On the 29th of December, 1996, Gardai were called to a flat on Liffey St in Dublin city centre. Inside was the body of 26 year old British-Sri Lankan woman, Belinda Pereira, who was staying in Dublin for just a week. The nature of her trip prompted many inches of tabloid fodder. She had come to Dublin in order to carry out sex work.  But the voyeuristic media attention on Belinda's case did not last long.  Sadly, today, her name is all but forgotten.  ************ Join me at CrimeCon Uk on June 11-12 in London 2022! We all know the feeling. You go on a training course and come back inspired by the new skills and tools that you have acquired. But then it turns out to be hard to persuade your colleagues to try the new approaches, and your manager starts asking for results and you find yourself slipping back to the way things have always been done. We want to change all that. At least for Service Design. Our partnership with CIH Cymru aims to take a cohort of people from across Housing and the wider public service landscape and support them not simply to learn more about Service Design but to develop a new practice in their organisation. Ben Proctor sat down with Jo Carter and Melys Phinnemore to find out how the pioneer cohort was going and what we have learned so far in this programme.
