Reclaiming Parental Authority

Becky Kennedy and Sheryl Zielger are both psychologists who are raising teenagers themselves. I discovered their names in an article they had written for CNBC's online site. The article's title caught my eye: “If you want to raise stronger, more independent kids, give them this: They need it now more than ever say psychologists.” Kennedy and Ziegler cit how many parents today are so filled with the fear of doing something wrong, that they try not to push too hard or enforce too many rules, assuming that doing so might push their kids into stress, anxiety, and a host of other mental health issues. But the two tell us that this is NOT what our kids need. Rather, what our kids need is for us to boldy claim – and in some cases reclaim – our parental authority. They say that now more than ever need us to offer up a safe system, a structure where we are in control. As Christian parents, we know from reading Scripture that this is our responsibility. But are we exercising our God-given authority?

Ever wondered why Solomon's work seems to vanish from history?  In this interview, Jeff talks to Dr. Christian Widener, a former engineer turned biblical researcher, who challenges everything we know about the Temple Mount. He argues that the evidence for Solomon's building prowess is overlooked. With nearly 150,000 men working tirelessly, how can we not find traces of such monumental labor?  As Christian digs deeper, he reveals that the narrative we've been taught doesn't hold up against the facts.  Sometimes, it takes fresh eyes to see the truth buried beneath centuries of tradition.  Dr. Widener is a former university professor, researcher, and entrepreneur, who was called to Christian ministry in 2020. His first book was The Temple Revealed, followed by Witnessing the End, and Finding Solomon. Christian also has a substantial presence on YouTube. His work has come out of almost two decades of personal research into end times prophecy and biblical archaeology, and the ministry is focused on bringing this new evidence to light and explaining why believers need to get ready for the Lord's soon return. You can learn more about Christian Widener and His work here! Broadcasts – Christian Working Woman

The studies and articles aren't new. In fact, the first workplace gender research started in the 1960s and 1970s. Men and Women in the Corporation by Rosabeth Moss Kanter was considered one of the first academic studies on gender differences in work behavior and opportunity, and this was in 1977. This conversation is as old as me, but I would like to remind you that women at work is not a construct of the early world wars and industrial revolutions as you may have been taught. Women and men working together started with creation in Genesis 1. Men and women were created to work together. In Genesis 1:26-27, we see the beautiful work of unity in creation. Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and every other creeping thing that creeps on the earth.' So, God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. When we read the verses about creating man, he created both male and female in his own image. Not men exalted above women or women above men, but creation in his image, in unity. If we don't look to the beginning, it is easy to look at the ways that culture and society have created norms about work. The reality is these are not God's norms for men and women. The next verses in Genesis 1: 28-29 further frame God's plans for man and woman: And God blessed them. And God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.' God gave man and woman an equal command to work in unity. You already know that once sin crept in, this unity was forever broken. Sin impacts this sacred creation in every way, and our cultural norms which have been forming since the 70s continue to impact how men and women work together. What does this sin look like within the context of work? What is causing the continued gender bias issues for women? The answer doesn't start with work; it really begins outside of the office and is part of the cultural and societal brokenness between men and women that has systematically and year after year found its way into our work. With my aim being unity between men and women as advocates to solve this issue, I wondered, who were the leading male voices for gender equality at work. One name that came up was Tony Porter. Tony is the founder and CEO of A Call to Men. He seeks to teach systemic change for between men and women in society. In an article published on his website, “Is your Organization Unintentionally Reinforcing Gender Bias at Work,” Tony states this, “…the workplace is a microcosm of society—a society where men and boys are collectively socialized to view women as objects, as property and as having less value than men.”[1] This blanket statement is not felt by all women, of course, but as a whole, it sums up that sin and the brokenness of not seeing men and women created equally in the image of God is at the root of the issues still facing women today. Fortunately and unfortunately, the Bible is full of cultural examples of both unity and brokenness between men and women. If we look at the Word of God, we will all struggle to understand some of the terrible injustices women faced including being taken by force into marriage, raped, and being cast out of society. Again, at the moment of the fall, the unity and sacred relationship between men and women fell, and it fell hard. But, for every hard-to-read passage of Scripture about injustices for women, there are beautiful examples of how God used women and work for the glory of his kingdom. Women played an important role in the formation of the early church where they not only served the disciples with hospitality but also provided money for the ministry and teaching of the good news to their families. The grandmother and mother of the disciple, Timothy, are mentioned by Paul. 2 Timothy 1:5 reads, I am reminded of your sincere faith which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded, now lives in you also. Today we live in a culture not so different than biblical times. Women around the world still face terrible injustices, not only at work, but in society. Harassment, gender pay gaps, interviews and promotion biases all still exist, but there are people trying to drive change. Another name that came up as an advocate for women at work is the former CEO of Unilever, Paul Polman. He spoke about visiting a tea plantation where female workers were being abused or sexually harassed. When policies failed, he put female supervisors in place so that the women no longer needed to go to an unsafe work environment. This was within the last 5 years. What are some of the more nuanced impacts women face at work? In a Forbes Women article from May 15, 2025, by Eva Epker the continued gaps between men and women at work are highlighted. With parenting and caregiving still being a primary responsibility of the mother, a study found that three years after childbirth, 90% of fathers were in full-time work, versus only 27.8% of new moms. Another study noted 41% of female participants experience discrimination in a hiring process including gender-biased and inappropriate questions. Mental health and the lack of mentorship opportunities for women, continue to be part of this conversation.[2] These examples remind me of some data from the 2023 McKinsey study on “Women in the Workplace” that discussed the large impact microaggressions can have on women at work.