As the flames of the Karmelo Anthony-Austin Metcalf controversy simmer, a new spark threatens to reignite the firestorm of racial tension. On today's Fearless Monday, Jason reacts to the story of Shiloh Hendrix, a Rochester, Minnesota, native who raised over $600,000 after calling a young black autistic child the N-word. How did we get here? On one hand, you have Karmelo Anthony — a high school student who allegedly fatally stabbed a white classmate, allegedly due to a lack of emotional control. On the other, an emotionally immature white woman hurling racial slurs at children, then raising hundreds of thousands for her “relocation” after receiving backlash she arguably deserved. These are two sides of the same dysfunctional coin. None of it makes sense on the surface. There has to be something deeper going on. Who in their right mind donates hard-earned money to individuals entrenched in racial idolatry? To complicate matters further, Dr. Umar claims to have new evidence allegedly exonerating Karmelo Anthony, suggesting that both Austin and Hunter Metcalf “jumped” him, forcing him to act in self-defense. In other news, Caitlin Clark offers fans a glimpse of what's to come this WNBA season as the Indiana Fever face off against Brazil's national team. Ironically, the women of Brazil's national basketball squad — many of whom are women of color — seem to show more appreciation for Clark's global impact on women's basketball than many of her own American peers. Many years ago, the Jade Emperor of China held a race across a great river to decide the order of the years of the Zodiac. The Jade Emperor invited all the animals of the world, but only 12 chose to race.Some of the animals are clever and crafty, some are easily distracted but they all make it across the river and the Emperor rewards each animal by naming a year in the Zodiac after each one.Musicians from the BBC Philharmonic are joined by broadcaster Nihal Arthanayake and guest guzheng player Zi Lan Liao to share a musical re-telling of this ancient legend.

Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!NASCAR had it's final race of the Round of 12 where Larson took the win at the Charlotte Roval after a great move for the lead at the newly configured hairpin turn. We will note that for one great pass that was made it seemed that there were 3-4 terribly executed passes that resulted in one car taking out another one....rubbin is racing apparently.IMSA capped its season off with Petit Le Mans which had a dramatic final two hours and even more so dramatic moment with 5 minutes to go where the leading Chip Ganassi Racing Cadillac nearly completed an entire lap with NO headlights! The car was having an issue where its headlights were flickering on/off intermittently but luckily they stayed on long enough for the race stewards to give them the okay to continue. A pit stop that late in the race to fix the issue surely would have costed them the win. GTD Pro also had some championship drama as the Heart of Racing Aston Martin finished one place lower than they needed to in order to take the championship over the AO Racing Porsche which had a mechanical issue of it's own that set it back 5 laps down to the GTD Pro leaders.Supercars had their Great Race! The Bathurst 1000! And a great race it was as there was only 3 cautions that happened during the entire race. Great job by everyone to get the cars to the finish.Coming up this weekend: NASCAR is at Las Vegas for it's first race of three in the Round of 8. Formula One returns from it's Fall break with a race at COTA in Texas.

Tommy Czeschin was born into a life of mountains and lakes, so it's no surprise that he loves snowboarding and water sports-but what's shocking is that he was able to go pro in both. Not too bad for the quiet kid with talent who started ski racing and was the forerunner for the Jr Olympics before seeing snowboarding and making the switch.
