Send us a textWe are called to make disciples of all nations, but when it comes to our children, how does that apply and what does that even look like? This insightful podcast series with guests Michelle Stathopoulos and Sarina Young helps us think through the process of helping our children walk with the Lord and develop Christlikeness. While they would tell you they are not perfect and are still growing in this area, their comments are so helpful for parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and even Sunday School teachers. An episode from East River Baptist Church, a conservative, independent body of King James Bible believers located on the Northeast side of Houston, Texas. East River Baptist Church's (ERBC) mission as an assembly is threefold:- To Exalt the Saviour! Eph. 3:21- To Edify the Saints! Eph. 4:16- To Evangelize the Sinners! Lk 24:47 What ERBC believes about the Scriptures: “We believe that the scriptures of both Old and New Testament are verbally inspired of God, that they are the supreme and final authority for faith and practice, and are preserved in the Authorized Version (KJV 1611) of the Bible. 2 Timothy 3:16. Psalm 12:6-7." What ERBC believes about God: “We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. That God is supreme in His person, absolute in His attributes, glorious in His perfection, and eternal in His being. 1 John 5:7." What ERBC believes about Jesus: “We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ. His conception by the Holy Spirit, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His death on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, His bodily resurrection, His exaltation at God's right hand, and His personal imminent, pre-millennial, and pre-tribulation return. Ephesians 1:7. ” What ERBC believes about man: “We believe that God created man in His image and likeness (a triune being: spirit, soul, and body) in a state of innocence's, but through temptation, he willingly transgressed, became dead in trespasses and sins. As a result, his posterity (all men) inherited a corrupt nature, are born in sin, and are under condemnation. Romans 5:12.” A message from ERBC to you:“If you are looking for a church in the Houston Texas area that preaches the Truth from God's Word, reach out to us at any time. An episode from THE BIBLE Baptist Church, a Bible believing, Bible preaching church in DeLand, Florida. What THE BIBLE Baptist Church (TBBC) Believes:“A church is not a social organization or a club. It is a gathering of men and women who have put their faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. These people meet together to worship the Lord, to praise Him, to encourage one another to live lives pleasing to the Savior and to be instructed in the truths of the Holy Bible. It is also a place from which these believers go forth, individually and in groups, to spread the gospel of Christ Jesus to men and women the world over. The extent to which the blessing of the Lord abides upon a church and the effectiveness of a church in the aforementioned areas depends upon its understanding of and obedience to the words of God. There are certainly clearly stated truths found in scripture to which all believers must steadfastly adhere. A collection of individuals, each living in accord with their opinions or religious notions, can accomplish little for Christ. A gathering of men and women who have a like-minded faith in a foundational set of Biblical truths can do great things for the Lord.Below are those truths upon which we have built THE BIBLE Baptist Church.Should you have other questions please feel free to ask. Our people and leaders are available and more than happy to let you know what we do and why. It is our hope and prayer that the Lord will direct you to become a vital part of the gospel work which He has given us to do.”You may write to THE BIBLE Baptist Church at:872 Glenwood Rd.DeLand, FL 32720Have A Blessed Day, THE BBLE Baptist Church The KJV Bible Preaching Churches Podcast is directly supported by Doss Metrics LLC | Ministry Services based out of Cleveland Texas. In today's episode, we're talking about raising children with biblical discipline and building a budget that honors God. From training young hearts to managing your money wisely, we'll share practical tips grounded in Scripture to help your family grow in faith and stewardship.
Today, we're discussing the recent controversy surrounding Shiloh Hendrix, who called a black child a racial slur at a playground instead of taking the concern to the child's parents. This behavior is not only unacceptable—it's unchristian. As followers of Christ, we are called to be above reproach (1 Timothy 3:2), especially when dealing with the next generation. God will not judge us by our skin color, so why are we so quick to judge others by theirs? We can simultaneously be aware of the statistics about certain cultures within particular races, and realize that this is not how we handle those problems. We'll explore the biblical approach to conflict resolution. When there's a problem with a child's behavior, the godly route is to speak directly with their parents—not to attack the child. Christians must hold one another accountable. --https://policecoffee.com/collections/coffee
Children are natural hypocrisy hunters—they see through pretense and recognize what is real. The Bible warns strongly against hypocrisy because it is fake, and nothing damages a child's faith more than seeing their parents say one thing but live another. In this final part of the Biblical Child Training series, I challenge parents, especially fathers, to lead by example. Your children will learn how to love, worship, and walk with God primarily by watching you. How you honour the Lord, love your wife, and instruct your children will shape their understanding of faith and family. If you want to raise godly children, start by being a godly example.
The Bible commands fathers to bring up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, and children are instructed to obey their parents in the Lord—a commandment that comes with the promise of a long life.In this video, I discuss the second essential thing every child needs: structure and discipline. Without clear boundaries and loving correction, children grow up feeling lost and unprepared for life. Discipline isn't about harshness; it's about teaching, guiding, and shaping them according to God's Word.If you missed Part 1 on providing security and love, be sure to check it out. And stay tuned for Part 3, where I'll talk about the importance of guidance and being a role model.Watch now and learn how biblical discipline leads to strong, godly children who walk in truth!
The foundation of biblical child training is a battle for the heart of your child. Before discipline, instruction, or correction, they need to know they are unconditionally loved and secure in your care. This begins even before birth—within the womb—where a child first experiences the safety and warmth of a loving home. One of the greatest ways to cultivate this security is by prioritizing your marriage. A strong, loving relationship between mom and dad provides the rich soil in which a child's heart can grow, knowing that their world is stable and full of love. In this episode, we explore how to establish this foundation and why it is the key to raising children who thrive.

The 9/4/22 message by Elder Gowens considers Hebrews 12:4-17. Divine chastening does not always mean correction for sinful conduct or attitudes. In fact, the word padeia (the basis of our word "pediatrics") refers to child-training and child-development. The believer needs the big-picture perspective of the Father's child-training program when facing the trials of life. God works to sanctify His children so that they might develop in holiness. This is message #47 in the Hebrews study.
