The boys are back in town! And talking fighting! We saw one boxing division mainstay turn away a hungry challenger, when Adonis Stevenson beat down Andrzej Fonfara, and an MMA mainstay fall to the new guard, when Max Holloway beat Jose Aldo. Also, in upcoming action, Derrick Lewis takes on Mark Hunt. Does the UFC know how to market black fighters? Let's talk it out!
Billy C, Sal “Rocky” Cenicola and Daxx Khan breakdown and predict the Stevenson-Fonfara fight, the latest boxing news, sports scores and more!
Errol Spence just made it to the big time. He KO'd Kell Brook and isn't looking back, and Joe and Jesse break it all down in detail. We have more boxing action with George Groves finally winning his world title and Adonis Stevenson taking on Andrzej Fonfara! In MMA, Alexander Gustafsson held an uppercut party and Glover Teixeira was invited. Looking ahead, UFC 212 from Brazil promises big action, headlined by Jose Aldo and Max Holloway!

Former unified heavyweight champion Tyson Fury hits another delay on his return to the ring. Errol Spence Jr. issues a warning to the rest of the welterweight division. WBC World Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder calls out WBO World Heavyweight Champion Joseph Parker. We preview the light heavyweight rematch between Adonis Stevenson and Andrzej Fonfara and look at one of the most successful promoters in all the sport. It's a rapid-fire 25 or so minutes. Only on Boxing World Weekly.
The Gennady Golovkin vs David Lemieux Pay-Per-View is done. We're just waiting on sales numbers, which will be manipulated accordingly. But it sure felt like an important event. Basically Golovkin bludgeoned the daylights out of Lemieux at Madison Square Garden. In the co-feature, Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez showed exactly why he's considered the best fighter in the world by many, methodically breaking down Brian Viloria over nine rounds, retaining the flyweight title. The undercard featured Luis Ortiz taking out Matias Vidondo, and Tureano Johnson out-classing Eamonn O'Kane. We'll get to that stuff. In a Premier Boxing Champions main event on NBC, Lamont Peterson barely got by Felix Diaz Jr, while Terrel Williams upset Prichard Colon by DQ in a strange and now potentially tragic fight. (Prichard Colon remains in a coma as of posting - thoughts, prayers welcome.) A different PBC card on Spike brought action, with Andrzej Fonfara defeating Nathan Cleverly in the main event, and Kohei Kono beat Koki Kameda in the co-feature. It was fun, damnit. On HBO this coming weekend, Terence Crawford faces Dierry Jean. Cool. There's other news... Kell Brook injured, Antonio Tarver testing positive again, Sergey Kovalev vs Jean Pascal II, Andre Ward's return. James Foley of Bad Left Hook and The Fight City's Patrick Connor are on it. Thanks for tuning in!
The Saturday Boxing Show is back in the Kitchen. Welcome to the Sport City Food Fight! The mega-knockout bout is here David Lemieux vs Gennady Golovkin aka Triple G. Who ya got?? Ignacio Silva aka Nacho and Tyrone Powell aka TP Tymeless discuss tonight's possiblities and a review of last night's fight with Andrzej Fonfara vs. Nathan Cleverly which was a fight that might have gotten the boxing fans back at the edge of their seats once again. Come Eat what the Chefs are puttin' out we still have the best FOOD FOR THOUGHT around the World Wide Web hopefully y'all can do these dishes. Tell a friend to tell a friend that its the Sport City Chefs AGAIN!! If they don't know.................. NOW THEY KNOW!!!
Welterweight Keith Thurman fluted his way to a tough victory over Luis Collazo in the main event of boxing's return to ESPN, and Willie Nelson (not that one, but we know what you mean) scored a great knockout over previously unbeaten Tony Harrison in the opener. Was the entertainment value all part of some Premier Boxing Champions master plan, or did we once more get an accidentally-fun boxing card? Junior welterweight Mauricio Herrera finally caught a break, although he may not have deserved it against Hank Lundy on HBO Latino. The irony is that Herrera still wound up being punished even in a win, as the fight ended early as a result of a bad cut over Herrera's eye. Terry Flanagan picked up a lightweight belt under disappointing circumstances in Manchester, after Jose Zepeda suffered a freak shoulder dislocation and couldn't continue after round two. ...so that sucks. For Zepeda, anyway. This coming weekend, Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr faces Marcos Reyes on Showtime in his first fight back since being stopped by Andrzej Fonfara, and Carl Frampton makes his U.S. debut on CBS, fighting Alejandro Gonzalez, Jr in Texas. Overseas, it's Arthur Abraham vs Robert Stieglitz XXVI from Germany and so forth, and Scott Quigg vs Kiko Martinez on Sky Sports. Toss in Leo Santa Cruz vs Abner Mares being finalized and Miguel Cotto vs Saul "Canelo" Alvarez close, and James Foley of Bad Left Hook and The Fight City's Patrick Connor have a lot to tackle. Please go Like the Top Men Boxing Radio page on Facebook, and rate us on iTunes! Thanks for tuning in!

