This week I have a segment on Body Terrorism, a segment on Libertarian Bashing and segment on Chesterton's Fence and a larger number of small items than usual.
You know I love every interview, but sometimes, a favorite emerges and this week was an ALL TIME FAVORITE. Sonya Renee Taylor, founder of The Body Is Not An Apology is about radical self-love for everybody and every body. This woman honors all of the humans at all of the intersections better than anyone I’ve ever seen. She is wildly inspiring, compassionate, intelligent, focused, diligent, and strong. This is an interview to share with friends, gather around, listen together and discuss what you learned afterwards. We talk about what she calls, “Body Terrorism” - a structural, systemic apparatus that informs how we think about our bodies, and how the information of the world around us forms our language. She shares the origin story of her movement and the RUCHUS Project with us (you’re going to LOVE this!), AND her definition and practice of radical self-love. We explore a lot of relevant things throughout this conversation that many of us are impacted by and likely don’t even realize. It’s so juicy and illuminating down to her description of womanhood in the 21st century as a container whose walls are threatening to burst. Listen to this one more than once and share it up, wild ones!

Dr. Veronica's guest is Dr. Felicia "Fee-Fee" Clark, a Body Acceptance Life Coach and the nation's leading scholar on Body Terrorism. She coaches women into loving their bodies which happens when a woman connects to her feminine essence and filters out negative destructive messages. She also teaches classes in the Denver area to teach women how to breathe and move to activate their feminine energy so that women feel connected to, and comfortable in, their bodies. Dr. Clark, a professional plus-size model once represented by the top modeling agency in the United States, emphasizes to her coaching clients that beauty is NOT the gateway to love and happiness. A woman must be receptive in order to be attractive and this magnetic attractive force is centered in a woman's womb. She speaks at colleges, conferences, and to women's groups about how successful women must stay connected to our feminine selves which means embracing the sacredness of our wombs. Her upcoming body acceptance book: 'End Body Terroism: One Size Never Fit All' is for the 80% of girls and women of all sizes who struggle to love their bodies - as is.
