In today's Cloud Wars Minute, I spotlight why SAP's AI and data strategy is changing the enterprise game.Highlights00:02 — We've got more changes to dig into here on the Cloud Wars Top 10, as we saw SAP soar up to number four. SAP had held the number five spot for a couple of years now, and moved up to number four. All those companies in the enterprise application space now have morphed into applications, agents, AI, and data companies, not just simple application companies anymore.00:42 — So, in this fast-changing environment, SAP has really stood out by dramatically outgrowing its other very, very capable competitors. I call these four pieces of the SAP portfolio the Four Horsemen of Business Transformation. So, those include Business Suite, Business AI, the Business Data Cloud, and the Business Technology Platform.01:40 — So, for SAP, its growth rate in its most recent quarter is 27%, and its cloud revenue is $6.14 billion. Microsoft came in second place with its Dynamics 365 enterprise apps, up 18%. SAP grew 50% faster. Workday, 14.6%, $2.24 billion. Oracle, overall apps were up 11%, $3.9 billion.02:50 — So, healthcare lagging there for Oracle, and then Salesforce, the biggest at $10.3 billion, but grew 8.6%. SAP grew about three times faster, which is a 200% differential there. What's interesting about this is business leaders looking to expand what they're doing with enterprise applications, especially to help transform their businesses, to get into the AI economy.03:45 — So, in a wide-open field with lots of choices, terrific competition, SAP stands out as the high-growth leader. Now, it's a little clunky to say enterprise apps, AI, agentic, and data, so if anybody comes up with a real code name for this, let me know. She describes the forces driving this movement as the "four horsemen of the Anthropocene": fire, heat, flood, and drought. As the tropics become increasingly dangerous, Vince explains that populations from the Global South will necessarily move toward the Global North, where land is more abundant and nations are wealthier and better able to adapt. He reiterates his belief in two raptures: a pre-tribulation/early-tribulation rapture for the zealous evangelical (Philadelphia) Church, and a pre-wrath rapture for those later converted. The lukewarm or backslidden (Laodicean) believers, he suggests, may go through the Tribulation due to their refusal to be zealous, but Christ still offers them a chance to "get hot" (Revelation 3). Chapter 6 shifts the focus from heaven to the judgments upon the earth, which are directed at unbelievers and those remaining.The opening of the first four of the Seven Seal Judgments unleashes the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse upon the earth. The First Seal releases the Antichrist on a white horse, conquering peacefully through deception and a strong delusion (Romans 1), establishing a global order in a world that rejected God. The Second Seal brings War (red horse), followed by the Third Seal ushering in Famine (black horse and scales), and the Fourth Seal introducing widespread Death and Pestilence (ashen horse), claiming authority over a fourth of the earth. The Fifth Seal reveals the souls of martyred believers (likely Jewish or newly converted) under the altar, pleading for vengeance, while the Sixth Seal brings catastrophic cosmic disturbances (earthquake, black sun, bleeding moon), and the falling of stars (interpreted as demonic powers), signifying the commencement of God's eviction of Satan and the beginning of the "wrath of the Lamb." Mankind's response to these clear manifestations of divine power is not repentance, but an "awful prayer" to the mountains and rocks to hide them from God's wrath, demonstrating the extreme hardness of their hearts.

Climate Migration Is Inevitable: The Global South, the Four Horsemen, and the Necessity of Movement. Gaia Vince's book, Nomad Century: How Climate Migration Will Reshape Our World, examines the statistics warning that the climate of the near future will be dramatically different. Vince emphasizes that climate migration is "very much underway" and inevitable, highlighting the plight of Abel Cruz, a farmer in rural Peru who moved to Lima due to drought but became part of the growing global south slums. The phenomenon of the global south moving north is overwhelming, as the tropics are becoming dangerous and unlivable, compelling people to move to higher latitudes in the northern temperate zone, which are generally wealthier and better equipped to adapt. Vince refers to the primary threats that force movement as the "four horsemen of the Anthropocene": fire, heat, flood, and drought, which destroy livelihoods and property. 1956
