I've been making a deal about doing the basic work that is needed to move my life forward. I already talked about this in the last episode, "Nailing Down the Basics" but I wanted to dive into it on a different level - showing up and giving it to the Lord. Man, this was SUCH a blessing to record. I've come to find out that doing the basics super well is really sufficient for most things. When we are able to do well at the basics it opens the door for future developments and opportunities. When we try to do too much at times that can really throw us off.I talked about showing up for the things that really move the needle of life forward, instead of getting caught up in a bunch of things just for the hype. This one surely hit home for me as there are times where I want to just move things along quickly and I sacrifice doing the basics and I lose clarity/momentum. What I've figured out is that preparation is key to success in a chosen endeavor. When you really break it down we are always preparing for the next thing. In pursuit of new opportunities in my life I have found that one day at a time will always be enough.
