Kris Letang had surgery to repair a hole in his heart and has an expected recovery time of 4-6 weeks. The Pirates have lost four games when starters pitch six or more innings. Jack Suwinski has struggled this season. Andrew McCutchen did not play Tuesday and it seems the Pirates are being cautious with him in the field.

Bucco Minute – 10 runs on 14 hits for the Pirates last night in a win over the Nationals. The Pirates actually lead the league in batting average w/ runners in scoring position. The problem is that they don't have those opportunities much. Only a little over 10k in the house last night for a Paul Skenes start. There are just 2 teams in baseball with less attendance than the Buccos in the early going.

One of the top draft pundits out there says the Steelers, mostly Mike Tomlin, loves Shedeur Sanders, and would be in the camp to draft him if he makes it to 21st overall. Would that be the right move? Poni is worried that having a similar viewpoint on a QB that Tomlin does, given how everything with Kenny Pickett went a few years ago. Poni was also surprised by the results of a Twitter poll about Sanders. Callers shared opinions on Shedeur Sanders and if the Steelers should take him in the 1st round. The guys debated about how to win in 2025 and if we will trust Mike Tomlin in the '26 draft. The debate then continued to other position groups. What is the most we have paid for as sporting event? Austin paid well over $100 for his tickets to the Pat McAfee show tonight. The Pirates have defeated the Cardinals, 2-1, in a slugfest at PNC Park – their first series win of the season. There were things to feel good about, but the offense has to be a concern. There is also another scandal going on with the Buccos, as they removed the bricks from outside PNC Park.
