message on the importance of a full surrender to Jesus' love. Only then will we truly know peace and feel the security and love our hearts long for. Our desire will be for His soon return.
Title: The King in His BeautyPreacher: Jim HamiltonSeries: Song of SongsPassage: Song of Solomon 5:8–16
A few verses in the last chapter of the Song of Songs are the climax of the whole book. Our identity becomes lost in our Savior as our hearts become secure in His love. His love never ends and cannot be quenched nor purchased. It is priceless, and it is ours in Jesus.

Here we find a reference to a young woman that wakes in the night and finds her lover gone. She got up in the night (meaning heaviness in the heart and soul), because her lover was gone. She inquired of the city's watchmen to no avail. However, she did not stop searching for him until she found him. And when she did, he came displaying his glory. The wisdom here is for us today to seek the Lord, when our hearts get heavy and burdened, until he responds to our cry, with deliverance from whatever that has befallen us. Seek the Lord, while he may be found. Seek the Lord for your personal Pentecostal experience.

Title: When the Wind Breathes on the GardenPreacher: Jim HamiltonSeries: Song of SongsPassage: Song of Songs 4:12–5:1
While the woman in the song had to pursue her husband later in the marriage and invite him to a romantic setting, we know Jesus is constantly pursuing us. There is no need to entice Him. But when we seek Him, we can know He is pleased, and we will find Him. He desires us more than we desire Him!
A realistic and encouraging episode. If we seek peace alone, we will never find it, because only Christ is the Prince of Peace. Chad explains, consoles and encourages yet again in this often overlooked book of scripture. This is our final episode on Song of Songs and the songs of Isaiah is coming next. Relationships In Song Of Songs Class 12 [Ps. Jon] by Maretul Har UK
There is a progression of love that equates to spiritual maturity. We grow from loving God for our sake to loving God for His sake. His desires become our own. The more we realize how great His love is for us the greater our love is for Him.
Title: Beautiful and Unblemished: That She Might BePreacher: Jim HamiltonSeries: Song of SongsPassage: Song of Songs 4:1–7
Can we tell of our love for Jesus as passionately as the woman in the song? Is it possible for us to comprehend the greatness of the love Jesus has for us? The sermon challenges us to be the beautiful bride Jesus is forming us to become.
As we move towards the end of the Song of Songs, once again we are confronted with the depths and riches of God's perfect love for us. Uncomforatable and overwhelming, yet it is true; that God made us, delights in us and wants us to be forever with Him. Chad beautifully unpacks this reading and Izzi Ray sings a stirring rendition of "Jealous Love". Title: The Day of His WeddingPreacher: Jim HamiltonSeries: Song of SongsPassage: Song of Songs 3:6–11
The woman passionately describes her beloved, concluding with the phrase, "He is altogether desirable." We should be as fervent and illustrative when asked to describe our Lord's beauty. Does our life prompt them to ask what we see in Him?
"Better than I deserve" is a statement rich with meaning for those of us who have heard the good news and believed on the Lord Jesus Christ. This week's podcast finds us in chapter 6 of Song of Songs, caught up in a romantic dream come true. The analogy is pretty obvious; we are so loved by God, and God considers us His "body" on earth. Every part of the body has worth and Chad beautifully unpacks this encouraging passage. Izzi Ray sings "How Beautiful You Are". Sometimes, couples who are truly in love can misunderstand one another or have unrealistic expectations. This can cause doubts and hard feelings that prevent us from sharing our hearts. The same can happen in our relationship with God. The sermon includes the basic needs of husbands and wives.
That we are the "bride of Christ", this thought can get us confused and uneasy, as in "why would He want to have anything to do with me?" Chad once again meditates on these encouraging scriptures. When we are in trouble, we cling to God's love. As this episode is being uploaded, our beloved Lutheran brother Kris Lewis lies in a coma in California after suffering a severe stroke. If our faith left out the glorious love of the Bridegrrom, the lover of our soul, we would give in to despair. But no, we are loved now and into eternity, and loved so deeply that God would call us His bride. We cannot lose, when are hope is in Christ. The talented Marvelle Figueroa sings "My Perfect One". On this episode: Aaron is late and compromised, and Nate forgot. They discuss crisis management and cold fish. This week, Nate and Aaron interview Carl Lehenbauer. Carl is an author and pastor in Wisconsin. He shares that churches are often prudish and avoid the book of the Song of Songs, so he studied and wrote about it. Carl guides us on the model we should use in pursuing one another in a relationship. The book teaches that we should eat, drink, and be drunk with the wife of your youth. He talks about having sex with God in the room. Using the book for council and how to maintain realistic sexual expectations. It is also a tool used continually throughout marriage, not just courting as youth, helping us in conflict and tension. Also sharing the evidence that both parties in a relationship need their own community support.Book: Fire and Song: God's Love Song. We live in a world that has so grossly perverted the idea of love, so its easy to avoid thinking about God's love for us, because that could be a little gross and uncomfortable.
