The 5th and final show in our 2025 Summer Vacation in Branson Series welcomes the Coopers, Clay and Tina. Clay and Tina are the dynamic duo behind Branson's beloved variety show, Clay Cooper's Country Express. Clay, a native of Wylie, Texas, began his musical journey at the age of 14, performing at the Wylie Opry. He moved to Branson in 1986 to join the Texas Gold Minors and has since performed in numerous shows, including Country Tonite, where he spent nine years as lead vocalist and emcee. Tina Cooper began dancing at the age of three at her mom's studio in the garage of their home. Tina continued her training through high school and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Music Theatre from the University of Oklahoma. She has been seen on several Branson stages performing in shows including Country Tonite, Celebrate America, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Dino's Christmas Spectacular, Red Hot and Blue! Tina met Clay when working at Country Tonite and they married in 1999. In 2005, Clay and Tina launched their own show, which has become a staple of Branson entertainment.

In 2026, the United States will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This year, cities, states, and the federal government are hard at work planning how they will celebrate. Granite Staters deserve to be proud of their revolutionary history; New Hampshire was the first of the 13 colonies to declare independence from England, six months before the signing of the Declaration of Independence. One proposal before the New Hampshire Legislature would give drivers the chance to participate in next year's festivities by purchasing a special, commemorative license plate for America's 250th.  Listen as hosts Anna Brown and Mike Dunbar, of Citizens Count break it down in  $100 Plus Mileage. The U.S. is going through a turbulent period early in President Trump's second term, with a shaky stock market, new tariffspushing up prices, federal job cuts and tough immigrationcrackdowns. These developments have fueled discussions about whether Trump's 2024 voters remain supportive or are reconsidering their choice amid the instability. According to an April 2025 Reuters/Ipsos poll, Trump's approval rating dropped to its lowest point since his return to the White House, with 42% of respondents approving of Trump's performance, a slight decline from 43% in a the same poll three weeks prior, and a more significant drop from 47% in the hours following his Jan. 20 inauguration. However, Trump's most loyal followers are very much sticking with him. But ask anyone born under a dictator or totalitarian regime and they quickly remind of us of the blessings of liberty, since they once lived without it.  To help remind us of this blessing of freedom, we are honored to have Ambassador Aldona Woś.  Polish born, Ambassador Woś served as the US Ambassador to Estonia during the George W. Bush Administration and is currently the President of the Institute for World Politics. Her personal story is a compelling reminder that freedom is not free, nor is it permanent.

The author? Air Force veteran, Stacey Ferguson of the Camden Historical Foundation. Stacey felt compelled to write this letter after joining a team who recently excavated the remains of 14 soldiers who fought in the American Revolution. The soldiers, laying in shallow graves since 1780, received proper military honors in 2023. Stacey placed her letter in their coffins. Stacey describes this life-changing experience, while sharing a story that many of us don't know about the American Revolution – one of the deadliest battles for American forces in the fight for freedom. The MOST patriotic/proud Americans are over 50 years of age. The LEAST patriotic/proud Americans are the Gen Y & Z , under 35 years of age.  Initiatives are returning to take back and revitalize patriotic control of this nation.  We must mobilize now with multi-path initiatives to restore the confidence, honor, and pride of America and its flag. The ‘Woke' liberal Left Deep State couldn't be happier to see Joe Biden remain a cognitive mess, keeping us off balance with the other noise of the day, distracting us from the vital concerns of this nation.  They're trying to keep us off balance.  Remember “Geno's 3-D's”? (Divert, Deflect, & Distract).  This plays into China's hands of American Marxism. This ‘Deep State' inner circle is now pervasive throughout government and must be destroyed.  Will it happen in 2024?  Trump recently promised to restore patriotism within public education.  An immediate cut to the federal funding of education will destroy ‘Woke' and ‘Critical Race Theory' presence in public schools. In this episode of Bourbon With Friends. The BWF team sits down with Country Music Artist and Veteran Ryan Weaver. Ryan's personal story is like no other artist in country music today. Growing up with a family of eleven in a small town in Floral City, Florida, he joined the Army right after high school. After several years of working as a Military Intelligence Analyst, Ryan followed in the footsteps of his two older brothers, Steve and Aaron, by attending Warrant Officer Candidate School and flight school. He graduated top of his class in flight school, becoming a Black Hawk Aviator.  In April 2003, he deployed to Baghdad International Airport in Iraq. Shortly after, one of his brothers, Aaron, was deployed just west of him in Fallujah.On January 8, 2004, Aaron was killed in action when the Medivac helicopter he was a passenger in was shot down by enemy fire. Ryan certainly understood mortality and the risks of combat…  After all, Aaron had survived the bloody 1993 battle in Mogadishu, Somalia – the same battle that became the basis for the movie, Black Hawk Down. When Aaron died, however, something changed for Ryan. He returned from combat, taking a new position training the next generation of Army aviators and officers at Fort Rucker, Alabama and has not piloted a Black Hawk since that fateful day. On December 17, 2013 Ryan's brother-in-law, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Randy Billings, was killed in action in Afghanistan when the Black Hawk helicopter he was piloting was shot down by an enemy ground-detonated explosive device.  This second heartbreaking loss made the Weaver family a two-time Gold Star family. Both of his brothers' ultimate sacrifices continue to fuel Ryan's fire to accomplish his dreams in music.In late 2016, Ryan released the music video for his single “Burn,” featuring Kris “Tanto” Paranto and John “Tig” Tiegen from the movie 13 Hours: Secret Soldiers of Benghazi. “Burn” aired nationwide on The Country Network and Heartland, and internationally at over 5,000 retailers, restaurants, and entertainment venues throughout the end of 2016 and beginning of 2017. Ryan's first music video “Crank It” played nationally on ZUUS Country TV and TNN/Heartland Network and spent 8 weeks on their Top 10 Video Countdown – a network record. In 2017, Ryan was named the Patriotic Voice of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) for their Celebrate America Campaign.  The World Finals is the biggest global stage in professional bull riding – a booming sport now seen in more than 400 million homes worldwide. The Celebrate America Campaign is a season-long initiative that honors America's heroes, inspires youth, and brings communities together. Weaver made his debut in the primetime performance slot, which was previously held by Aerosmith's Steven Tyler in 2016. At that time, the PBR officially launched Ryan as a PBR artist and debuted his new EP entitled Celebrate America.  Ryan worked closely with hit songwriter Wynn Varble on the Celebrate America EP, co-writing three of the four songs. He has toured the U.S. and internationally to Australia with the PBR in 2018 and 2019, performing his songs and singing the “National Anthem” at US events. He has several performances scheduled in Australia this year. Ryan performed on the first single from the West Point Military Academy's Benny Havens Band's  debut album Songs That Save Our Lives. The song was short-listed for GRAMMY Award consideration in the American Roots category.
