When this episode hits one hour, your brain will melt into the Speed Force. Trust us. The Flash is one of DC's most venerable franchises with its all-time thinnest story and character arc. The Ezra Miller movie is remixing the biggest story from the Grant Gustin show, which itself recycled the story of an animated feature adapted from a 2011 comic book. Need we say more? No one's thinking outside the box. All Flash media for the past decade has retold the same Flashpoint story because before Barry Allen ran to rebuild the multiverse, his only other notable feat was dying to save the multiverse. But don't sweat it. We're here to throw all of that away and show WB how it's f**king done. Welcome to Season 3. What's the secret of Pure Storage's success? Having pushed the industry into the All-Flash era, they now find themselves growing 30%/year and landing alone as the only storage vendor showing growth in this quarter's round of earnings. Pure Storage CEO Charlie Giancarlo joins the DataCentric podcast to talk about both what's behind Pure's current success, and how he envisions a future where "data" is a utility. Charlie gives us his insight on: What fuels Pure's current success. Where Pure is feeling challenged. How to succeed with customers: "Pleasantly surprise them... they tend to like you when you give them their nights and weekends back" The intersection of Flash and Cloud: "Customers should have the same experience in flash and cloud" The impact of AI to the enterprise (and storage): "Any part of [an enterprise's] data may be valuable someday" Pure's vision of the future: "Data should be a utility... delivered where its needed, how its needed" Social Responsibility in the Tech Industry Join in. The rapid growth of unstructured data represents a significant challenge for many enterprises across industries. As the volume and sources of data have expanded dramatically, traditional techniques to store and analyze information have proved to be too expensive and too slow to handle the massive data volumes modern enterprise product and manage. Dell EMC Isilon is designed to directly address that challenge, taking your data lake strategy to the next level with new scale-out offerings providing breakthrough efficiency, scale and agility from edge to core to cloud. Earlier this week at Dell EMC World, Isilon became the latest member of the Dell EMC All-Flash Portfolio. This week on Dell EMC The Source, Ed Beauvais (@EdBeauvais), Director Isilon Product Marketing stops by to talk Isilon and the impact of All-Flash for density (68 PB) and performance (25 Million IOPS). How does that translate to your workloads? Find out this week on Dell EMC The Source. For more visit www.emc.com/isilon Don’t miss “Dell EMC The Source” app in the App Store. Earlier today, DELL EMC introduced the latest All-Flash offering in the VMAX All-Flash family. Now with three distinct models- the VMAX 250F, the VMAX 450F, and the VMAX 850F, the VMAX All Flash Arrays all share the trusted Dynamic Virtual Matrix architecture and HYPERMAX OS. The VMAX All-Flash products are specifically architected to meet the storage capacity and performance requirements of the All Flash Enterprise Data Center. The VMAX All Flash products are feature-rich All Flash offerings with specific capabilities designed to take advantage of the new higher capacity flash drives used in the densest configuration possible. The VMAX All Flash Arrays offer enterprise customers the trusted VMAX data services, the improved simplicity, capacity, and performance which their highly virtualized environments demand, while still meeting the economics of the more traditional storage workloads. While the VMAX 250F was introduced October 10th, I was able to get a preview of the technology back at VMWorld 2016. I sat down in a highly secure room with Scott Delandy (@ScottDelandy) and Melissa Gurney (@SolutionsGeek) to get the details. Don’t miss “Dell EMC The Source” app in the App Store.
