Is fear a big issue for you? What are you really afraid of? What is underneath all of the things you shy away from? The answer is pain. We spend a lot of our lives avoiding painful things, and the longer we do, the more it builds up inside of us, creating turmoil in our lives. Things like anger, anxiety, addiction, are all unpleasant byproducts of avoiding the pain we're afraid to experience. Yet if we just felt the pain we were meant to experience, we could begin to heal, become strong, and even move on to be better. Whole again. Home.   If fear is the big thing, then what are we afraid of? Hitting the bottom to heal from the bottom Why “just getting over it” isn't the answer When we turn to addiction to numb out the pain we're avoiding   “Keeping your word has got to include your word to yourself” “I have to matter as much as the people I love” “The more we deny our pain, the more we affirm for ourselves that we are not worthwhile” “What is the pain you're in that the addiction is serving to numb out?”

“You were once wild here. Don't let them tame you.” ― Isadora Duncan   It wasn't that long ago that women couldn't vote. It wasn't long ago that women couldn't have their own credit cards. It wasn't that long ago that prominent women were burned at the stake. Things have improved a great deal, but our history as a society has left us with very few women to look up to. Where are all of our role models? It's time for women to emerge as true leaders. To shrug off the mantle of masculine leadership and birth our own way of doing things. It starts with self compassion. Learn to appreciate who you are, and what your gifts are. Learn to value and find the power in where you've been and what you've experienced. See your life as a spiritual experience, a classroom, and a miracle, then help other women to do the same.   Having compassion for self Embracing our gifts Why we're actually here We need each other, can that be okay?   “We don't have role models, and we need to have this conversation” “We've learned to adapt on subtle levels” “We need to start giving ourselves permission to be who we are” “When the ego loses, everybody wins” “Can we stop pretending that we're supposed to have it all together”

What do you think of the term “Self Love”? It's something we hear so often, and yet it fails to encompass the entirety of appreciating, loving, and caring for yourself. A lot of people misunderstand, or even intentionally misuse the words Self Love to justify behaviours they know they shouldn't be doing, while others shy away from the concept completely. If you truly love yourself, and treat yourself with the kindness, tenderness (and sometimes even firmly) that you deserve in each moment, truly magical things begin to happen within your life, and the lives of those around you. Join SJR this week as she delves into the 3 main pillars associated with properly loving and nurturing yourself.   What is meant when someone refers to your vibration? The difference between guilt and shame Where most people hit a fork in the road, they take the path of resistance and struggle The AAA of self appreciation and love   “Somehow we've learned that to be valuable there must be struggle, to attain it must be hard” “I worry a lot. What's wrong with me? Why do I worry?” “To be aware, where do we need to be?” “We can't change what we don't accept” “Acceptance doesn't mean you have to like it”   Check out the SJR's Mastery Course! https://susanjanerome.com/mastery-for-extraordinary-coaches-therapists-healers-ready-to-rise/

In this episode, SJR speaks about the treasures inside us buried deep under conditioning and culturalization. There is an inherent fear of digging deep, but we must uncover ourselves. Thinking about “the right way” distracts from what your soul is begging you to take note of. Disregard the “should do” or “should be” and deliver what is unique to you. Blame, guilt, and shame have no place here. SJR understands it can be scary to go to these types of depths, but it is necessary for us to create.  SRJ insists that we mustn't compare. We can only believe in what we do and rely on our intuition.   “All treasures are buried.” “You have untold treasures inside you. You have to dig deep.” “Many times I have needed a mentor to hold me by the hand.” “Alignment is so necessary.” “We all have a purpose.” “Your intuition is whispers of your soul.”   Connect with Susan: Susan-Jane's Website Susan-Jane's LinkedIn Profile Susan-Jane's Facebook Profile Susan-Jane on Instagram Susan-Jane on Twitter

In this episode, SJR begins with a compelling story about the 4 minute mile. She talks about our beliefs and their link to human limitations as well as their impact on visualizing possibilities. Susan-Jane shares that it is imperative that we uncover the unconscious beliefs and identities that hold us back from achieving our goals. We are most loyal to our self-identity but are we being honest? What are your limiting beliefs? How can we find out what is limiting us? Look at the results in your life We act in accordance with what we believe Why radical self-honesty is critical “Who am I being?” Why/How our external life is a reflection of who we're being How to achieve the things you desire to manifest in your life Who do you need to be? Be very specific How do you feel when you have what you desire “When I have ‘X' I'll feel ‘Y' Why taking charge of your focus is important and helps you to move forward   “Begin with the end in mind.” “The coach created an image - a visual.” “You can't do anything that you can't see yourself doing.” “You need to step into the next level version of you.” “The big lie is, ‘I'll be happy when . . .' “   Connect with Susan: Susan-Jane's Website Susan-Jane's LinkedIn Profile Susan-Jane's Facebook Profile Susan-Jane on Instagram Susan-Jane on Twitter

