Muslims hold a false, Islamized view of 'Jesus' which can be a stumbling block as we strive to share the Gospel with them. John 8:31-58 focuses on Jesus's claim to be the truth that sets people free, contrasted with the Jews' claims of freedom based on their lineage and religious practices. Jesus argues that true disciples abide in His word and are freed from the slavery of sin, while those who reject Him are enslaved to sin and ultimately to death.
