Today's official title under this series is Surviving and Thriving in Pregnancy. Currently, I am in the fourth trimester of my third pregnancy and I hope to share with you my personal experience of what has allowed me to not merely survive, but to thrive during my seasons of pregnancy. While each pregnancy has been unique, I've concluded that there are three core areas that I've intentionally operated within that have served as the sails that allowed me to stay within flat waters, be redirected around upcoming storms, and even survive amidst the storms that one cannot always control in the sea we call pregnancy. Quite the analogy right? In this episode, I will share what these three core sails are alongside how I've adapted each sail according to the three winds, in other words, the needs of my mind, body, and spirit within the scope of each trimester. Stay tuned as I hope to encourage you as you prepare, enter, or continue in this transformative time in your life. Connect with me! A healthy lifestyle is established in the home. Naturally, our habits are built upon the culture of those whom we live with, may the habits be fruitful or detrimental to our health. While the culture of my home growing up was not perfect, regular meal times, a balanced plate, and desserts at low frequency helped to instill habits that serve my health fruitfully today. Not to mention the value of exercise, beginning as a child and young adult in the form of athletics (organized sport) and continuing with fitness into adulthood. Unfortunately, not every culture was as positive. In addition, as imperfect beings, we may depart from the ways that blessed us. The good news is, as adults, women on the move, whether single, married, or with growing families, we can rebuild, improve, or maintain habits that will serve us a lifetime. Not to mention the generation to follow. Whether you are working on establishing new healthful habits or improving upon them, this must commence by building your house appropriately. Sometimes to best support building your house appropriately to establish and keep healthful habits requires additional outside professional support. Today, I will share for those who are new, who I am and what I provide professionally within the realm of nutrition through Wholly Nurtured Holistic Health & Nutrition Education. Stay tuned. I am excited to share a new message with you today. In today's episode I will share how we can operate in actionable faith in our personal ministries through the story of Esther. While the book of Esther is short and is one of two books in the Bible specifically sharing the story about a woman, Esther, this book is not short in purpose or power. However, this book displays God's sovereignty despite the circumstances we may face and both the positive and detrimental power of human will. It is a story where a God given opportunity was presented and seized by a woman who took delight in the Lord, Esther. To cultivate a Christ centered ministry, we must courageously commit to taking delight in the Lord. What does taking delight in the Lord look like given the story of Esther? How can we hinder the ministry or platform God has entrusted us with? Stay tuned as I share five ways Esther seized her God given opportunity that brought salvation to her people, those who converted to the faith, and to us today. Connect with me! Whether you are working on establishing new healthful habits or improving upon, this must commence by building your house appropriately. Last week I discussed how pantry and exercise staples have served me as I improve my health and maintain my fitness. Today, I will first share the concept of light, liquid, and leafy meal day and how to build a day as such for the purposes of building a lean body. In part 2 through my Youtube channel, I will share one move that significantly supports a lean body, the purpose for a day where light, liquid, and leafy meal templates can be most successful. I've dedicated both my personal life and professional career as a health advocate with greater emphasis in fitness and nutrition. You can trust that what I share will produce as Proverbs 3:8 proclaims, health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Connect with me! For those who do not know, I have the honor and privilege of being a stay at home mama who operates a wellness business alongside my husband from the comfort of my home. In today's episode I will be preparing you for the FUTURE topic of cultivating confidence in your ministry. Not to jump the gun, but to direct our attention appropriately, to cultivate confidence in your ministry, you must cultivate a confidence in your FAITH in Christ first. That is the sole purpose for this preparation episode. I will share three biblical truths to help cultivate confidence in our faith in Christ which will serve to build our ministries on unshakeable ground. This episode will be guided predominately by the book of Luke 10:38-42. Prior to getting to the 1, 2, and 3 I will dive deep into the starking reality of what a crisis of confidence is, the struggle of Christian women in relation to our faith shed in different areas of our lives, and how we can learn and be led by the truth found in the word of God. A wise man will hear and increase in learning. And a man of understanding will acquire wise counsel. -Proverbs 1:5 What is a plant-based diet? Why do people transition to this lifestyle? Is this a healthy lifestyle or a fad? Will this lifestyle break the bank? Is it sustainable long term? These are many of the questions I sought to know professionally as a nutritionist and personally as the health advocate of my home. In today's episode, I share what I learned over two year period, one year of professional study, and another year of personal exploration through application in my own life. Connect with me! Today marks a very special day (May 10, 2021). A day of sorrow and joy, and one I plan to commemorate through this episode. Three years ago on this day I gave birth to my first daughter Judah. Judah graced the earth in utero for 7.5 months, but did not join us outside of utero long term. My pregnancy with her and my family's physical loss allowed me to truly enter my womanhood, specifically motherhood. Today, I will be sharing a word of encouragement that commenced from this experience. The focus will be placed on strength, specifically how I was able to activate my faith by cultivating my strength in the Lord as I departed that season and moved into my second pregnancy alongside being a wife. Christ turned my wailing into dancing, my sorrow into joy. For those who have an ear to hear, stay tuned. Connect with me! Today I have the joy of partnering with my husband as we explore our experiences as parents in the year 2020 with a focus on uncovering our moments of building and plucking. In light of the new school year, I will be diving into what the word says about training children. In addition, I will be sharing my personal testimony in relation to this topic. While I am new to parenting, I know that with the wisdom of the word, the leading and correction from the Holy Spirit, and godly headship, my children will be in good, scratch that, great hands. Today, I am going to share how to live healthfully by prioritizing peace in your daily life. Not to jump the gun, but I will share a simple practice that places value on refreshing, renewing, and nurturing the spirit, mind, and body so that you can operate in excellence with all that God has entrusted you with. In essence, to be wholly nurtured. Let's get started!
In today's episode, I am going to share some practical kitchen tricks and tips to help make your time in the kitchen efficient, easy, and most importantly, enjoyable! Let's get started!
The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down. Proverbs 14:1 NIV In light of the Coronavirus and it's corresponding quarantine, families are required to commune more than before. To my conviction, this is a significant time for intentionality in relationships within the home. As women, we have a significant role to play as we interact more with our husbands, children or roommates. We must choose to build our families/friends up following the word of God, and do our best to not fall prey to our flesh. Operating in the flesh can lead to "social distancing" and distress in the home which creates DIVISION. Therefore, this is a time where we will wrestle against flesh. Thankfully, in this podcast, I will encourage and equip you in this new series to create and sustain UNITY by building your house up. Build Your House part 1 will include four building foundations to get you started!
