Losing a loved one or having to go through the real possibility of losing a loved one is one of the most difficult and traumatic things we'll all have to experience in life. But the loss of someone due to Coronavirus is a unique kind of loss. There are so many layers to the loss that makes it far more complex and difficult to go through than "normal" grief. This podcast panel invites our therapists who are both professionally and personally familiar with complex grief and trauma. You're not alone during this time.
Having a front row seat to this world's worst pandemic in over a hundred years takes its toll. With so much going on and so little time to process it all or to take care of yourself, this podcast is dedicated to the healthcare professionals dealing with the worst of it. We've invited our most experienced trauma therapists to help us talk through how to cope and deal in the healthiest ways possible during this time. We can't carry the load that you carry during this time. But we can help to carry you through it.
The reality for many during this period of shelter-in-place is the often forgotten group of singles. While others are struggling with not having enough space from loved ones in their home, this segment of the population struggles with not having any human connection. Listen in as our panel of therapists talks with a guest who is going through this exact experience.
Even though you might be spending a lot more time with your spouse during this Coronavirus Shelter-in-Place season, more time doesn't mean a healthier marriage. In fact, for many couples this period of time might be a much tougher season for their relationship. Listen in as our panel of therapists unpack ways to ensure your marriage stays healthy as you're confined to quarters.
Coronavirus has caused the lines between work, home life, parenting, and schooling to be blurred. With having to do so many things at once, and having them all seemingly collide together, it's likely for many of us to feel as though we're not doing well at any of these things. Learning to handle this new normal requires us to set better boundaries but also to learn how to deal with constant feelings of failure and inadequacy. Listen in to our podcast panel as we discuss managing these new realities of how COVID-19 effects all our lives.
There's so much confusing information out there on what to expect, what's acceptable public health and social practices, and what even to expect. Without knowing what's okay or not, what to expect or not, everyone's anxiety is sure to rise. Which can easily lead to anger and frustration with those around us. This podcast explores how we deal with an ever changing landscape and maintain personal and relational stability through it all.
The entire world is impacted by the Coronavirus, and while there is real death and suffering that happens as a result of it, it's also important not to miss and overlook the smaller losses that happen as well. Whether it's missing out on graduation, not having that dream vacation, or just not being able to hit some goals and milestones you wanted, this podcast unpacks ways to understand these losses and how to deal with them better.
Everyone's lives have been affected and upended in someway by the Coronavirus. Many people forced to work from home and do school with their kids, means we're all trying to do the same level of quality or output with less resources, time and space. But also trying to do it all while sharing those same resources with their spouse and kids. This podcast processes through how to navigate that tension.
One of the most common conflicts happening right now between spouses and family members is how much risk is worth going out for. Whether work, grocery store runs, or just getting outside; many families and couples are experiencing more fights over what's wise and or not right now.
This podcast introduces a new series that invites listeners to ask questions to the podcast panel of therapists. This first episode covers the situation of parents feeling anxiety about needing to provide medical care for their kids but feeling the tension of wanting to also protect them from unnecessary exposure to the coronavirus.