[3] Microaggressions are defined as demeaning or dismissing comments or actions rooted in bias, directed at a person because of their gender, race, or other aspects of their identity. Women experience these more than men. For example, a woman is two times more likely to be interrupted in a meeting and spoken over than a male counterpart. We keep having the same conversations, and the results of the studies improve but not in a significant enough way to truly make change. One of my observations is that both secular and faith-based organizations often take a one-gender approach to gender biases. More specifically, women are talking to women about the lasting issues and implications about gender bias at work, and men are rarely part of this conversation. Working women, and more narrowly, Christian working women aren't having the conversations needed to redeem this sacred unity at work, and they aren't having them at church either. I have been to women's leadership conferences, both secular and faith based, and at only one was there a focus on women in the workplace where men were part of the discussion and workshops. This was a faith-based conference. I was able to find one opinion article in Time from July 18, 2023, titled “Modern Gender Equality Must Include Men.” The lead heading “Gender equality can only happen when women and men are advancing toward that goal together.”[4] Shelley Zalis conducted online research about men's attitudes and the results showed that 53% of men believe that workplaces in the US should be doing more to eliminate bias in the workplace. I agree that we need unity between men and women that lead to solutions. As Christian leaders, how do we work on this unity while at the same time navigate the current brokenness in the workplace for women, Christian or not? First, we need to remember we are called to address the issues of the poor and oppressed; we should not turn a blind eye to this matter. Isaiah 58:6-7 exhorts: Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? Are you hiding yourself by simply being unaware? We are called to care. What are some of the ways we can continue this conversation? Perhaps shining a light on the benefits of women at work can be a start. Companies with gender-diverse leadership show an increase in average revenue. The McKinsey study notes that companies in the top quartile for gender diversity on their executive teams are 25 percent more likely to have above average profitability. Women have always been wise, and, as Christian leaders, we should tell these Bible stories about the working women God used for his kingdom. Perhaps these examples can inspire and show God's plans for women and work to others. And we can see how women and men worked together through their examples. Deborah was a judge and a leader. She worked in unity with Barak to go into war for Israel (Judges 4 & 5). Miriam was a leader of worship and worked in unity with Moses and Aaron to lead the people of Israel during the Exodus (Exodus 15). The Proverbs 31 woman embodies a long list of attributes that benefit her husband including: rising while it is still night to provide for her family, investing wisely, dressing well, being confident in her merchandise, caring for the poor, and being strong and wise. Mary was the first to see the resurrected Jesus and bring word to the male disciples (John 20). Lydia, in Acts chapter 16, was a seller of purple cloth and worked in unity with Paul to help the early church. This is not an exhaustive list! Women have always worked, and they have done so alongside men. I know most of you may not be in a place to share these examples of Bible stories as inspiration at work, but you can start this change within Christian spaces. Men and women can lead by sharing these examples of unity in God's plan with other Christians. We need to start having more conversations about how God used men and women in our faith-based spaces. We can explore these issues together to find ways to lean into and lead the change in our workplaces. Even if we cannot share the stories, we can share facts, and choose to engage: First, pay attention to the data and actually care about the data! All these studies include a what can we do about it section, and the advice centers around providing women resources to engage with including development, mentoring, counseling for stress, benefits that support caregiving, and more. Next, think about how you may be contributing to this issue as a man or a woman. Are you engaging in behavior that may be considered microaggression? Did you know that simply commenting on what another woman is wearing to work can impact her? Or assuming a female colleague's mental state or home situation? If we are honest, as women, we have absolutely contributed to our own issues with gender equality at work simply by tearing each other down. Most importantly, lead with love! As a believer in Jesus Christ, we are called to love our neighbors, and an easy love checklist is found in the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5: Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Both women and men can act on this! For the women, engage in a conversation with men about this topic. For men, engage in a conversation with a woman on this topic. Let's lead by the biblical examples of unity! — [1] Kay, M. (2020, August 17). Is Your Organization Unintentionally Reinforcing Gender Bias at Work? When was the last time your marriage felt deeply connected instead of simply functional? Maybe lately your marriage feels more like roommates than soulmates. You're coordinating schedules, managing responsibilities, handling the kids, building businesses, and falling into bed exhausted at the end of the day. You still love each other, but somewhere along the way, the connection started fading into routine. In today's conversation, I'm joined by my friend Lindsey Maestas for a deeply honest discussion about the quiet disconnection so many couples experience but rarely talk about. This isn't a typical episode for this show, but I truly believe this conversation matters. As Christian entrepreneurs, it can be easy to slowly fall into self-focused thinking without even realizing it. Thoughts like “What about my happiness?” or “What about my needs?” can quietly replace the posture of “What would Jesus have me do?” And over time, those small hidden habits can slowly create distance in a marriage. The truth is, so many couples are struggling silently. From the outside, everything looks fine, but internally, there's emotional distance, exhaustion, resentment, or simply feeling unseen. We sweep it under the rug because we assume this is just what marriage becomes after enough years, responsibilities, and busy seasons. But Lindsey shares why that “quiet disconnection” matters so much and how couples can begin finding their way back to each other before the distance grows even deeper. Lindsey shares wisdom from her book, Don't Burn Your Own House Down: Prioritizing Your Marriage, Your Spouse, and Yourself for a Deeper Connection, along with practical and biblical encouragement for restoring connection in a healthy, God-centered way. Friend, I believe healthy and fruitful marriages are possible. God cares deeply about the health of your home just as much as the success of your business. If your marriage has felt distant lately, I pray this conversation encourages you with grace, honesty, hope, and practical next steps toward deeper connection. I pray this blesses you! If you've ever felt guilty for prioritizing your own health, this episode is for you. As Christian women, many of us were raised with the quiet belief that selflessness means self-neglect. We pour into our families, our patients, our communities — and we run on empty. But what if Scripture actually makes a strong case for taking care of yourself? What if the Proverbs 31 woman has been modeling holistic health all along and we've just been missing it? This episode is for the Christian woman who is exhausted, overlooked, and quietly falling apart while holding everyone else together. If you're a caregiver, nurse, mom, or ministry leader who has put herself last for far too long — this one is for you. --- THE PROVERBS 31 WOMAN WAS NOT WHO YOU THINK SHE WAS Many of us grew up with a narrow picture of this woman — quietly keeping house, sacrificing everything, never asking for anything in return. But a closer look at the Hebrew text tells a very different story. She was an entrepreneur. A real estate investor. A business owner who worked intentionally and strategically. And yes — she took care of herself. • Verse 17 tells us she dressed herself with strength and made her arms strong. She stewarded her physical body. • Verse 22 says she made fine coverings for herself and wore linen and purple — fabrics reserved for royalty and the wealthy elite in the ancient world. She kept