Louis Riddick thinks it's a little bit ridiculous that the Steelers would consider Will Howard if they have a chance to draft Ty Simpson. How much better is Simpson than Howard? Poni wondered if what Austin is doing with Drew Allar is similar to what he and other Pitt fans did with Kenny Pickett a few years ago. Poni is curious if other Penn State fans are like that or if Austin has a man-crush.

Poni is curious if other Penn State fans are like that or if Austin has a man-crush. Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo from the PG joined the show. The guys immediately dug into the leaked Steelers report card, which had Art Rooney rated as the worst owner in the league – citing terrible facilities, including the field at Acrisure Stadium. Should the Steelers find a way to stop high school games from happening at the stadium? Ray doesn't think this bothers Art because he claims they are working on upgrades or some new facilities. Ray doesn't think it should be shocking if the Steelers use a 3rd round pick on Drew Allar. Ray thinks any rookie QB selected by the Steelers would be QB3 for most, if not all of the season. Ray is skeptical of Ty Simpson getting 1st round buzz and does not expect the Steelers to have interest at 21st overall. Ray thinks the article listing DK Metcalf as a trade candidate is someone in the media being forced to think of a name. Ray expects the Steelers to add a free agent WR that makes roughly $15M/year. Power Rankings – Top 5 Steelers draft wish list.

Do we think Khan wants Aaron Rodgers back the same way the coach wants? The guys believe Khan actually wants Will Howard to start and push to the future, but the coach and owner could be holding that back. Poni has his doubts we find many people that will be calling in defense of the older QB. Would Aaron Rodgers consider any other team besides the Steelers? Would any other team, besides the Steelers, consider him? Sports Court w/ our friends from Edgar Snyder & Associates. With Konnor Griffin mashing the baseball today, the guys asked if any prospect in baseball could make a legal push to be on a big-league roster earlier than they should? After Sidney Crosby was hurt in the Olympics, what legal standing is there when it comes to pro players taking part in international competition? Rob told us baseball and hockey are different, and that each player in MLB has to have insurance policies in-place before they play in something like the World Baseball Classic. He added that players that don't get insured could lose everything if they get injured.
Last season it was Shedeur Sanders that got the love from Mel Kiper Jr going into the draft. This year's name appears to be Ty Simpson and Kiper, yet again, has the Steelers connected to the QB. Are we even positive that Simpson is better than Kenny Pickett? Poni said he would be more upset about the Steelers drafting Simpson would be worse than bringing Aaron Rodgers back.

Crosby said that Team Canada "deserved better." Nathan MacKinnon said that Canada was the better team. All that matters is the scoreboard and it showed that Team USA won 2-1. Poni says that he thinks some players value the process more than the results. The guys say that MacKinnon should be more upset about missing an open net than thinking they deserved better.

Poni says they're not winning anything with Rodgers even after adding Waddle. What is the status of Broderick Jones?

Daryl, who wanted Sid to break his leg a week ago, calls in. He says he cares about Sid as a Penguin.
Team USA Gold or Pens playoff run, Pens fans chime in, and Poni is upset at Donny Football
The Donny Football Debrief. Poni is highly offended that he was not invited to Donny's Bachelor Party. I defend Donny for not inviting the guys. I think they're on the older side of things. Poni and Mueller say they would cover most of the bills, which I don't think Donny wanted them to do.
Is Sidney Crosby going to play tomorrow for Canada? Are you OK with that if it's further risking injury and he possibly misses the rest of the Penguins season? The guys think it would be Sid trying to have his cake and eat it too after stating recently that winning a Stanley Cup means more than winning a gold medal. If that's the case, he should not play in the remainder of the Olympics. Are fans cool with Sidney Crosby playing in the rest of the Olympics if it means he could hamper the rest of the Penguins season? Pirates insider Jason Mackey from the PG joined the show. Jason doesn't have Konnor Griffin on his Opening Day roster projection, but said Griffin's spring performance could easily change that. Jason doesn't think the Pirates would be mad or upset if they had the easy call to play Griffin in Triple A to begin the season. More discussion as to what it will take for Griffin to break into the bigs immediately. Jason said Konnor isn't boring like some athletes can be – Mike Trout, for example. Poni was stunned to hear that Bryan Reynolds will be the starter in left field despite his defensive lapses. Jason said it feels like they are shoehorning Ryan O'Hearn into the outfield when he's more of a first baseman. Jason thinks Jared Triolo (3B) and Nick Gonzales (SS) will be the left side of their infield when the season begins.

