My name is Benjamin D. James IV. I was born in Washington D.C. My father, Benjamin D. James III, was sick with ALS and passed away when I was 2 years old. Moved to Atlanta, Ga shortly after. It was high school, where I learned my passion for music. I Joined the high school marching band, where I played the drums, and even taught myself the keyboard being around all those musicians. After graduating H.S. I enlisted in the United States Air Force. My job was maintain and fix F 15's. Shortly after the Air Force, I enrolled at Savannah State University. It was there I found my love for poetry and spoken word. I joined the poetry organization, “word or waiver of discovery”. I was elected president and I began hosting/promoting open mics on campus. Later on I cofounded the group A.M.I. (Affiliated Money Inc) We quickly became a local hit in the Savannah Community. In the future we would open up for entertainment acts such as Chester French gym class heroes Pastor Troy, Lyft Jennings, and Hurricane Chris, just to name a few. After the group disbanded I became the part owner of a recording studio. Currently I am in Atlanta finishing a my first poetry book. His name is Artormiss. He has been in the event industry for at least 20 years now. All aspects of the industry. From being a security guard at concerts. To being a janitor at an event spot. To being a manager, cook, server, promoter, etc. He is 1/2 of a group called Rwehuman. The group consists of himself and Indica Jahli. They started off as a musical group. And they still are. He noticed that their music wasn't being heard as much as it should be, so for about a year he studied branding and marketing. He found a way to be heard. He started throwing his own shows. Which has always been something that he wanted to do. A dream of his. That led him to the ARTORMISS PRIME SHOW! Which is a variety/talent show. Comedians, dancers, singers, magicians, etc. this event is what he calls “my baby”. Something that he is extremely proud of. Every other Wednesday, he get to listen to the up-and-coming artist perform their hearts out and possibly teach them things that he has learned in this industry that can help them in the future. He also throw about three weekly events and partner up with Atl art crew monthly for some of the best art shows in Atlanta. As an artist he knows how it feels to not be heard. To look for guidance and not find it. As soon as he started these events, he kept that in mind. His goal is to help artists have a voice.
