What a great day for the Sequelitis podcast! From our humble origins in pitching a sequel to replace the original Back to the Future II, we now arrive in a future that is presided by the very villain from the film we aimed to erase from collective cinematic history. Listen to us debate the first orders of business from President-elect Tannen and his fortunes-shaping 2015 Sports Almanac. Also, listen to our clever, presidential themed samples. Embrace your doom!
We dig up our minisode from last year where we talked about the at-the-time new series Ash vs Evil Dead and the shambling corpse that is AMC's The Walking Dead. Hear us pitch changes to a series based on a graphic novel and be sure to write to us and tell us what idiots we are at sequelitispodcast@gmail.com. Enjoy!

We watched Star Trek sequels, both old and recent. We don't talk about the latest film, Star Trek: Beyond, because this episode was recorded well before that one had been released. There's some funny moments for sure, and like Star Trek Into Darkness, a whole lot of pot thoughts.
Matt and Manny dissect the new "Ghostbusters" movie. Did Hollywood make the same old mistake of ruining another 80's classic? Did they knock it out of the park? One thing is for sure, Hollywood still has sequelitis.

w/ Special Guests AC Abbott (https://twitter.com/theAC_Abbott) and Ken Kabukuru. On a special post-holidays episode, we sit down with our guests to discussion one of the most polarizing trilogies in modern cinema, the Wachowskis' baffling Matrix sequels: Reloaded & Revolutions. We compare it to the Nintendo 64, ask if young people today have ever heard of modems and question why God would create people with free-will if all he wanted was a loyal fan club. We try to get to the bottom of a very important question: are the Wachowskis hacks?
*SPOILERS* Since the one movie everyone is talking about also happens to be a sequel, we felt it natural to discuss Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. Fortunately, it gave us the opportunity to chat about a GOOD sequel.
In anticipation of the release of the first film in the next trilogy of Star Wars movies, Episode VII: The Force Awakens, we talk about the prequels. While it's easy to discuss the failures of the first 3 episodes, we try to dig deep and create plots that could not only make for more watchable movies, but add to the overall narrative arc of the series. And like every discussion about the prequels, we make sure to lampoon the walking cartoon abomination that was Hayden Christensen's acting performance. Also, listen to hear what we thought about Jar Jar!
No movie better embodies the spirit of Hollywood's sequelitis than Ghostbusters 2. Matt & Manny relive the disappointment nearly every fan of Ghostbusters experienced when watching the sequel in theaters and on VHS, then they pitch an alternative that would have given audiences not 1 but 2 greater Ghostbusters sequels. Imagine a version where the Ghostbusters die at the end of 2, making you wait to see if they come back as themselves or ghosts in the finale of a trilogy. There's some good arguments in this episode as well, so that's a bonus if you're into hearing Matt & Manny fight!
In the inaugural episode of Sequelitis, Matt & Manny pitch an alternative to an entertaining but ultimately disappointing movie, Back to the Future 2. In their version, Doc steps into the wrong 1985, where he and Marty were never friends and his flying DeLorean fell into the wrong hands. With the help of a confused young McFly, Doc has to solve the mystery of how to fix the timeline by going back to the Future, twice!
