Cherington said that some of the bullpen help will come internally, and that they still have faith in a lot of the guys in the bullpen. Poni mentions that the Pirates are going to have to give up assets to get assets, and that Cherington can't be afraid to do this if he doesn't want to end up with nothing. This made big waves throughout Pittsburgh as many are hoping that the Pirates add bullpen arms. Poni thinks that Cherington, like other GMs throughout the league, is afraid to make a trade unless he knows he is fleecing the other guy. MLB writer Travis Sawchik joined the show. Travis says that he absolutely thinks the Pirates should be buyers at the deadline, and he thinks that bullpen help should be the first priority. He also says that there is no excuse for the Pirates not to help the bullpen, as bullpen arms are always on the move around deadline time. Travis says that the market will loosen up near the deadline because there will terms will be more sure that they cannot make the playoffs. He also thinks that it would cost a ridiculous package to acquire Mason miller, similar to the one that the A's got for him last year. Pirates reporter Colin Beazley from the PG joined the show. Colin labeled Esmerlyn Valdez as ‘untouchable' ahead of the trade deadline and said he wouldn't part with really anyone on the Major League roster right now. Colin mentioned that a Mason Miller trade would likely include a big-money player from the Padres that they are looking to move in order to free up money. How can the Pirates add to the roster without adding much in terms of payroll? Colin's guess is that Luke Weaver will be the Pirates main target at the trade deadline. This could potentially be an all-time Pirates trade. There was a potential deal with the Mets for Brooks Raley, a very good left handed reliever. The Pirates took the deal for Brandon Eisert instead. The Pirates took down the Phillies 6-1 and split the series in Philadelphia. They sit at .500 after 88 games this season. They also now lead baseball in times sitting at .500 this season with 14. Poni thinks the turning point of today's game was the first inning when Jared Jones fell behind Trea Turner, the leadoff guy, 3-0 and ended up striking him out in front of Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper. The Pirates still sit at .500 after they have lost Paul Skenes last 9 starts, which could be a good sign. Pirates Insider Jason Mackey joins the show. Jason says that his biggest takeaway from today's game is that Esmerlyn Valdez is for real. Mackey is a fan of Jared Triolo because of his defense, but also mentions that his OPS is above .800 his last 13 games. Jason says that he would be surprised if Skenes is still adamant about pitching to Henry Davis after his recent struggles. He thinks it makes sense to try something new. Jason thinks that Paul Skenes puts too much on his plate and cares too much about being a people pleaser. Mackey thinks that nobody on the internet is seeing anything with Skenes that the Pirates are not seeing. Manager's Minute: Don Kelly's postgame press conference.

A couple of topics tickled Poni's mind to start today's show. To start, he wants the Penguins to pick a lane. They should attack this free agency period as a rebuilding team or as a team that wants to go for the Stanley Cup. Are fans against the Penguins going after Jason Robertson? Can they do both at the same time? Poni also brought up the World Cup win for Team USA last night that came with controversy when one of their best players was given a red card early in the second half, which will also keep him out for the Round of 16 matchup against Belgium. He said for a country that isn't very into the sport, everyone became an expert with that call. How much is Pittsburgh into the World Cup? Stars reporter Robert Tiffin from Stars Thoughts dot com joined the show. Robert was here to give us the latest on what is happening with Jason Robertson. Robert said there are very few players that can score more than Robertson, so the price would be high in a trade, possibly including Bryan Rust along with a few 1st round picks. Robert doesn't know if Erik Karlsson back to Dallas would help the trade go through, but he does have some things in his favor. Robert expects Robertson to end up back in Dallas. Robert listed the number of teams that have been rejected by Robertson and/or the Stars so far. Percentage chance Robertson isn't a Star when next season begins? 20%.

Charlie Batch thinks that there is no way the Steelers hang on to 4 quarterbacks this season, despite what some reports are saying. Poni thinks that Mason Rudolph will be the odd man out. Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo from the PG joined the show. Ray says that there are two other high-profile corners in Joey Porter Jr.'s draft class, and he would value them a tick above Porter. He thinks the Nick Herbig contract will affect how much Porter ends up getting. Ray isn't sure if Darnell Washington will out-snap Pat Freiermuth again, and thinks that Freiermuth will play more than he did last year. He also thinks that Germie Bernard will be eased into the lineup as the year progresses on.

– Co on musi mieć w głowie? We are less than 24 hours away from the start of NHL Free Agency and the Penguins are reportedly in on one of the biggest fish in the pond – Jason Robertson. Poni wants them to do everything they can in order to acquire his talents. Robertson is a 3X 40-goal scorer and is only 27. Due to Robertson being a restricted free agent, it could require the Penguins to send 4 1st round picks to the Stars if they make him an offer he agrees to (and the team doesn't match). Poni noted that Robertson has turned down a few other teams already, but the Penguins are still in-play. BREAKING: The Penguins have made a trade with the Golden Knights – acquiring Kaedan Korczak (D) for Parker Wotherspoon (D). / PM Team Sports Court w/ our friends from Edgar Snyder & Associates. Should the Penguins go all-in for Jason Robertson? How many home runs can Esmerlyn Valdez hit as a rookie? Is Braxton Ashcraft a better pitcher than Paul Skenes right now? Penguins reporter Dan Kingerski joined the show. Dan had a hard time understanding the D-for-D trade the Penguins just made sending Parker Wotherspoon to the Golden Knights. What will their third defense pairing look like? Dan believes Ryan Shea will get more money on the open market than what he will get from the Penguins. Dan isn't in love with the Darnell Nurse idea, describing it as a project that will last at least 4 years. Dan questioned if a massive move like Jason Robertson makes sense for where the Penguins are at right now. He gives it about a 20% chance of happening. Dan pointed out a few names people should have their eyes on going into free agency tomorrow afternoon. He said they need to fortify the blueline.

Poni thinks that trading David Bednar was one of Ben Cherington's worst moves as the GM of the Pirates. Cherington also said that the bullpen will turn it around and that they have been unlucky. Veteran baseball writer John Perrotto joined the show. John says that it males sense that there aren't a lot of teams that are ready to sell players yet, citing how the Red Sox just swept the Yankees and have to think twice about shipping off their bullpen arms.