Hour 2 with Donny Football and Mark Kaboly: Ben Roethlisberger decided not to address the Steelers drama and how he was called out by Joey Porter Sr. Mark has released his first mock draft. Sidney Crosby was banged up against Czechia and went back to the locker room. Who could the Steelers bring back??
Steelers apologist Mark Kaboly responds to Poni's tweet that he's heard a Steelers player will surprisingly not be on the team next season. Could the Steelers bring James Daniels back? Should the Steelers pursue Tua or Anthony Richardson?
A source told Poni that there is a Steelers player everyone expects to be back that won't be. Who could it be? This comes on the heels of Aditi telling us that the chances of Aaron Rodgers coming back is ‘miniscule.' We wondered who the player could be. Which one would truly be a ‘surprise' if they didn't return?

Sidney Crosby has begun his quest for a third Olympic gold medal as Canada blanked Czechia, 5-0 earlier today. Poni had a big question for people in Pittsburgh – are you rooting for the United States or Canada? It sounds silly, but a recent poll showed that 40% of Penguins fans are rooting for 87 to win another gold. Team USA doesn't have anyone from the Penguins current roster, but it has a former coach and Stanley Cup champion in charge. Mullsy got annoyed late in the segment and decided he would also root for Canada and Crosby.
Antonio Brown has come to the defense of Ben Roethlisberger. But was it really AB? His social accounts seem to be operated by a few different people. Poni is still perturbed by Joey Porter turning heel on Big Ben after they were buddy-buddy at the most recent Steelers Hall of Honor ceremony. Is Porter angling for a career in media? The guys discussed active players having podcasts, since this did take place on the one hosted by Cam Heyward. Poni said he wouldn't be stunned if Heyward's next episode includes some sort of apology. KDKA TV's Bob Pompeani joined the show. Bob talked about his time covering the Winter Olympics. The guys asked Bob about Olympic hockey and the rooting interest fans have between the United States and Sidney Crosby & Canada. Pomp said he is true red, white and blue when it comes to the Olympic games. Bob called the Joey Porter beef with Ben Roethlisberger ‘strange' and thinks the timing of it is weird. Bob reflected on what Porter and Ben said about the Steelers and each other during the Hall of Honor ceremony. Can Bob do 15 push-ups consecutively? Pomp is upset Russia isn't in the games. One wild man said he wouldn't care if Crosby broke his leg in the games. Pirates insider Jason Mackey from the PG joined the show. Jason is taking in the early workouts in Bradenton after pitchers and catchers reported yesterday. Nick Castellanos just got released by the Phillies, but Jason does not anticipate the Pirates having any interest there. Jason does not think talks have begun between the Pirates and Konnor Griffin on a contract extension. Jason guessed it would need to be close to the Roman Anthony deal with the Red Sox, which was worth $130M total. Jason said there is a ‘very good chance' Griffin is on the Opening Day roster and he will have every opportunity throughout the spring, similar to Jared Jones, to prove it. Jason said there are no questions defensively for Griffin and he can play a mix of shortstop and outfield. Jason is a little less optimistic that the Pirates will sign a left-handed pitcher before the season begins. He projected that they have ‘maybe a half dozen' options at 3B outside of the organization. Jason has the Pirates as an 84-85 win team right now.