something for herself, and she wore her flourishing without apology. • Verse 25 says strength and dignity were her clothing, and she laughed at the days to come. That's not naivety — that's the settled peace of a woman who has done the work. She was not a martyr. She was a prepared, thriving, God-fearing woman who understood that caring for herself was part of caring for her calling. --- GOD DELIGHTS IN YOUR WELFARE — NOT JUST EVERYONE ELSE'S Psalm 37:4 says God delights in the welfare of His servants. Not just your patients. Not just your children. You. If you are His, He is not indifferent to your health, your rest, your joy, or your flourishing. The fruit of your labor is meant to be something you also enjoy — not just something you hand off to everyone around you. This is not a prosperity gospel message. It's a stewardship message. You are the vessel. And a depleted vessel cannot carry much. --- JESUS MODELED BOUNDARIES — AND SO CAN YOU Even Jesus didn't heal everyone in every town every day. He retreated. He rested. He sought His Father. He knew who He was called to serve, when, and how. That framework matters for you too. Not every good thing is your thing. Not every need is your assignment. As it says in 1 Corinthians, we are all one body — each with a specific function. You are not the whole body. You are one part, with a specific gift, a specific calling, and a limited amount of time and energy to steward. When you say yes to everything, someone somewhere is missing the version of you that God actually appointed for them. --- WHEN BUSYNESS BECOMES A HEALTH ISSUE From a holistic health perspective, chronic overextension is not just a spiritual problem — it's a physical one. Boundaries are not just emotionally healthy. They are biologically necessary. Chronic fatigue, autoimmune flares, hormonal imbalance, and burnout are often the body's way of saying what the mouth has been too afraid to say: this is too much. If you haven't read Boundaries or Boundaries in Marriage by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend, those are worth your time. --- TIMESTAMPED HIGHLIGHTS 0:00 — What Proverbs 31 actually says about self-care and why most of us missed it 0:58 — She made her arms strong, she wore purple: unpacking the Hebrew meaning 2:21 — The caregiving trap: why high-capacity women neglect themselves most 4:45 — Psalm 37:4 and what it means that God delights in your welfare 5:15 — How Jesus modeled boundaries, rest, and intentional service 7:37 — Why not every good thing is your assignment 9:04 — How overextension connects directly to physical illness 10:32 — The invitation: what it looks like to take your next step toward healing --- KEY TAKEAWAYS • The Proverbs 31 woman stewarded her body, enjoyed the fruit of her labor, and wore her flourishing without shame. That is a biblical model worth following. • God cares about your welfare — not just the people you care for. • Jesus himself modeled intentional limits on his service. You are not called to do everything for everyone. • Chronic illness and fatigue can be the body signaling that boundaries are overdue. • Seek God's wisdom specifically — who to serve, when, and how. Not every good thing is your assignment. • You are one part of the body of Christ. Function in your part well, and trust God with the rest. This episode is educational and faith-based in nature and is not intended as medical advice or diagnosis. --- READY TO STOP RUNNING ON EMPTY? https://www.uncommen.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/April-24th.mp3 Quick Answers What are biblical boundaries? Biblical boundaries are the spiritual, emotional, and physical guardrails God has established to protect us from the destructive nature of sin. They are not arbitrary rules designed to ruin our fun; rather, they are loving parameters set by our Creator to keep our lives, marriages, and minds aligned with His purpose. Without biblical boundaries, we naturally drift toward chaos, isolation, and spiritual apathy. Why are biblical boundaries so important in marriage? When a man gets married, the dynamic of his life completely shifts. Establishing biblical boundaries in marriage often revolves around the concept of leaving and cleaving. This means a man must prioritize his wife and his new immediate family above the expectations, traditions, and demands of his extended family. Guardrails must be placed around the marriage to protect it from outside interference, financial stress, and emotional division. How do biblical boundaries help men overcome habitual sin? Sin is rarely an accidental stumble; it is usually the result of repeatedly walking down a poorly guarded path. Establishing biblical boundaries requires a man to look honestly at his mental habits, his schedule, and his relationships, and place firm walls between himself and temptation. It requires bringing other Christian men into the fight to enforce those boundaries through radical vulnerability and accountability. The Chaos of Removing the Guardrails Imagine for a moment what would happen if a city decided to remove every single speed limit sign, traffic light, and painted line from its roads. The logic might be that people are generally good and should be trusted to govern themselves. How long do you think it would take before that city descended into absolute chaos? How long before people started careening off bridge embankments, blowing through intersections, and causing massive, catastrophic pile-ups? It wouldn't take decades; it would take hours. Human beings simply do not operate well without parameters. When left entirely to our own devices, our natural inclination is to push the limits until something shatters. This is exactly why we desperately need biblical boundaries in our everyday lives. As Christian men, we often mistakenly view God's commandments as restrictive burdens. We look at the parameters He has set for our conduct, our relationships, and our thoughts, and we feel like our freedom is being stifled. But the reality is that God's rules are the painted lines on the highway of life. They are the reinforced steel guardrails on the edge of the mountain pass. When God tells us to flee from sexual immorality, to guard our hearts, or to prioritize our wives, He is not trying to hold us back from experiencing life. He is trying to keep us from driving our lives off a spiritual cliff. Implementing firm biblical boundaries is the greatest defensive strategy a man can employ against the enemy. The Historical Proof: The Book of Judges If you want to see a terrifying historical case study of what happens when a society completely abandons biblical boundaries, you only need to read the Old Testament book of Judges. The recurring theme of Judges is both frustrating and profoundly relatable. Over and over again, the Israelites would find themselves oppressed by an enemy. They would cry out to God in desperation, and God, in His infinite mercy, would raise up a judge—a leader to deliver them and point them back toward righteous living. For a brief period, while that leader was alive, the people would respect the biblical boundaries set before them. They would worship God, tear down their false idols, and experience a season of peace and prosperity. But the moment that judge passed away, the guardrails completely vanished. The people would immediately revert back to their old, sinful habits. They would begin worshipping the foreign gods of the Canaanites, engaging in corrupt practices, and willingly surrendering the freedom they had just fought so hard to regain. The final verse of the book of Judges perfectly summarizes the tragedy of a life without guardrails: “In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes.” When a man decides to do what is right in his own eyes, he is actively declaring war on God's design. We read the stories of the Israelites and arrogantly wonder how they could be so foolish and stiff-necked. Yet, we do the exact same thing today. We experience the grace and deliverance of Jesus Christ, but instead of allowing Him to be the constant, ruling King over our lives, we slowly start removing the biblical boundaries. We start justifying a little bit of anger. We start making