Don’t worry this is not another couple making a relationship podcast, it’s WAY more than that! Listen in on what are normally Alia and Yoni’s private, day-to-day, honest conversations about their relationship, friendships, careers, fears, feelings, and whatever else is leftover. Being different ages, meeting on a little app called Tinder, and growing up on different sides of Europe (Romania & Belgium), it keeps people wondering what the conversations behind closed doors are really like. Get ready for an honest, raw, uncomfortable, and hilarious time! Follow us on IG: @aliazaita @yoniekoto
The Pillow Talk podcast is an absolute gem in the world of podcasts. Hosted by Alia and Yoni, this show never fails to captivate and entertain its listeners. From the moment you press play, you are instantly hooked by their engaging conversations that effortlessly flow from one topic to another. Each episode is filled with thought-provoking discussions that not only make you question your own beliefs, but also provide valuable insights into various aspects of life. Whether you're running errands or going for a walk, this podcast will keep you engaged and entertained.
One of the best aspects of The Pillow Talk podcast is the dynamic between Alia and Yoni. Their grounded and honest interactions create an atmosphere that feels like you're having a conversation with close friends. It's refreshing to listen to their genuine exchanges, as they share their thoughts, experiences, and wisdom on a wide range of topics. Their chemistry is palpable, making it easy to nod along and laugh along with them. This duo isn't afraid to tackle taboo subjects or say what others might be hesitant to say, creating a space where being human and experiencing human emotions is celebrated.
On the flip side, one could argue that The Pillow Talk podcast occasionally falls into gender stereotypes when discussing certain topics. While it can be true that there are differences between how men and women experience certain situations, hearing these generalizations repeated in almost every episode might feel repetitive for some listeners. It would be great to see more exploration of different perspectives beyond this binary framework.
In conclusion, The Pillow Talk podcast is a must-listen for anyone seeking engaging conversations, relatable topics, and genuine insights into life's ups and downs. Alia and Yoni bring warmth, humor, and wisdom to each episode, creating an easy-going atmosphere that will keep you coming back for more. So grab your favorite pair of earbuds or turn up the volume in your car because this podcast will make even the most mundane activities more enjoyable. With its relatability and authenticity, The Pillow Talk podcast is a true 10/10.

Ever feel like you have to be good at something to even try it? This week, we're unpacking the deep-seated fear of sucking at something, especially when it comes to physical activities. Also, is there a stark difference in amateur sports culture between men and women – where is the casual pick-up game culture for women? Why does it seem like guys just naturally have more low-stakes spaces to mess around and learn? What's up everything! Hope everyone's been doing great. We're still on our break and will be back next month with so much to talk about, we can't wait and we honestly really miss recording and filming new episodes! This week we wanted to revisit one of our favorite episodes from SEASON 2 (September 6th, 2023). For those who haven't checked it out yet we hope you enjoy it and for those who already did, maybe you can enjoy it.. again? lol we love you guys and see yall next week with another revisit episode!---Everyone knows that one of the hardest things to say in a relationship is those three words. But what about other non-romantic relationships in our lives? saying "I love you" comes easier to some people than others, as our previous experiences, the way we grew up culturally, and how we genuinely feel all play a part in telling someone you love them. do you tell your friends you love them all the time? or what about your parents and family? when was the last time you felt pressure to say "I love you" because someone said it first? those three little words can be so nuanced, complicated, and tough to handle, and in today's episode, we dove right in. Enjoy!Don't forget to subscribe to Yoni's new YouTube channel :https://www.youtube.com/@yoniekoto

This episode is pretty much a continuation of episode 139 "When We'll Have Kids". That wasn't the original plan for this week but somehow it happened and we just rolled with it. We want to thank every single person who sent us DM's and voice notes on Instagram sharing their experiences with kids after episode 139, this means a lot to us and we appreciate you more than you know.. it's really helpful. On this episode we were just trying to figure out how people raise kids away from their families, do a lot of people even do that? Or do most people "move back home" to get help and let the kids grow up around more family? Please let us know your thoughts on this episode, we hope you enjoy this conversation. We're so sorry the episode was so late this week, to make up for it we made a longer episode! Everyone has their way of dealing with conflict, especially in relationships. Some of us deal with tension head-on, while others need to step away and have some space to think things over on their own. In this episode we wanted to discuss what are the main arguments we run into as a married couple, what patterns we also tend to fall into, and how each of us deals with finding a resolution in the midst of disagreements and tension.Don't forget to subscribe to Yoni's new YouTube channel :https://www.youtube.com/@yoniekoto
We love sourdough bread in this WTJ household! So, Alia decided to take on a fun project and learn how to MAKE sourdough bread from scratch. It's been a process and every day seemed to be all about this sourdough loaf. We hope you enjoy this episode as much as we did.
If you've been here since SEASON ONE, you probably remember when we did the "Living With Your Partner" episode back in 2021 when we lived in Seattle. We didn't realize how much time flew by, and so quick! We thought it would be a great idea to revisit this topic and see if we have new thoughts and opinions to add to the last conversation. If you're new here, first of all WELCOME and thanks for being here! If you want to listen to PT. 1 of this topic you'll have to scroll all the way down to EPISODE 10! We hope you enjoy this episode, and please let us know how you handle some things in your own home if you live with your partner.
It feels so good to be back with a new episode. After a very much needed holiday break, you already know we have to catch up and share some stories. We got a cabin in upstate New York and spent the new year there with a few good friends of ours. Hope you enjoy this episode and as always please let us know your thoughts! When you get an Airbnb, do you wash things before you use them or do you trust it's clean? and also, how do you feel about using leftover necessities?
Last episode of the year! We want to thank everyone for still being with us on this journey, it's been an amazing year. BUT, season 3 is not over just yet. It's Yoni's birthday today! We kept it pretty chill today with no specific topic, once again. What are some things you like to do on your birthday? Do you ever feel pressured to do something or are you totally cool with keeping it small and chill? Hope you enjoy this episode!
Honestly, for this week's episode we did not know WHAT to talk about and we also weren't in the mood to talk about anything serious or mid-serious. So we thought it was the perfect time to continue our WTJ "OFF TOPIC" series! No notes, no topics, no direction, just us.. two microphones and no plan! Real test to see if we're good podcasters lol please let us know!
With the holiday season, we thought it was the perfect episode to talk about hosting people/friends. Have you ever hosted people at your place? What are the expectations of YOU as a host? Do you have any expectations from your guests at all and should there be? Hosting people is something new to us. We feel like we finally have the space to be able to truly host people and friends the way we want and it's been so fun to do so in our new Brooklyn apartment. Hope you enjoy this episode, maybe even with your family! Happy Holidays! :-)

