Is belief in the Great Architect of the Universe the same thing as belief in the God of the Bible? What do Free Masons mean when they say they believe in GAOTU?
Christians believe there is only one God. Since its beginning, the Christian faith has always been monotheistic. But after Christ's death, resurrection, and ascension, early Christian teachers recognized the divinity of Jesus and the work of the Holy Spirit and formulated the doctrine of the Trinity to encapsulate these truths. Join us as we explore passages in both the Old and New Testaments that provide the rich foundation for our belief in the Holy Trinity. Together, we'll discuss how the Church creeds have helped us articulate this mystery, aiming to give believers a deeper understanding and experience of God's triune nature.

Our good friend Nate Edwardson did part 3 of our “Strong Faith, Contagious Hope and Enduring Love” series. He took us on a journey through Luke 24, where Jesus is walking with the disciples after he died and resurrected. The disciples are in a state of confusion as to the recent happenings of Jesus and yet they were unaware he was with them at this moment. It was here, Jesus was right there with them as they were walking away from Jerusalem. He was walking with the disciples who were going in the wrong direction. It's amazing to see Jesus be willing to walk in the wrong direction with people. The question Nate posed to us is “are we willing to walk with others in the wrong direction”. One of the other powerful moments in Luke 24 is when Jesus opened up the scriptures to them. Nate shared that it was Jesus who opened up the scriptures to them and he encouraged us to not just read the bible but to do it with Jesus as he longs to reveal to us his Word. In this series we are wanting to see us be a people who are growing in our faith and one of the ways we do this is through the reading of his scriptures. Our prayer is your heart begins to be stirred to read and engage with the scriptures in such a way you experience the person of Jesus. For more info you can go to our website and also check us out on instagram and Facebook. We are also on YouTube. If you want to support STUDIO financially you can do so here. Have a great week!

When many of us came to Jesus, we expected to find the Jesus of the Bible, who has never changed. We want to know this supernatural God through whom all things were possible. Sadly, our family, friends, and even our church did all they could to lessen our expectations to protect us from disappointment. But I am telling you the God of the Bible can be found; He seeks to make Himself known. When we allow God to be who He really is, we can be who we really are. Join me this week in CyberChurch as we explore what it would be like to find the God of the Bible and allow Him to minister through you to your family.

https://youtu.be/2QM7anD5vSI Watch the Movie here. Can we understand God without the Holy Spirit? No! So why do so many churches leave out the Holy Spirit when they talk about knowing God? God is supernatural, we are natural. We have to understand and worship him by the spirit within us. This is not mystical, it is what the Bible teaches. This episode discusses the documentary about Michael Heiser's book the Unseen Realm. Heiser articulates and answers many questions that Christians are afraid to ask about the Bible because they are told not to be too mystical. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/blueskiesandgreenpastures/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/blueskiesandgreenpastures/support
Psalms 107:32-43 — The most important thing about life is not what one does, but who they know. In this sermon on Psalm 107:32–43 titled “The God of the Bible,” Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones preaches about the psalmist confessing that God has the power to both save and to judge. The glorious truth of the gospel is that God has sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save it. Vile sinners are called to flee sin and come to Jesus so that they might be children of God, perfect and holy in Christ Jesus. Knowing Jesus is what saves His people, not their works or deeds. The most important question is whether one knows Jesus. To reject Jesus is to be damned before God in the final day of judgment. Dr. Lloyd-Jones pleads with sinners to forsake their sin and to come to the merciful arms of Jesus. Flee from hatred and strife and come to God who is loving and long suffering, not desiring that any should perish. It is only by believing in Jesus Christ that anyone can be saved and made holy before God.
Episode 100 – offering a $100 prize to anyone who can find a verse in the New Testament where “God” (Theos, Ha Theos) means the Trinity! Difference between a Triad vs. the Trinity James White, The Forgotten Trinity, p. 23: “Within one Being that is God, there exists eternally three coequal and coeternal persons, namely, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit” Athanasian Creed: “Anyone who does not keep it whole and unbroken will doubtless perish eternally… one cannot be saved without believing it firmly and faithfully.” “…we worship one God in trinity and the trinity in unity, neither blending their persons nor dividing their essence. For the person of the Father is a distinct person, the person of the Son is another, and that of the Holy Spirit still another. But the divinity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is one, their glory equal, their majesty coeternal. Quote from Murray Harris book, Jesus as God, explaining that that “God” in the Bible never means the Trinity, never means the Trinitarian God, the Tri-person-one-being of mainstream Christianity. p. 47 footnote Biblical references in this episode: John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his unique (or only begotten) Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Rom 8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the spirit of sonship. When we cry, "Abba! Father!" Gal 4:6 And because you are sons, God has sent the spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, "Abba! Father!" 1 Cor 8:6 “As for us, there is one God, the Father….and one Lord, Jesus Christ…” Eph. 1:17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, 1 Thess. 1:1, 9-10, 3:11, 13, 2 Corinthians 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Hebrews 1:1 Long ago God spoke to our ancestors in many and various ways by the prophets, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed heir of all… To believe that the God of the Bible is a Trinity, one must believe these statements: “In the Bible, God is never the Trinity. But the God of the Bible is a Trinity.” “The God of the Bible is a Trinity, but in the Bible God is never a Trinity” Trinitarians need to write a book “The Trinity as God” in which all 1315 references to God in the New Testament are examined to see which of those references mean the Trinity. It will be a very short book. Who is God in the phrase “Son of God”? Who is God in the phrase “Spirit of God”? Who is God Most High in the phrase “Son of God Most High God”? If the Father is God Most High, then neither the Trinity, nor Jesus, are God Most High. The Trinity is a denigration of the Father, whom Jesus called the only True God and whom Paul says for us there is one God, the Father. If the Trinity is the one God, then the Father is not the one God. The Father and the Trinity can't both be the one God. One of them is an idol. #trinity, #JesusisGod, #murrayharris, #biblicalunitarian, #unitarian, #billschlegel --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/onegodreport-podcast/support
Now that Alicia knew Jesus as Savior, realizing that He was God and bigger than any religious system—He alone was Prophet, King, Intercessor, and High Priest, she decided not to return to BYU. Instead, she left Utah and accepted a job in Winter Garden, Florida managing a Bed and Breakfast and working in two restaurants on the first floor of the Historic Edgewater (www.historicedgewater.com). Alicia was seeking to know a life with Jesus but without the LDS religion in which she was raised. Christ had become everything to her. She shares a scripture that helped her understand the importance of Jesus above all. Matthew 10: 34-39 "Do not think that I have come to bring peace...I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother...Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of Me...whoever loses his life for my sake will find it." Weeks later, future husband, Micah Wilder, was sent home early from his LDS mission for bearing testimony in front of fellow LDS missionaries that Jesus was all he needed for salvation and his salvation was now secure in Him. According to LDS scripture, salvation comes by "obedience to the laws and ordinances of the [LDS] gospel" (Third Article of Faith), not by faith in Christ alone. Micah and Alicia eloped and had a heart for Christian ministry, Alicia ministering to guests in the Bed & Breakfast and Micah bearing his testimony to Christians and nonbelievers through the Adam's Road Ministry. For Alicia, knowing the God of the Bible had changed everything.