excuses for a little bit of lust. We start compromising our integrity at work because “everyone else is doing it.” Before we know it, we are right back in the chains of captivity, wondering how we ended up so far away from the Lord. Protecting Your Marriage: The Art of Leaving and Cleaving One of the most critical places where Christian men fail to establish proper guardrails is within their own homes. When you stand at the altar and make a covenant with your wife before God, an incredibly profound shift occurs in your family tree. Ephesians 5 lays out the ultimate framework for this transition, echoing the original design from Genesis: “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” This process of leaving and cleaving is where the rubber meets the road when it comes to relational biblical boundaries. For many men, the concept of leaving their parents is incredibly difficult, especially when extended families are tight-knit. But leaving doesn't mean you stop loving or honoring your parents; it means your primary allegiance has fundamentally shifted. Your wife is now your immediate family. Your parents, siblings, and childhood friends are now your extended family. If you do not actively enforce biblical boundaries to protect that new dynamic, outside pressures will quickly create massive fractures in your marriage. Consider what happens when a young couple has their first child. Almost immediately, the pressure mounts. Both sets of grandparents want the baby at their house for Thanksgiving. They want to dictate how the child should be raised, what church the family should attend, and how holidays should be celebrated. If a husband lacks the courage to establish firm biblical boundaries, he will allow his extended family to run roughshod over his wife's feelings and desires. A man who truly understands leaving and cleaving will step up, take the heat, and kindly but firmly tell his extended family, “We love you, but this is how our home is going to operate.” You must be willing to defend the perimeter of your marriage at all costs. Breaking the Ruts: Biblical Boundaries for the Mind While external relationships require strong fences, the most dangerous battles we fight are often entirely internal. The human brain is an incredibly complex organ, and it is uniquely designed to build habits. When we think a specific thought or engage in a specific action repeatedly, our brain actually carves out neural pathways to make that thought or action easier to perform in the future. Think of it like driving a heavy truck down a muddy dirt road. The more times you drive down that exact same path, the deeper the ruts become. Eventually, the ruts get so deep that you can take your hands completely off the steering wheel, and the truck will just keep following the grooves in the mud. This is exactly how cyclical sin operates in a man's life. When we repeatedly engage in pornography, give in to explosive anger, or rely on alcohol to numb our stress, we are digging massive ruts in our minds. When times get tough, our brains automatically steer us right back into those destructive grooves. We try to rely on sheer willpower to climb out, but willpower alone is never enough to overcome deeply ingrained neural pathways. To break free, you have to establish aggressive biblical boundaries in your mind. You have to intentionally start driving your mind down a new, difficult, unpaved path. This means filling your mind with Scripture when you feel anxious, rather than turning to a screen. It means setting absolute, non-negotiable boundaries on what you allow your eyes to see and what you allow your ears to hear. Over time, as you force yourself to follow these new, godly pathways, the old, sinful ruts will slowly begin to fill in with dirt. But it requires the discipline to maintain those biblical boundaries long enough for the new habits to take root. The Ultimate Guardrail: Brotherhood and Vulnerability The tragic reality of modern masculinity is that men are profoundly isolated. The enemy's greatest tactic is to convince a man that his struggles are entirely unique and that if anyone else knew the truth about his failures, he would be instantly rejected. We believe the lie that our friends would look at us differently, so we build a massive, impenetrable facade. We put on a suit, we go to church, we shake hands, and we pretend that everything is perfectly fine while we are secretly drowning in our own private sins. You can listen to fifty audiobooks a year on leadership, self-help, and theology, but if you do not have radical vulnerability with other Christian men, you will never experience true freedom. You cannot establish lasting biblical boundaries in a vacuum. You need brothers who have permission to look you in the eye and ask you the hard, uncomfortable questions. You need men who are not impressed by your resume or your income, but who care deeply about the state of your soul. When a man finally drops his pride and says, “I am struggling, and I cannot fix this on my own,” an amazing thing happens....

In this episode of Wisdom's Table, I am thrilled to dive into a topic that is often overlooked in the realms of entrepreneurship and business coaching: the spiritual weight of building a business as a follower of Jesus. As Christian entrepreneurs, we often find ourselves grappling with the heaviness that can accompany the very opportunities we prayed for and believed were part of our calling. But what if that weight is not a sign of something going wrong, but rather a part of the process of expansion? Throughout my years of coaching, I have observed that Christian entrepreneurs typically navigate through a series of phases as God grows their leadership and businesses. I call this framework the Seven Phases of Supernatural Success. In this episode, I will walk you through each of these phases, helping you understand what it means to partner your life and business with God, and ultimately, how to become a Supernatural CEO. If you've been doing the “right” things for your health—eating better, exercising, trying supplements—but you still feel tired or off, there may be a reason no one has talked about. Many women assume that if they simply find the right diet, supplement, or health protocol, their symptoms will disappear. But real health is rarely that simple. In this episode, we explore why chronic fatigue and persistent health struggles are often connected to far more than nutrition or exercise. As Christian women pursuing wellness, it's important to look at the full picture—our habits, stress levels, relationships, schedules, and spiritual lives. If you've been trying to improve your health but still feel stuck, this conversation may help you step back and see your situation with greater clarity and peace. This episode is especially for Christian women who want to better understand their bodies, establish healthy habits, and pursue a faith-centered approach to healing. Why Nutrition Alone Doesn't Always Solve Chronic Fatigue Many women searching for answers to fatigue or autoimmune symptoms assume that the key lies in finding the perfect diet. Nutrition absolutely matters. Eating foods in their most natural form—closer to the way God designed them—is a wise foundation for health. But many women discover something surprising along the way: even after improving their diet, symptoms like fatigue, inflammation, or low energy can still linger. That's because physical health is influenced by far more than food alone. When we focus exclusively on nutrition, supplements, and exercise, we may overlook other factors that are quietly draining our energy. The Hidden Role of Stress Modern life brings a level of stress that many women underestimate. Financial pressure, strained marriages, difficult work environments, and packed schedules can quietly keep the body in a constant stress response. When the body remains in this state for long periods of time, it becomes much harder to experience steady energy and healing. Common stressors that impact health include: • Ongoing financial pressure • Relationship tension or marital struggles • Career dissatisfaction or burnout • Overloaded schedules • Emotional strain and unresolved conflict