Chance and Katie Butts of LifeQuest USA visit with Jim Williams about their ministry’s focus on mentoring young people to help break the chains of generational incarceration. Chance as a young man is the perfect example of how a person can experience freedom in Christ from sin and habits that are more often than not, passed down from generation to generation. The success of the ministry is limited only by the number of volunteer mentors they can train to encourage young people that need to “disrupt their current way of thinking” according to Katie. Volunteer mentors help support Bible studies, GED Tutoring, character development, recovery groups, the 4:13 Journey, and other special events. Chance said, “Mentors invest in young people to form life long friendships with the young people they work with. Detailed information about LifeQuest USA is available at https://www.lifequestusa.org.
