This podcast episode you're listening to right now was delivered to you, in part, by MongoDB and Python powering our web apps and production processes. But if you're using pymongo, the native driver from MongoDB to talk to the server, you're doing it wrong. Basing your app on a foundation of exchanging raw dictionaries is a castle of sand. BTW, see the joke at the end of the show about this. You should be using an ODM. This time we're talking about Beanie which is one of the exciting, new MongoDB Object Document Mappers which is based on Pydantic and is async-native. Our guest in this episode is Dr. Karsten. He's the mind behind the Early Retirement Now blog. He completed a PhD in economics, worked for the Federal Reserve for a while and taught economics. He joined the research department of an investment manager and got a CFA designation. He spent 10 years there before punching out to live the FIRE lifestyle a few years ago. He spent the first few months out on a world tour, visiting 20 plus countries, then settled down in the Northwest with his family. Early Retirement Now is a popular FI blog primarily because of Karsten's rigorous academic approach. We explore health insurance and withdrawal rates and strategies for early retirees and get his take on some controversial areas of finance like options and leverage. Interested in retiring early? This episode has been one that's been in the making for some time. For years, I've been building courses - for myself and for others. Something many of you don't know is that I have participated in the development of an online life coach school and am responsible for the development of the business curriculum along with my partner. The one thing that has always impacted me is how so many courses fail to meet the bar - they don't really accomplish what they claim and don't give their students the results they want. This obsession - if you will - actually drove me totally revamp my mindset course in the beginning of COVID and add an entire strategic component to help students ACTUALLY take the steps to scale their business. And while I've got my hands full as a success strategist for business owners using mindset - I recently teamed up with my daughter who is an editor and training to be a mindset coach to launch a joint venture we're pretty excited and passionate about - and that is sustainable course creation. I'm excited to introduce you to Maya today and also share with you what we're offering the world. If you're looking to build an online course or improve the one you have - this is an episode you're going to want to listen to right now to take advantage of some special offers we have coming up this month.

Check out our tutorial to see how: https://www.whitecoatinvestor.com/backdoor-roth-ira-tutorial/ . If at some point Congress decides to make this retroactively illegal, we will walk you through the process of undoing those contributions. With inflation and rising interest rates this is a more complex question than it typically should be. We answer some questions about employer sponsored 401(k)s, signing bonuses and what kind of contributions to make if you are one of those super savers. TITLE Navigating Social Situations as a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) GUEST Solo episode EPISODE OVERVIEW I recently attended a holiday party, and I observed the different stages I went through: feeling engaged and comfortable.  Then I had to set a boundary.  Then all of a sudden, something snapped, and I was done talking, and I wanted to go outside.  I found myself sitting alone, and I wondered what was wrong with me. Once I noticed the negative self-talk, I found a way to be present. I needed to leave the party before anyone else did.  How did I manage that? Then I talk about expectations that Highly Sensitive People (HSPs) set that may not be helpful. PODCAST HOST Patricia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Coach.  She knows what it's like to feel like an outcast, misfit, and truthteller.  Learning about the trait of being a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), helped Patricia rewrite her history with a deeper understanding, appreciation, and a sense of self-compassion.  She created the podcast Unapologetically Sensitive to help other HSPs know that they aren't alone, and that being an HSP has amazing gifts, and some challenges.  Patricia works online globally working individually with people, and she teaches Online Courses for HSPs that focus on understanding what it means to be an HSP, self-care, self-compassion, boundaries, perfectionism, mindfulness, communication, and creating a lifestyle that honors us  LINKS HSP Online Course--https://unapologeticallysensitive.com/hsp-online-groups/ Unapologetically Sensitive Merchandise-- https://patriciayounglcsw.com/product-category/merchandise/  Online HSP Course Materials (no group included) https://patriciayounglcsw.com/product-category/hsp-classes/  Receive the top 10 most downloaded episodes of the podcast-- https://www.subscribepage.com/e6z6e6  Sign up for the Newsletter-- https://www.subscribepage.com/y0l7d4  To write a review in itunes:  click on this link https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/unapologetically-sensitive/id1440433481?mt=2  select “listen on Apple Podcasts” chose “open in itunes” choose “ratings and reviews” click to rate the number of starts click “write a review” Website--www.unapologeticallysensitive.com Facebook-- https://www.facebook.com/Unapologetically-Sensitive-2296688923985657/ Closed/Private Facebook group Unapologetically Sensitive-- https://www.facebook.com/groups/2099705880047619/ Instagram-- https://www.instagram.com/unapologeticallysensitive/ Youtube-- https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOE6fodj7RBdO3Iw0NrAllg/videos?view_as=subscriber Tik Tok-- https://www.tiktok.com/@hsppodcast e-mail-- unapologeticallysensitive@gmail.com Show hashtag--#unapologeticallysensitive  Editing by Shelly Aaron Productions-- https://www.shellyaaron.com/  Music-- Gravel Dance by Andy Robinson www.andyrobinson.com

The team at Instagram dropped a performance bomb on the Python world when they open-sourced Cider, their performance oriented fork of CPython. It contains a number of performance optimizations, including bytecode inline caching, eager evaluation of coroutines, a method-at-a-time JIT, and an experimental bytecode compiler that uses type annotations to emit type-specialized bytecode that performs better in the JIT. While it's not a general purpose runtime we can all pick up and use, it contains many powerful features and optimizations that may make their way back to mainline Python. It covers making sure you maxed out your 401(k)s and HSAs and 529s ABLE accounts if you have a disabled kid as well as using up your flexible spending account and making sure you have insurance in place and giving to charity before the end of the year, if that's something you're interested in doing. Having a child motivated them to be more intentional about getting their financial lives in place. Fortunately they had physician incomes so even if you are not perfect in the first few years you still have that income to become financially successful quickly. High income makes it easier.