In this episode, we explore the joys and challenges of having kids. Some people want to have kids of their own and some people don't. We really want to have kids someday, but we all know it comes with A LOT of responsibility. This was an open and honest conversation about our feelings and what it could be like. It's going to be something completely new and exciting to us but if we're being honest, it's a bit scary as well.We hope you enjoy this conversation as much as we did. For any parents out there, if you have any advice, our DM's are always open! :-)
When was the last time you confronted a friend about something they either said or done to you or someone else? Some people find it easy to address their friends about anything and some of us find it a bit more challenging. Not because we don't want to, but because... we don't want to hurt their feelings? This was absolutely one of our favorite episodes we've done this season. This is a topic we all can relate to. We would love to hear your thoughts on this! Hope you enjoy this conversation as much as we did. :-)
You might not have realized this but the New York City Marathon is considered and pretty much treated like a holiday around here. The race happened this past Sunday and Alia decided to make a whole day out of the event, so here we are discussing the beauty of watching runners from the sidelines and cheering them on, the "idea" and trend of running a marathon, where we are with our running, and any whether or not we're running the 2025 one...?

Having alone time in a relationship is just as important as spending time together. But sometimes it's easy to forget. While you and your partner are in love and love spending time together, there comes a point where you just want a moment to yourself by yourself, especially if you live together! This looks different in every relationship, some deal with this with no problem and some couples seem to struggle and are not sure how to go about it. As we always say, communication is the key. In this episode, we shared our experience with having alone time while living together. Hope you enjoy and please let us know your thoughts! :-)

On a scale of 1 to 10 how punctual are you? How many minutes late is really considered late? Some people say "on-time" is already late and that "early" is actually on time - so which one is it? In this episode we get into the timeliness of day to day life and how we think about time and punctuality.
Have you ever struggled to forgive someone who has hurt you? Do you find it difficult to let go of something that didn't sit well with you? Have you struggled to let go of grudges and resentment? In this episode, we delve into the complex topic of forgiveness and forgetting. We'll discuss the difference between forgiving and forgetting, and the importance of setting boundaries. Hope you enjoy this episode! Let us know your thoughts :-)
If you guys remember our episode "BAD HABITS" we've got a follow up episode for you but this time all about our good habits!
Would you consider yourself a good listener? or are you more of a talker? Also, what even makes a "good listener"..? Whatever it is, it's something that we should all be practicing because there's nothingggggg worse than having a conversation with someone and you can just tell that they're not actually paying attention to what you're saying. Pretty sure everyone has experienced that before and we all know how that feels like. Not great! This was one of our favorite conversations this year and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did! Please let us know your thoughts about this episode! :-)
We all have our different styles and things that we're into. Some things may be basic and some things may be a little more interesting. What makes something "basic" in your opinion? In today's episode, we talked about everything that could be considered "basic" and what isn't.. in our opinion. This was a fun episode because we didn't fully agree on this whole being basic thing. Tune in and let us know who you agreed with more! Hope you enjoy this episode as much as we did! :-)Sorry for the delay on this episode, we just got back in town and we've been playing catch uppppppp on so much work! But we're back!
Making and keeping friends as an adult is harder than it looks, especially with long-distance friends. Is texting each other every few weeks enough to maintain a close friendship? Is replying to your friend's Instagram story an actual interaction or just an easy way to feel like you don't owe them a call? In this episode, we explored the idea of friendship maintenance and what that looks like for both of us, especially since we have very different approaches to staying connected to others. Enjoy the listen!
new apartment, new podcast set up, new era for the WTJ fam! we still clearly have a lot to set up in our new home but we are so excited to be in this new space - we cover all the things that went down during our recent apartment move and more updates now that it's August. *Trigger Warning: This episode discusses body image concerns and eating disorders. We acknowledge these can be sensitive topics, so no worries if you have to click off, we love you.*We all have insecurities and we all deal with them in our own way. Some people like to share them with others and some (probably most) like to keep their insecurities to themselves. But what do you do when you're in a relationship and you live with your partner? Do you tell them about your insecurities? Do you still try to hide them? Is it even possible to hide them at that point? And if you do share them, what does your partner say to you?
Are you constantly reaching for your phone? Do you find yourself missing out on life's precious moments because you're too busy scrolling?