What are other notable Steelers saying about Joey Porter bashing Ben Roethlisberger? Not much. A few players responded to the Instagram post, but none of them want to say more about it. Poni is upset that guys that won a Super Bowl together are taking shots at each other well after their playing days. Chris has issues with both guys – could he be the great unifier? 93.7 The Fan Sports Director Jeff Hathhorn joined the show. Jeff is surprised that Joey Porter called out Ben Roethlisberger because they won a Super Bowl together. The Pirates have made another move. The news broke this morning that they are singing Marcell Ozuna to a 1-year deal worth $12M. Ozuna will step in and be the team's DH, likely ending the Andrew McCutchen era in Pittsburgh. Do his off-the-field issues scare you at all about this move? What about his injury riddled 2025 campaign? Poni said there is reason to be excited about this – he's a player that can hit a lot of home runs and extend their lineup like we have not seen in a few years (if not more). Chris has his hold ups for both on and off the field reasons.
Does the Marcell Ozuna signing make the Pirates a legit threat in the NL Central? Are they better than the Brewers, Cubs and/or Reds? Poni thinks they are a team that should win games in the mid-80s, which could mean a postseason berth. Where does Ozuna fit into this lineup? And what does that lineup look like? Are the Pirates a playoff team? Do callers think the Pirates can make the playoffs? PG columnist Noah Hiles joined the show. Noah formerly covered the Pirates for the PG and still takes part in a baseball podcast. Noah isn't sure how all of these pieces fit in the Pirates lineup after signing Marcell Ozuna to a 1-year deal earlier today. Noah said Ozuna is unquestionably a better player than Andrew McCutchen. He said the offense is better, but pitching still has to lead the way with a defense that isn't good. Noah thinks keeping Jared Triolo in the lineup is important for what he provides on defense alone. Noah wants the Pirates to add a utilityman and another pitcher because it's still a group of mostly unproven guys. Noah doesn't know if the Pirates are ‘much better' than a 75-win team. Noah suggested Mark Vientos being the final acquisition, but he would add to the crew of bad defensive players.
Does the Marcell Ozuna signing mean that Andrew McCutchen is officially done as a Pittsburgh Pirate? Poni says that most Pirates fans don't really care that this is it in Pittsburgh for Cutch. Callers weigh in on the Andrew McCutchen situation More callers on the Andrew McCutchen situation. Donny Football Debrief – Reviews of Super Bowl LX. What do the odds look like for next season?

Former MLB pitcher Matt Clement joined the show. Matt reacted to the Marcell Ozuna signing in Pittsburgh. He said this is the exact thing the Pirates were looking for and this could be a pretty good pairing. Matt isn't sure if Ozuna gets back to being a legit MVP candidate, but the change of scenery should help him be better than last season. Matt pointed out that expectations in Pittsburgh are lower than they are in Atlanta. Matt said if things go south, they will easily be able to unload Ozuna around the deadline. Matt would still like to see a starting pitcher added to the rotation even though it appears as if Mitch Keller will be back.

The Pirates are interested in Framber Valdez, but we think that it's more likely they sign Tyler Anderson or Jose Quintana as a lefty No. 5 starter. Poni has reported that the Pirates have talked to the Mets about third basemen Brett Baty and Mark Vientos.
Hour 4 with Bob Pompeani and Joe Starkey: Dan throws some cold water on the idea that Framber Valdez will sign with the Pirates. Dan said the smoke is real surrounding the Pirates and Marcell Ozuna. Poni has reported that the Pirates have talked to the Mets about third basemen Brett Baty and Mark Vientos.

Mike McCarthy said recently that he is a big analytics guy, and analytics are the foundation of his coaching. A lot of people dislike analytics, due to decisions sometimes costing teams games. Poni says that he would've preferred Kubiak, LaFleur, or Minter as the Steelers coach as opposed to McCarthy.