In this Episode, Susan explores what is meaningful to us, as women, in this moment? She touches on several key points: Surviving the Trump Era Surviving conditioning that has taught us to comply “Be a good girl” Prioritizing ourselves Editing ourselves Caution Susan shares a story about when she was a little girl. She says she was called geeky for approaching people and asking them to be her friend. She realized: It was incredibly important to her journey that she maintain a certain level of innocence in the world We can become cynical and build walls around ourselves and our hearts We can be conscious and hold sacred the feelings of awe and wonder Good girl encoding is deep in our DNA Even rebellion against this is just a reaction to it Sacrificing our dreams, our needs, not to create waves Listen for Susan's explanation of reconciliation of these things, by showing up and being authentic. Susan says she's always been a visionary leader and she catches herself wanting to downplay her imaginational wisdom. This is because of the training we get as children. Within the male paradigm the world is a hostile place because we are not able to bring femininity and intuition into it.  Susan inspires with her words about a friendly, not hostile, universe that surrounds us and supports us when we're aligned.   “The most important question a person can ask: Is the universe a kind place?” “My intuition is my GPS.” “Everything happens for us.” “Listen to the message that's come out of my mess.” “We are reluctant to put ourselves out there because it doesn't feel safe . . . somehow.” “The word ‘nice' originally meant foolish.” “We are made to carry life.” Susan-Jane's Website Susan-Jane's LinkedIn Profile Susan-Jane's Facebook Profile Susan-Jane on Instagram Susan-Jane on Twitter

In this episode, Susan-Jane touches on the last episode “You can't get there from here.” She begins to talk about the subconscious programming of our minds. The subconscious has stored every event that we have experienced. Scientists studied the subconscious mind and found five brain waves, listed below. Until we are six years old we remain in the Theta stage. Susan-Jane explains this means messages that we received at that young age take root. These often become our limiting beliefs. Alpha waves Delta waves Beta waves Theta waves State of hypnosis Incredibly receptive Impressionable Absorbable sponge No filter Gamma waves The online community is noisy, full of opinions, sales pitches, and information. Being our fully actualized self means we must continue learning and employ rational thoughts. Make the correct decisions regarding pricing and products/services. We believe that the conscious mind will resolve these issues for us. 95% of all decisions are made by the subconscious mind. The motherboard (subconscious mind) is set. What are your beliefs? Look at your current results tells us: Struggling to make money or sign up clients Risk negative thoughts: thinking you are not good enough, your services aren't good enough, your skill set isn't good enough . . . Your subconscious may have a different agenda than what you consciously desire (cognitive dissonance) Subconscious will always win Failure to change those beliefs will fail to change results The Gap Where you are and where you want to be Who you are and who you want to be What you're trying to create and the manifestation of it Fear of success? For women, it is a fear of our power Fear of being alone Fear of change Imposter syndrome or feeling like a fraud  Know where you are so you know where to go! Susan-Jane explains that our belief system or programming is like the water the fish swims in. This is the only way we have been able to see and explain the world. You can't get somewhere by focusing on not being there. What can we do? Susan-Jane gives an example that she is a person who is not good at technology and wants to start a podcast. Her belief that technology is a problem for her will cause anxiety and cautious behavior. This may cause her to hold off doing this because she feels inadequate which will give her the result that feeds back into her result that technology is a problem for her. A feedback loop.  Susan-Jane invites you to think this thought and say aloud: I am clearly on my way to success. The energy behind that thought and verbalizing it lifts us. It gives birth to a powerful though that leads to the result that we're clearly after. The solution is in the challenge. We must careful of the thoughts we have because we can change them and upon making these habits re-create our subconscious mind.   “We can not solve a problem with the same level of consciousness that created it” - Einstein “Because of the subconscious running the show and you not seeing the results that you want, you give that your attention.” “What you think about, you bring about.” “We have been conditioned to believe in scarcity.” “Our brain's number one purpose is to keep us alive. Our evolution taught us from way back in the cave days: fight and flight. Change is danger.” “In pursuit of excellence, not perfection.” “This society has conditioned us to fix the past.” “We don't see the world as it is. We see it as we are.” - Anais Nin   Susan-Jane's Website Susan-Jane's LinkedIn Profile Susan-Jane's Facebook Profile Susan-Jane on Instagram Susan-Jane on Twitter

