Send us Fan MailSkipping a week sounds harmless until you come back and realize boxing never stops moving. We kick things off with a real-life reset: California's laid-back vibe, the gut punch of seeing Skid Row up close, and a Tennessee detour that somehow ends with us getting humbled by “hot chicken” we had no business challenging. Then we do what we came to do and start catching up fast. From there, we dig into Sebastian Fundora vs Keith Thurman for the WBC super welterweight belt, why Thurman looked like a guy fighting uphill from round one, and what inactivity does to timing and legs when you're no longer the young version of yourself. We talk matchups at 154, who actually has the style to trouble Fundora, and why the division feels alive again when the right fights get made.Heavyweights get their shine too. We lay out why Moses Itauma is starting to feel like must-see TV, plus the kind of opponents we want next if promoters are serious about building a star. We also preview Tyson Fury vs Arslanbek Makhmudov, debate the danger of heavyweight power, and break down Regis Prograis vs Conor Benn at 150, including why the weight-class confusion matters for fans trying to track careers. We also touch the week's biggest headlines, including the Tank conversation and what repeated controversy does to a fighter's public trust, then end with future-fight chatter like Teofimo Lopez vs Ryan Garcia at 147. Well, well, well. What a performance from Moses Itauma to cement his reputation as the heavyweight king in waiting. But is everyone – and we mean everyone – getting too excited on the strength of a victory over Jermaine Franklin, a fighter who had previously lost his biggest fights? Or is the expectancy surrounding Itauma, arguably the most hyped heavyweight in history, truly justified? As well as plotting an ideal route to the top for Moses, we briefly examine Dave Allen being chucked in with Filip Hrgovic and reflect on Sebastian Fundora's pummelling of veteran Keith Thurman. In This Week, it's back to 1981, where Marvin Hagler oozes style at ringside as Sugar Ray Leonard shows his spiteful side while overpowering Larry Bonds. Juan previews Keith Thurmans return to championship boxing vs Sabastian Fundora live on Amazon Prime.
The man widely regarded as the next dominant heavyweight, Moses Itauma, continues his education against Jermaine Franklin this weekend. But what to expect from Franklin? Nobody expects him to win but some are predicting he'll be the first to provide the youngster with a semblance of a test. Over in America, Keith Thurman looks to roll back the years against Sebastian Fundora. Will the ‘Towering Inferno' prove a leap too far? Closer to home, Michael Conlan announced his retirement, George Liddard came through a difficult assignment, the death of Ricky Hatton is explored and in Australia, Jai Opetaia again wakes up as an ex-champion without having lost a fight. In This Week, we point the time machine to 2000 and Diego Corrales duelling with Derrick Gainer as he readies for Floyd Mayweather. What's that beautiful noise you hear? It's The Opening Bell, folks. Full breakdown of a big fight weekend
In this show, we talk about Carlos Adames third WBC middleweight title defense over Austin “Ammo” Williams. How good is Adames? On the undercard, Omari Jones won an eight-round unanimous decision over Christian Gomez. Corey Marksman defeated Jaycob Gomez in a battle of unbeatens, and Teremoana Jnr knocked out Dakota's guy, Curtis Harper.Lester Martinez won a 12-round unanimous decision over Immanuwel Aleem. The win makes Martinez the first Guatemalan world champion ever. In the co-feature, Kevin Anton, a junior middleweight, stopped Kudratillo Abdukakhorov, and Featherweight contender Albert Gonzalez recorded a first-round knockout over Brandon Chambers.A great British card. George Liddard won a unanimous decision over Tyler Denny, Jimmy Sains barely got by Derrick Osaze, and Leli Buttiegieg recorded a come-from-behind knockout victory over Jake Goodwin. The most promising contender, lightweight Giorgio Visioli, looked like a next-level talent. Also, Michael Conlan lost an uninspired split decision to Kevin Walsh. It was the end of an era of Irish boxing. This week, Sebastian Fundora will face Keith Thurman for Fundora's WBC junior middleweight title. The rest of the undercard is as follows: junior middleweight Yoenis Tellez vs. Brian Mendoza, middleweight Yoenli Hernandez vs. Terrell Gausha, and Gurgen Hovhannisyan vs. Cesar Navarro. The best fight of the card, to me, is Elijah Garcia vs. Kevin Newman II.Then, we talk about heavyweight Moses Itauma vs Jermaine Franklin, and Lukie will be live in Long Beach for the ProBox TV card.
Two big fights, four fighters at very different stages of their careers — and plenty at stake. Moses Itauma continues his rapid rise, but Jermaine Franklin offers a genuine test of durability, patience, and ring maturity. We discuss whether Itauma is being moved at the right pace and what this fight will really tell us about his ceiling. Meanwhile, Keith Thurman returns in a high-risk fight against Sebastian Fundora, whose size and relentless style make him one of the most difficult opponents in the division. We break down how Thurman can approach this fight, what Fundora needs to do to impose himself, and who has the edge. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Manny Pacquiao is BACK — and he's reuniting with Top Rank for another run! In this week's Ringside Reporter Podcast, we break down all the biggest stories shaking up the boxing world: ·
In this episode, Dakota and Lukie talk about Jaron "Boots" Ennis' first-round knockout over Uisma Lima. How good is Ennis? We discuss in the lead. Also, Keith Thurman and Sebastian Fundora will no longer fight at he end of October. Then, heavyweight Guido Vianello knocked out Alexis Barriere, with thoughts on Tahmir Smalls' win over Jose Roman and Dennis Thompson's close fight with Sean Diaz. Prospect alert on the undercard, watch Giorgio Visioli. He is good, and Naheem Parker beat unbeaten Justin Palmieri. Earlier in the day, Arslanbek Makhmudov revived his career by defeating Dave Allen in an action fight in the U.K. We also talked about Bilal Fawaz defeating Junaid Bostan in their rematch. Plus, we discuss Josh Padley's win over Reece Bellotti. A brief conversation about Red Owl Boxing's very fun card, but also a very late card on Friday Night. Friday we have a solid domestic British card promoted by Matchroom Boxing. The main event is a crossroads middleweight bout between Kieron Conway vs. George Liddard, which will show the trajectory of Liddard's potential. Other notables featured on this card are Jimmy Sains, Leli Buttigieg, and Taylor Bevan. A fight I think could be good is Shannon Ryan versus Chloe Watson, which is an evenly matched bout. On Saturday, Danny Garcia will fight for the final time in his career against Daniel Gonzalez. The bout will take place on Millions.co. Supporting bouts are Nahir Albright taking on former champion Richard Commey, Damian Knyba facing Philly veteran Joey Dawejko, the return of Chris Colbert, and possilby the most interesting fight on the card Gabriel Rosado vs. Vaughn Alexander.Saturday on DAZN in Texas, WBC junior flyweight champion Lourdes Juarez will face women's boxing modern legend Yesica Nery Plata in the main event. The co-feature will see a crossroads battle between local favorite Omar Juarez and Omar Rosario. Both were viewed as prospects. Now they both have two losses. Unified women's middleweight Desley Robinson will face Logan Holler, and former titleholder Shurretta Metcalf will face undefeated Krystal Rosado, who is managed by Amanda Serrano. In Long Beach, one of my favorite prospects in boxing, Albert Gonzalez, will face veteran Leonardo Baez in the main event.