Even when nutrition is strong, these stressors can continue affecting energy levels, sleep, hormones, and overall wellbeing. Mindset, Gratitude, and the Trap of Victim Mentality Another factor that often goes unaddressed in health conversations is mindset. In difficult seasons, it's easy to fall into a pattern of focusing on everything that feels unfair, discouraging, or out of our control. While it's healthy to express difficult emotions, Scripture calls us to a posture that also includes gratitude, prayer, and trust in God. Maintaining this perspective doesn't mean ignoring hardship. It means refusing to stay trapped in a mindset that assumes nothing will change. The Bible reminds us that life comes in seasons—and difficult seasons do not last forever. How Your Daily Habits and Schedule Affect Your Energy Our daily habits often have a greater impact on health than we realize. Many women today are living with constant distractions. Phones, social media, streaming content, and endless notifications compete for attention throughout the day. These distractions don't just consume time. They also influence stress levels, focus, and mental clarity. It can be helpful to occasionally pause and ask: • How much time am I spending on screens each day? • What information am I constantly feeding my mind? • Am I leaving space to hear God's guidance? • Are my daily habits supporting peace or creating more stress? Even small adjustments to our daily rhythms can create more space for rest, reflection, and healthier habits. Who Is Shaping Your Worldview? Social Media or Scripture Today, many people unknowingly allow their beliefs and perspectives to be shaped by what they see online. Algorithms feed us more of whatever we engage with most—politics, controversy, fear-based news, or negative commentary. Over time, this constant stream of information can shape how we see the world and how we feel emotionally. As Christians, it's wise to ask whether our worldview is being shaped more by our social media feeds or by the Word of God. Filling our minds with what is good, true, and uplifting can help bring greater peace and clarity to both life and health decisions. Why Christian Wellness Requires a Whole-Person Perspective True Christian wellness considers the entire person—body, mind, and spirit. Physical habits like nutrition and exercise are important, but they are only one piece of the puzzle. Other areas that may influence chronic fatigue or low energy include: • Stress and emotional wellbeing • The strength of key relationships • Financial pressure • Career alignment and job stress • Daily habits and time management • Screen use and mental input • Spiritual connection and trust in God When women begin looking at these areas honestly, they often gain new insight into what might actually be draining their energy. Time-Stamped Highlights 00:00 — Why doing the “right” things for health doesn't always eliminate symptoms 01:00 — The myth that health problems are only physical 02:30 — Personal experience navigating confusion in the natural health world 03:45 — How stress and trust in God can influence health 06:00 — Why focusing only on nutrition and supplements can miss the bigger picture 08:00 — The impact of packed schedules and daily distractions 09:30 — How social media and news influence our mindset 11:00 — Why our worldview should be shaped by Scripture instead of algorithms 12:00 — The non-physical factors that often influence chronic fatigue 13:00 — Why gaining perspective can sometimes be the missing piece Key Takeaways • Chronic fatigue and lingering symptoms are often influenced by more than diet or supplements. • Stress from relationships, finances, work, and daily pressures can significantly affect energy levels. • Modern distractions—especially constant screen use and social media—can increase stress and reduce mental clarity. • Maintaining a faith-centered perspective helps bring peace and wisdom when navigating health challenges. • Looking honestly at habits, schedules, and stressors can reveal hidden contributors to fatigue. • Sometimes the most helpful step isn't more health information—it's gaining clarity about what truly needs attention. Next Step If You're Feeling Stuck If you've been trying to improve your health but still feel tired, overwhelmed, or unsure what's actually draining your energy, sometimes the missing piece isn't another protocol—it's clear perspective. In a one-on-one More Energy & Peace Session, we spend time looking at your situation as a whole—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—so you can better understand what may be contributing to your fatigue and what your next wise step might be. In this conversation, we're talking about what it means to lead with confidence even when you don't feel qualified. In this episode, you'll be reminded that your leadership calling is rooted in God's purpose, not your performance. We'll walk through powerful biblical truths that help you overcome feelings of inadequacy, silence imposter syndrome, and step into intentional, faith-filled leadership. In this episode, we cover: Why you are God's handiwork, created for good works He prepared in advance (Ephesians 2:10) How God's grace is sufficient and His power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9) What it means to be called and chosen by God, not because of your merits but His purpose (2 Timothy 1:9, 1 Peter 2:9) Why true competence and ability come from God, not self-confidence alone (2 Corinthians 3:5–6) How shifting your focus from yourself to Christ brings peace and clarity (Isaiah 26:3) Why God values growth over perfection in your leadership journey (Philippians 1:6) How to take your thoughts captive and replace lies with biblical truth when imposter syndrome shows up If you feel called to more but keep second-guessing yourself, this episode will help you stop shrinking back and start leading with confidence—rooted in truth, anchored in Scripture, and aligned with God's plan. Gold and silver just posted their biggest gains since 1979—but according to Christian Briggs, the party is just getting started. In this powerful first-of-the-year episode of On The Record, Briggs—CEO of Hard Asset Management—unpacks the forces behind the historic 2025 metals rally and why silver may soon outshine gold in both price and strategic importance. With silver up over 150% and gold rising more than 60%, investors are wondering: can this momentum last? Christian says yes—and backs it with facts. He reveals how central banks around the world are aggressively backstopping their currencies with gold, quietly ushering in a new monetary era that threatens to leave the U.S. dollar behind. China, Russia, and the BRICS nations are already working on a gold-backed digital currency, slated to debut in the next 12–18 months. It's a direct attack on dollar hegemony—and it's working. But silver is the real story of 2026. As Christian explains, global silver supply is about 1 billion ounces per year, but projected demand for technology alone will exceed 1.5 billion ounces, driven by AI data centers, solar, EVs, semiconductors, and explosive demand in electric infrastructure. Elon Musk's warning on China's control of the silver supply chain only added rocket fuel to the price action. And with 3–4 ounces needed in every EV, the world is facing a looming silver crunch that could dwarf past squeezes. It's not just gold and silver making headlines. The platinum group metals (PGMs)—platinum and palladium—are emerging as the backbone of the coming nuclear energy revival, with China building hundreds of new reactors and President Trump fast-tracking U.S. nuclear permits. According to Briggs, platinum demand is about to go vertical, and early investors are positioning now.Briggs also highlights a massive surge in retail demand for hard assets, noting that Hard Asset Management has seen its busiest 18 months in four decades. From seasoned investors to first-timers, people are waking up to the risks of inflation, CBDCs, and fiat erosion—and they're turning to metals for safety, yield, and sovereignty. If you want to know where the smart money is going in 2026—this episode tells you everything you need to know.