In this episode, Susan-Jane explains creating a new paradigm. Susan-Jane shares one of her favorite sayings: You can't get there from here. What does she mean? Each of us here looking to make a difference in the world, are here to contribute in our own unique way. Each of us has something to deliver to the world. You may not know what you're here to contribute . . . yet References the book Letters to a Young Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke We need to create space for the answers to reveal themselves We need to leave space for the muse, divine guidance We have to know where we are If you're meeting up for dinner with someone and they ask where you are. The question you ask them, to guide them to you, is, “Where are you.” Let go of the need to impress and taking inventory of exactly where you are Assets, strengths, weaknesses Where do you  give yourself a hard time Where do you get in my way Where do you block yourself Where do you find yourself in flow Where do you feel most empowered What is your truth? She talks about how most of the time with clients when they can see what is getting in their way. They want to know how to get rid of it! We don't get rid of what we disapprove of or what we're judging because we're caught up in a tug of war with those things. (I'm critical of myself. I'm going to stop criticizing myself. But already I'm criticizing myself for criticizing myself.) What you resist persists - acceptance and respect is the answer Honor and respect what has made you, you in this moment. Dignify your process Comment if you're feeling alone or disparaged. SJR wants this community to be a safe haven for women to guide each other. Susan-Jane gives a challenge and its purpose is acceptance of yourself! Where are you? Who are you? What beliefs are governing you? What feelings are habitual to you? What are relationship patterns She explains she was the queen of beating herself up and said to herself, “Susan, if beating yourself up worked, wouldn't you be different by now. You've been doing it for years.” And it caused her pause.   “You can't get there from here.” “The education system is still a spin-off of the whole industrial era.” “The internet has changed everything.” “Learn to love the questions themselves.” “Inherent in the problem is the solution, always.” “I never solved one of my problems through the process of rational thought.” - Albert Einstein “What is my truth, not what society has conditioned, or what we've learned from our parents. The truth of who we are and what we're here to do?” “In acceptance, your energy shifts and that creates an opening for the answers or the solution or the next step to reveal itself.” “If you're feeling out of sorts, alone, frustrated, overwhelmed, even misunderstood or lost I want you to know you are loved and being taken care of. If you feel alone that doesn't mean you are alone.” “I had to learn that feelings aren't facts.” “Embrace your brilliance.”   Susan-Jane's Website Susan-Jane's LinkedIn Profile Susan-Jane's Facebook Profile Susan-Jane on Instagram Susan-Jane on Twitter Susan-Jane's Other Podcast Raw Magic on iTunes Raw Magic on Lisbyn     Buy Letters to a Young Poet More about Rainer Maria Rilke   More about Einstein

SOUL001 Welcome to The New Divine Feminine

Play Episode Listen Later Mar 1, 2019 15:27

Thank you for the invitation into your world. Your life matters and you have a special set of gifts that are essential to the world. Join SRJ as she introduced you to a new concept: We don't need more information. We need a different conversation! She goes on to describe growing up and living in South Africa during the Apartheid era. She discusses a greeting in Zulu, sowabona, that when taken in properly means we acknowledge each other's person and souls. She believes that this greeting holds the key. According to SJR, marketing and selling our businesses can strip us of our dignity. You are a purpose driven woman and perhaps the reason that things have not aligned for you is because you're not living in the most genuine way. We need to stop asking questions we don't want the answers to. Don't ask how someone is doing unless you're truly ready to listen and see that person as a whole being and soul. Rarely do people in conversation say ‘I understand' and mean it. Not often do we ask questions because we're willing to admit we don't understand and we want to. In this space, we acknowledge each other and want to grow closer. This requires us to put aside our own goals and agendas to be fully present when another is speaking . . . so that we can truly see them.  We can become very self-involved and wonder why we are not being heard, seen, or acknowledged. This could be why the response to ‘sowabona' is ‘Ngikhona' which means: I am here. I stand before you with my needs, my dreams, my dreams, my fear, and my love . . . my heart, soul, and story. SJR explains that the Zulu have a philosophy called Ubuntu which translates to I am because we are. They believe that a person is a person because of others. In that context Ngikhona, it holds an amazing appreciation: I did not exist until you saw me. It is imperative that we embody. Remember when we are truly seen there is a love and joy that is unlike anything else. When you are in the spotlight and you can't see anyone else the answer is Ngikhona: I am here. Don't be a noisy person simply boasting. We are the new Devine Feminine: creating a new paradigm together.   “We have all this technology and my heart can chat with your heart.” “At the risk of sounding trite, but I mean it, you matter! Your life matters!” “Your life is in no way and accident or a mistake.” “Each of us is here to contribute in our own indispensable way.” “You are an integral part of our collective unfolding.” “In Zulu, there is a greeting. They say, ‘Sawubona', meaning I see you.” “People listen to respond. They're not listening to understand.” “In the information age, listening is a bit of a dying art. I'm on a mission to bring it back.” “Until you saw me I didn't exist. By recognizing me you brought me into existence.” “When you're in the spotlight, you are blinded by the lights and you can't see anyone else.” “I have an interest in us creating a new paradigm together. Something that is worthy of our legacy.” “I must be a mermaid.
