For one hour on stage, I only have one problem in my life. What if you could find something that does that for you? Show Notes In this episode of Shark Theory, Baylor answers a question he was asked after a recent keynote: What is it like on your side of the stage? Public speaking is often labeled as the number one fear in the world. But Baylor challenges the idea that fear is universal. Many fears are borrowed. Many limitations come from opinions, polls, or statistics that never actually included you. Instead of asking whether something is scary, ask whether you're looking at it through the right lens. One of the fastest ways to overcome fear is immersion. When Baylor trains for extreme endurance events, he surrounds himself with people who love the grind. The workout doesn't get easier, but the perspective changes. Passion shifts perception. When you're around people who love something, you begin to see it as opportunity instead of threat. On stage, Baylor explains that the real gift isn't applause or ego. It's focus. For that hour, he has one job: make the audience's time worth it. Everything else fades. No distractions. No noise. Just one problem to solve. That clarity is peace. He challenges listeners to find the activity in their own life where everything else disappears. The thing that pulls you into the moment so fully that your world narrows down to one objective. Finally, Baylor reflects on the art of reading the room. Adjusting. Expanding when people lean in. Pulling back when they drift. Creating rhythm. It's not about performing at people. It's about connecting with them. The deeper message: everyone has a story. Everyone has something that could impact someone else. The question isn't whether you're capable. It's whether you're willing to step into it. What You'll Learn in This Episode Why many fears are borrowed from others How immersion shifts perception The power of narrowing your focus to one problem Why passion eliminates distraction How connection creates impact Why your story matters more than you think Featured Quote "When you find the thing that makes everything else fade away, you've found your lane."

What if the greatest battle you're facing right now isn't your circumstances… but what you're believing? From the Garden of Eden until today, the enemy has used the same strategy—casting doubt on God's Word. "Did God really say…?" In this powerful episode, Rob Skinner unpacks the explosive truth of Hebrews 6:18: "It is impossible for God to lie." Not unlikely. Not rare. Impossible. The NFL is officially in its "No Snitching" era. Today on The BLS Podcast, we're breaking down the league's massive grievance win over the NFLPA that effectively bans those viral player report cards from being made public. Is it about "sound methodology," or are owners just tired of being exposed for their subpar facilities?Plus, the Cowboys have apparently traded in the "Good Ol' Boys" club for a batch of new-hires with an average age of 35.3. Richard Sherman reacts to the Seattle Seahawks’ Super Bowl LX victory over the New England Patriots, breaking down how Mike Macdonald’s detailed game plan and a dominant defensive performance led by Devon Witherspoon, Byron Murphy, Derek Hall and the secondary controlled the game from start to finish. Sherm explains why Seattle attacked the Patriots’ offensive line, how Kenneth Walker set the offensive tone, and why Sam Darnold’s mistake-free postseason and clutch throws completed his redemption from “bust” to champion. He also discusses Drake Maye’s struggles under pressure, Christian Gonzalez’s standout coverage, and whether this young Seahawks roster is built to become the NFL’s next dynasty. No big changes—but does that hide the biggest shifts? Budget 2026 surprised few with bold moves, yet its quiet continuity may reshape how India's investors and taxpayers think about stability. In this episode of The Morning Brief, host Kayezad E Adajania, editor, ET Wealth, speaks to Homi Mistry, Partner, Deloitte India, and Aashish P. Somaiyaa, ED & CEO, WhiteOak Capital Asset Management, to unpack what an unchanged tax landscape truly signals. The discussion navigates the old versus new tax regime's evolving future, untouched capital gains structures and their impact on India's global competitiveness, and a new amnesty scheme encouraging disclosure of undeclared foreign assets. From a strategic pivot toward semiconductors, AI, and data centers to revised sovereign gold bond rules and rising STT concerns, the episode examines whether Budget 2026's stability is genuinely reassuring—or simply a pause before inevitable change as India braces for an uncertain global economic landscape.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