Fifty years ago there was little or no knowledge among teenagers about eating disorders like anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. In today's image-obsessed and social-media saturated world, the great majority of our kids not only stress over their appearance, but many are struggling with body dysmorphia, which is defined as a mental health condition in which you can't stop thinking about one or more perceived defects or flaws in your appearance. New data from a study of thirty-nine-thousand adolescents ages fourteen to eighteen reports that the dominant factor raising the risk of self-harm, including suicide, is one's perception regarding their weight. Our kids are being hammered by a constant diet of marketing images and social media posts which leave them feeling inadequate and less than. As Christian parents, we must affirm their standing as loved divine-image bearers, emphasizing the fact that God looks on the inside, not the outside. Our identity is not to be found in appearance.

It's the early '90s in Stockton, CA, when Christian is caught sleepwalking in the kitchen by his family--the beginning of a curse unleashed by an aunt. To save Christian and the family from the curse, the family seeks out a curandero who promises salvation, but at a price Christian wishes he didn't have to pay. As Christian grows up the curse follows him. His father emotionally and physically torments him, his mother's health spirals, his relationship with his brother deteriorates; nothing goes his way. Christian finds solace in a group of friends, bonded together by the sufferings that plague their community. As the childhood chaos of ripping and running in order to survive breaks way to an adolescence beyond his local neighborhood and a lifeline in the form of writing, Christian must decide: be consumed and enact the same violence that has plagued him, or break the cycle, once and for all. All this week we're looking at some of the latest data from the Pew Research Center on how parents of children ages twelve and under are managing the realities of life in a smartphone saturated world. Researchers found that about one in four parents of kids ages birth to twelve have a smartphone of their own. Did you hear that? We're not talking kids who have access to someone else's smartphone, but kids who have a smartphone of their own! Of course, we would expect but not applaud the fact that well over half of our eleven and twelve year olds would have a phone of their own. And the numbers diminish as the ages get younger. But twenty nine percent of eight to ten year olds, twelve percent of five to seven year olds, and eight percent of children under five have their own smartphone. As Christian parents, we need to question the practice of putting a device that's addictive, distracting, and full of roadways into unbiblical worldviews into the hands of our impressionable kids.

New Hope Daily SOAP - Daily Devotional Bible Reading

Daily Dose of Hope October 30, 2025 Scripture - John 13:1-17 Prayer: Almighty God, we start by pausing before you. Help us set aside the distractions of the morning or the day and focus on you. In these next few moments of silence, help us gather our scattered thoughts and think only of you...Help us be still and know you are God. God, we rejoice that we can freely read your Word and we are grateful that you speak to us through it. It's truly a miracle. Holy Spirit, we also invite you to join us as we seek to grow deeper in relationship with you. In Your Name, Amen. Welcome back, friends, to the Daily Dose of Hope, the devotional and podcast that complements the New Hope Church daily Bible reading plan. We are currently working our way through the Gospels and Acts. Can you believe we have already done a deep dive through Mark, Matthew, Luke, and we are half way through John? I would love to hear about your big takeaways thus far from the Gospels? What is Jesus teaching you? Today, we begin John 13. This is familiar and beautiful Scripture. The time for the Passover meal has come, the disciples are sitting and reclining at the table, and Jesus himself gets up to wash their feet. This might not sound that odd to us but foot-washing was a lowly task in 1st century Palestine. Think about it: their feet were very dirty; the men wore sandals, they walked everywhere, and the roads were filthy with dirt, dust, and animal droppings. Thus, this was the job usually saved for the lowliest of servants. Peers did not wash each others' feet. In Luke's Gospel, the disciples actually start arguing about is the greatest among them; their attitudes certainly indicated that they weren't going to stoop so low as to wash each others' feet. In today's Scripture, when Jesus gets up to wash the disciples' feet, the disciples are shocked. How could he? Of course, Jesus always has something deeper in mind. Jesus is a perfect example of humility and selflessness, which will ultimately be demonstrated in its most extreme form on the cross. This Sunday at New Hope, we will be talking about Christian leadership. This passage is such a powerful picture of the way God intends Christian leadership to be: Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; 4 so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. 5 After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples' feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him. (v.3-5) Jesus knew who he was. He understood his relationship with God, so he was free to serve others without worrying about what people thought of him. And, you know, that goes for us too. As Christian leaders, we can do the most lowly task or the most amazing task. Nothing is too high and nothing is beneath us when we are serving other people. I know you have probably met Christian leaders and pastors who have been arrogant jerks and I'm apologizing for them right now. That wasn't the way God intended this job to be. We are chief servants. All of us as Christian leaders, in the church, at our job, at our hobbies, in our homes, we are all to be chief servants, doing our best to imitate the servant leadership style of Jesus. We serve others --- we serve our spouses, we serve our friends, we serve our employees, we serve our neighbors. That doesn't show weakness, it shows strength. Our identity is found in our relationship with Jesus Christ, not in our role or our job. And when we start to get that mixed up, that's when we will get in real trouble. More tomorrow. Blessings, Pastor Vicki

Christian Parent, Crazy World
Experiencing Miracles—Does God Still Move Like He Did in the Bible? (w/ Clifton Payne Jr. )