Inside of the ring, objectively, it doesn't get a whole lot better than last weekend. Between Matthysse-Provodnikov and Terence Crawford vs Thomas Dulorme on HBO and Andrzej Fonfara vs Julio Cesar Chavez on Showtime, there was mayhem, dirty tactics, drama, classy boxing, blood and, not to be overlooked, tremendous heart shown. Unfortunately so much of the great stuff was overshadowed by an ill-advised social media choice from Sergey Kovalev. This week on TQBR Radio, James Foley of Bad Left Hook and The Queensberry Rules' Patrick Connor cover it all, from top to bottom -- including this coming weekend's Wladimir Klitschko vs Bryant Jennings...whatever it is. Thanks for tuning in! (Photos: Ed Mulholland/HBO/LM Otero/AP)

At this point, with the schedule as full as it is, we should just dispense with the smart-alec remarks and sarcasm and just tell you what you should expect during the show. But we won't do that, because we're mouthy. Still, there's at least one fight going on this weekend that's about as can't miss as they get, and that needs to be addressed! This week on TQBR Radio, James Foley of Bad Left Hook and The Queensberry Rules' Patrick Connor will eagerly preview Lucas Matthysse vs. Ruslan Provodnikov, and likely with the masculinity of 17 wolverines. Terence Crawford fights Thomas Dulorme on the Matthysse-Provodnikov HBO undercard, and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. makes his comeback from a hiatus to fight Andrzej Fonfara on Showtime. Oh yeah, and there was another Premier Boxing Champions card on NBC last weekend featuring Danny Garcia vs. Lamont Peterson and more. Thanks for tuning in! (Photo: Premier Boxing Champions)
No matter what kind of fight is on the schedule, you can count on promotional companies and other PR entities to come up with gimmicks and weird stuff to get blood pumping. This weekend, "The Alien" (a 50-year-old guy who somehow is still relevant in boxing) meets "The Krusher" (a guy who displaces brain cells with a smile). Because Bernard Hopkins and Sergey Kovalev, two quality light heavyweights on HBO, aren't enough. And this week on TQBR Radio, James Foley of Bad Left Hook and Queensberry Rules' Patrick Connor probe the ins, outs and what-have-yous of Hopkins-Kovalev. But there's other stuff to talk about, too. Like last weekend's Andrzej Fonfara vs Doudou Ngumbu Showtime card (that also had the absurd Javier Fortuna vs Abner Cotto and respectable Tomoki Kameda vs Alejandro Hernandez), and a few other odd offerings like Felix Sturm vs Robert Stieglitz, Tomasz Adamek vs Artur Szpilka, and the HBO undercard of Sadam Ali vs Luis Carlos Abregu. Thanks for tuning in!
It's time to unify the light-heavyweight division and the guys are ready to give a hard-hitting preview of the most anticipated fight of the year. Bernard Hopkins, the ageless one, the Alien, looks to make boxing history on November 8th as he squares off with one of boxing's most dangerous fighters, Sergey 'Krusher' Kovalev, at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. It's Alien vs. Krusher! Also, a break down this past weekend's card from Chicago featuring bantamweight champion Tomoki Kameda, Andrzej Fonfara, and the wild Javier Fortuna. We discuss: Miguel Cotto vs. Sergio Martinez Adonis Stevenson vs. Andrzej Fonfara Karl Froch vs. George Grove
Boxing is threatening to enter a nice period of actual meaningful, entertaining fights lately. We can't allow that, can we? What would we have to complain about then? From this past weekend's unexpectedly interesting light heavyweight title bout between Adonis Stevenson and Andrzej Fonfara, to this coming weekend's highly anticipated super middleweight rematch between Carl Froch and George Groves, Queensberry Rules Radio has it all. And since we took a week off, James Foley of Bad Left Hook and Queensberry-Rules' Patrick Connor will also touch on Juan Manuel Marquez's victory over Mike Alvarado. Joining the two this week is fellow TQBR staffer Sam Sheppard. Thanks for tuning in!