On this episode of The LA Food Podcast, we're doing a little bit of everything — industry analysis, hot takes, and a long, thoughtful sit-down with two people quietly shaping what neighborhood dining looks like in Los Angeles right now.In Part 1, Father Sal joins Luca to break down the 2026 James Beard Award semifinalists. LA had a massive showing this year, but how does it stack up against past years — and which semifinalists actually have a real shot at winning? We dig into the numbers, the narratives, and what Beard recognition really means in 2026. In Chef's Kiss / Big Miss, we cover Noma selling out in three minutes (and then making bagels), Bill Addison taking the gloves off, Firstborn LA going all-in on prix fixe, and a handful of LA chefs landing on one of the year's most anticipated culinary TV shows. In Part 2, Luca sits down with Adam Weisblatt, Co-Founder and Partner of Last Word Hospitality, and DK Kolender, Chef and Partner of Hermon's, one of LA's most talked-about new neighborhood restaurants. We start with Hermon's — the vision, the food, the drinks, and why it already feels like it's been here forever — before zooming out to talk about Last Word's broader strategy behind Found Oyster, Queen's, Barra Santos, and more. Adam and DK share hard-earned perspective on building restaurants people actually return to, thriving as a restaurant group in today's LA, and how they think about growth, praise, and sustainability. We close with reflections on Last Word Hospitality's recent James Beard Outstanding Restaurateur nomination and what success looks like moving forward.Powered by Acquired Taste

In this episode, I talk about why silence is not empty and never passive. Silence is communication, and when you use it with intention, it becomes one of the strongest signals of presence you have. I explain how not talking too much and containing your energy actually puts you in a power position. Silence can shift the whole dynamic and reveal truths without you saying a word. When you understand this, you stop filling space and start leading it. Show Notes: [01:58]#1 Silence creates contrast. [05:57]#2 Silences establish self control. [09:40]#3 Silence creates pressure that works in your favor. [13:57] Recap Episodes Mentioned: 1025: The Opportunity Is In The Opposites Next Steps: --- Power Presence is not taught. It is enforced. Do you know that unbelief actually makes us mute in the spirit
Have you ever joined a sisterhood, mentorship, or spiritual empowerment group that promised deep connection—but over time, you started feeling more lost, more muted, and more disconnected from your real life?In this episode of The Illuminated Woman, I'm sharing a vulnerable look at how so many modern feminine empowerment circles masquerade as community but lead women into spiritual isolation and identity erosion. Rooted in Proverbs 18:1, I explore how these programs lure us in with language like “safe space,” “authenticity,” and “alignment,” yet often result in silence, sameness, and separation from truth.I share my personal experience of slowly losing my voice in these circles - adopting the group's vocabulary, dressing like the other women, even wearing the same symbolic necklace - all while believing I was finding my true self. But once I stepped out, I felt ungrounded, uncertain, and untethered. This episode is a wake-up call for the woman who has been craving real connection, but looking for it in the wrong places. It's for the one who knows something feels off, but hasn't had the words for it—until now. What You'll Hear in This Episode:Why Proverbs 18:1 is a powerful warning about isolation disguised as empowermentHow many women unknowingly give away their voice inside so-called sisterhood circlesThe Stepford Wives effect: why everyone starts sounding, dressing, and thinking the sameWhy these groups lead to spiritual and relational isolation—even from family and friendsWhat Biblical sisterhood actually looks like, and how it sharpens instead of silencesMy personal story of how I felt shaky and lost after leaving these groupsA prayer and reflection for reclaiming your God-given voice and communitySome journal questions to help you if you've been in - or are still in - these spacesIf this episode speaks to your journey—especially if you're recovering from false sisterhoods, New Age spaces, or performance-based spirituality—you're not alone. You're not too far gone. And you can rebuild, voice by voice, step by step, in the truth of God's Word. The Illuminated Connection Call is a free conversation where we talk heart to heart—no pressure, no agenda. I'd love to hear what's on your heart, where you are in your life and spiritual journey, and what you're sensing God may be stirring in you. Whether you're just beginning to question the New Age path, exploring Biblical truth, are already living a God-led life, or simply feeling lost and unsure—this space is for you. When someone you love is in pain—but can’t say the words out loud—what can you do? Kate speaks with beloved Canadian novelist Miriam Toews (All My Puny Sorrows, Women Talking, A Truce That Is Not Peace) about the silences that shape us: the kind that settle into families, into churches, into whole communities where mental illness is unnamed and suffering goes unspoken. Together, they talk about the long shadow of religious shame, the courage it takes to tell the truth, and what it means to stay present with people we can’t fix. This conversation is tender, fierce, and unflinchingly honest. This episode includes discussion of suicide at the beginning and end of the episode. If you're struggling, you can call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. SHOW NOTES: 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline — Call or text 988 if you or someone you love is struggling.