Can God still move mountains, heal the sick, and intervene in dramatic, supernatural ways—or are miracles a thing of the past? Does the power of our prayers invite God’s hand, or is it all predetermined? In this unforgettable episode, Catherine sits down with Clifton Payne Jr.—author, pastor, and someone who has personally witnessed the miraculous—to tackle these timely and crucial questions for every Christian parent. Together, they explore: Real-Life Miracles: Clifton shares a stunning testimony of praying over his wife’s dearest friend—a woman with a terminal brain tumor who, against all odds, survived life-threatening surgery and then, during a moment of crisis, experienced an instantaneous healing as they cried out to God. “Not in my name nor authority, but in the authority of Jesus of Nazareth—I command these fluids to be gone.” Instantly, her lungs, ravaged by stomach acids, were clear. “I didn’t feel anything except a sense of anger at the injustice—but the miracle happened.” When Miracles Don’t Come: Even after this incredible event, Clifton and his family faced sorrow as their friend soon passed away. Together, Catherine and Clifton wrestle with what it means when God doesn’t answer as we hope. The Role of Prayer: Drawing on scripture and personal experience, they discuss how prayer isn’t just a ritual—it’s a gateway for God’s will on earth. Clifton notes, “Jesus gave us a model prayer: ‘on earth as it is in heaven.’ Is there any sickness in heaven? No. Poverty? No. So I can always pray against those things.” Catherine urges parents, “It won’t be my lack of faith or prayer that prevents God from doing the miracle. I’m going to pray for healing, and for His will to come.” God’s Not a Formula—He’s a Relationship You’ll be challenged by the reminder that miracles aren’t the result of a spiritual formula or magic words. Cliff and Catherine emphasize that God leads and acts through relationship, not rote ritual. “Always write your theology in pencil,” Cliff was taught. We’re called to listen, trust, and obey—even when the outcome isn’t what we’d have chosen. Seeking rules and protocols miss the point: “It’s all about being in tune with the Spirit, walking closely with God, and learning to hear His voice.” Prayers and “Coincidences”: Clifton quotes Canon J. John: “When we pray, coincidences happen. When we don’t, they don’t.” The episode emphasizes that partnering with God in prayer is far more than wishful thinking—it’s joining Him in His ongoing work. Standout Quotes: “God doesn’t always write the story the way you would.” “When we pray, coincidences happen. When we don’t, they don’t.” As Christian parents, the question isn’t just does God still perform miracles?—but are we inviting Him into our lives and our children’s future through faith-filled prayer? Can your children witness the wonder of God—not just hear about it? About the guest:Clifton H. Payne Jr., author of What the Bible Really Says About Tithing and Giving: It’s Different than You Think, is a former pastor, Bible student, and eye-witness to miraculous moves of God, whose journey from church hurt to New Age, and back to vibrant faith, is a testimony every parent should hear. Tune in for encouragement, challenge, and hope—discover how faith (and prayer) can unlock God’s intervention in the crazy world we parent in. Discussion prompt for parents:What miraculous answers to prayer—big or small—have you witnessed or experienced? How can you model faith-filled prayer to your children, trusting that God still listens and acts, even when the outcome isn’t what you expected? Character and integrity aren't just learned, they're taught, and all our children have to do is listen and observe how we parent them and live our daily lives to know what those values look like. As Christian parents, we not only need to teach our children about character and integrity, but we also want them to understand how these two values connect to the bigger picture of Christianity and their role in it. If character and integrity are something you personally struggle with or struggle to teach your kids, don't worry. Every day is a new day and in today's episode, I share verses on what God has to say about these values and discuss how we can exhibit and teach them to our children as we as parents strive to become more like Jesus in our own lives. I was once held hostage by a dragonfly. This is very embarrassing, but it is true. I was just a little guy and my cousin and I were sitting on these swings in her backyard. I believed everything she said. And a dragonfly started to circle us on the swings. He was a big old guy - at least he looked big compared to the size I was then. And then he landed on the swing, and my cousin said to me, "You know, if they get mad at you they'll drill a hole through you." I took one look at him and he kind of dived back and forth and started to dive bomb us. I started imagining him boring a hole in me, and it seemed reasonable. So I was frozen to the swing. I must have been there for a half hour... maybe an hour, I don't know. I didn't move until the crazy dragonfly left. Did I mention this is embarrassing? Well, today I know a dragonfly is nothing to fear, but my cousin that day made me afraid of something that I didn't need to be afraid of. That might be happening at your house. I'm Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have A Word With You today about "Paralyzed Parents." Our word for today from the Word of God is from 2 Timothy 1:7. "For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power and of love and of self-discipline." This is a great verse for parents isn't it? Parents especially who are raising children in a very pagan, out-of-control world like ours. In fact, earlier in this chapter Paul talks about Timothy's Mother, Eunice, and how her faith was passed on to her son. She had an unbelieving husband, the Bible tells us, she was raising Timothy in a lost culture, and yet she turned out a son who was a great spiritual leader. Now, one of the keys is in this seventh verse, "don't parent out of fear." You know, I'm a Dad of three kids that grew up in this kind of a world, and I know that we tend to look at a world where lies are taught as truth and where wrong is promoted as the right thing to do, and where sex outside of marriage is expected. That's the kind of world we're living in no doubt about it. Sin is boasted about. Our tendency is to grab our child and run to a cave with him or her and try to keep that child from ever rubbing shoulders with that nasty world. Do you know what we're communicating? We're saying, "You know, that darkness out there is really big and strong, and I'm not sure Jesus is strong enough to compete with it." We're giving the Devil and we're giving the darkness a lot of credit when we teach our children to be afraid of it. Yes, we need to teach them to live in a dark world, but not to be afraid of it. We serve a Christ who blew the doors off of death. We serve a Jesus to whom demons surrender. Let's not hide from the darkness. He empowers His children to change the darkness. Many days our kids came home from school with words they heard or ideas or questions. And, well, we found that those are the moments to seize, not to freeze. We can say to our kids, "You know, I'm glad that came up. Let me show you how much better Jesus' idea is." See, Jesus called us to be salt and light, and they have to be in contact with something if they're going to change it. Right? But we forfeit a whole generation if our kids withdraw from the people who've never touched Jesus. They're not sacrificial lambs. They're people who can make a difference and raise their kids on the two words I raised ours on: GO MAD! Go make a difference! You need to change things. Don't let them change you. You are their hope of another way to be. I sat on a swing one day as a boy, paralyzed by something I didn't need to fear. As Christian parents let's not do that or cause our children to do it. Teach them the dangers of a lost world for sure; expose the darkness. And then outfit them with a strong version of Jesus who doesn't run from the darkness. He challenges the darkness.

This is more than a tribute to Charlie Kirk. It's a conversation about how his message of courage and conviction can inspire us as Christian coaches, counselors, and ministry leaders. This is today's topic. Welcome to the Christian Coaching School podcast. I'm your host, Dr. Leelo Bush. I'm a master coach, author, curriculum creator, and the number one authority on Spirit-led Christian coaching. I've trained tens of thousands worldwide since 2003. And if you are ready to uplevel your skills, find greater fulfillment, and employ the most powerful coaching available to mankind—let's go. Welcome, friends. I'm Dr. Leelo Bush, your host. I pioneered Spirit-led Christian life coaching more than 20 years ago and wrote the first comprehensive Christian coaching handbook, now in its second edition. Through my academies and training programs, I have helped believers around the world discover how to coach and counsel with the wisdom of Scripture, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and the tools of transformation that change lives. I'm honored to have you with me today. Charlie poured his heart into building a movement to save America. He believed in young people. He believed in ordinary Americans. And he believed that even in our darkest hours, America was the beacon of goodness, freedom, and truth. And he gave his life for that. Our task now is not only to protect what he built, but to grow it bigger, stronger, and bolder than anyone ever thought possible. And look around you—it's happening. God took his one voice, and when the enemy came against him, multiplied it thousands and thousands of times greater. As a first-generation American and daughter of parents who fled communism, faith, freedom, and opportunity are hallmarks to everything I do and believe in. Charlie lived his life with boldness. He was unafraid to step into the public square and declare what he believed to be true. His motto, as his family shared, was “Never surrender.” He knew what it meant to take the heat, to endure criticism, and to keep going. Whether or not we agreed with him on every point, there was no denying that he embodied a spirit of courage that calls all of us higher. He leaves behind a legacy of boldness and impact, reminding us that one life lived with conviction can awaken a generation. For me, his life echoes the same conviction that God placed in my heart years ago when He called me to pioneer Christian life coaching. I remember when the idea of Spirit-led coaching was new, even unrecognized. And when it emerged, there was opposition from the old guard who thought coaching this way was too spiritual, too radical. There was no roadmap but the one God gave me. Yes, He gave me the vision, and I wrote the first Spirit-led Christian coaching textbook so that believers everywhere could have a biblical, Spirit-filled foundation for helping others. Since then, thousands have been trained, certified, and sent into the world as coaches and counselors who carry Christ's love and transformation to countless lives. That work continues today through many programs: Christian life coaching, Christian counseling, grief coaching, stress relief coaching, wellness, and so much more. These are all branches of the same tree that God planted in me. At the conclusion of this episode, I encourage you to visit the Academy. I know you have many options when it comes to training, and yes, you can invest far more or far less than our tuition. But here's the truth: you won't find training of greater value anywhere, at any price. Why am I so confident? Since I pioneered Spirit-led Christian coaching in 2003 and literally wrote the book on it, we have never stopped refining, improving, and aligning our programs with the unchanging, infallible Word of God. The results speak for themselves. Our students' lives are transformed, and through them God's power ripples outward, impacting families, communities, and nations for His glory. This is why so many of our graduates return again and again for more training. They know what we offer simply cannot be found anywhere else. In addition, we are honored to provide financial support opportunities, including tuition assistance for veterans and the Kingdom Impact Scholarship Program. Remember: God calls us to be evenly yoked in our relationships, in business, and even more importantly, in who we choose to learn from. Select your training with the same discernment you would use to choose your church. It's that important. Visit PCCCA.org/courses. While you're there, explore our programs. Pray for guidance, and when you're ready, enroll with confidence knowing you have found the right place. Your calling to impact lives is too important to wait. And when I reflect on Charlie Kirk's “Never Surrender” message, I see a bridge between his example and what we are called to do in coaching and counseling. He showed what it looks like to stand firm in public life. We are called to help people stand firm in their personal lives in the face of grief, loss, confusion, or pressure to compromise their values. Our role is to give clients the tools to find their courage, to clarify their convictions, and to live in a way that builds a legacy for Christ. So let's make this practical. One tool you can use is something I call the Conviction Clarifier. Invite your client or group to write down three values they will not surrender no matter what. Ask them: if your life were on display, what would you want people to see about you? Then help them define behaviors that show those values and identify what it would look like to compromise them. When they put those convictions into clear words, it becomes a compass for their life. Another tool is what I call the Grief-to-Purpose Mapping. All of us have experienced loss. Instead of letting grief silence us, we can let it fuel us. Ask your client: what did you lose, and what did you gain in strength or insight because of it? Then challenge them to map one concrete action that channels that new strength into serving others—maybe it's writing a book, starting a group, or simply encouraging someone who is hurting. In this way, grief becomes the soil for new growth. You can also practice what I call the Courage Role Play. Create a scenario where your client feels pressured to back down or stay silent. Play the role of that pressure. Then let them practice standing firm calmly and respectfully. Afterwards, debrief what felt strong and what felt shaky. This helps them prepare to live out their convictions in real life with grace and confidence. And then one of my favorite exercises is the Legacy Letter. Invite your client to imagine writing a letter to a future grandchild, describing the kind of life they lived and the values they stood for. This draws their focus away from the stress of today and helps them live in a way that their future self and future generations will admire. Scripture reinforces every one of these tools. Joshua 1:9 tells us, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Second Timothy 1:7 says, “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.” And Hebrews 12 reminds us to run with perseverance, fixing our eyes on Jesus, who endured opposition so that we would not grow weary. Those words anchor us as we encourage others to never surrender. So the question is: who do we need to become? If our lives were held up as examples the way Charlie Kirk's is now, what would people see? Would they see courage or compromise? Would they see faith or fear? Would they see a legacy that points to Christ, or a life that's simply drifting along? As Christian coaches, counselors, and leaders, we are called to embody courageous conviction, spiritual authenticity, resilience, rest, and legacy-minded living. That means we must walk the talk, so that when people look at us, they don't just hear words—they see a life that demonstrates what is possible in Christ. So here's my challenge to you: define one conviction you will never surrender. Write it down. Share it with someone you trust. And then live it out this week in a tangible way. Help your clients and groups do the same. Teach them to clarify their convictions, to transform grief into purpose, to practice courage, and to think about the legacy they will leave. As we close, let's return once more to Charlie's words: “If you believe in something, you need to have the courage to fight for those ideas, not run away from them, or try and silence them.” Let's take that to heart, not only in the public arena, but in the private battles of life—in the moments of grief, and in the coaching sessions where we help others rise to their calling. Let's pray. Lord, we thank You for examples of courage that stir us to live more boldly. Teach us to never surrender to fear or compromise, but to stand firm in truth, to comfort those who mourn, and to raise up leaders who will impact the world for Your glory. May our lives be legacies that point to Christ. In Jesus' name, Amen. Until next time, remember this: never surrender to fear, never surrender to grief, and never surrender your calling. Live with conviction, coach with courage, and leave a legacy that will echo for generations.
