June 11 – Ep. 103: For today's episode, Joe Clark and Ross McCorkle discuss Mike McCarthy's OTAs, which are being described as notably more intense and structured than Mike Tomlin's in recent years. Will players burn out toward the end of the season, as Ben Roethlisberger suggested, or is that a silly thought? Next, we discuss Big Ben's record prediction of 12-5, and whether or not that is too optimistic. We offer our early record predictions as well. For the last topic, we dive into Brendan Sorsby's mess in the NCAA, and why it's an awful thing not only for college football, but for sports in general. We wrap up the show with a listener question about an under-the-radar trade candidate. Thank you for joining us for this 40-minute episode, and we hope to see your thoughts in the comment section. No film-room cop-outs, no “it depends” hedging. Just quick, honest win-loss calls across the entire schedule, including rivalry landmines in the AFC North and that wildcard trip to Paris to face the Saints. After the picks, we zoom out and talk about what's actually driving optimism right now: a complete coaching reset under Mike McCarthy, what minicamp and OTAs can reveal about tempo and expectations, and why veteran buy-in matters as much as talent. We also hit key Steelers news and roster pressure points, like the Chris Boswell extension and the growing questions around Joey Porter Jr and how a “hold in” could impact training camp.We finish by asking the real question behind every schedule prediction: if 12 and 5 is on the table, what does this team have to change to finally deliver in the postseason? Listen, then drop your record prediction and your boldest take. May 22, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 139 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing Pittsburgh Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers holding his first press conference this past week and on the heels of him signing his new contract. Alex and I make sure to parse several key things that Rodgers said a few days ago and that includes us talking about his announcement that 2026 will be his final NFL season. We also make sure to go over all the details of the contract that Rodgers signed recently. The Steelers released their 2026 training camp schedule on Thursday, so Alex and I make sure to recap those dates and the notable different changes that are included in it as well. Steelers HC Mike McCarthy addressed the media a few days ago to discuss OTAs and the return of Rodgers, so we make sure to parse everything that was notable to come out of his mouth. We hyper focus some on what McCarthy had to say of OT Troy Fautanu and OG Mason McCormick both likely to shift to the left side of the offensive line for the 2026 season. Alex and I take some time to discuss what OT Broderick Jones had to say this past week during an interview. We go over the plausibility of Jones not being ready for the start of training camp, and the possibility of him starting the 2026 regular season on the Reserve/PUP list. We also make sure to address the possibility of Jones not playing at all in 2026 and then having the final year of his contract toll next offseason should that wind up happening. During this show, Alex and discuss whether improvements of either the offense or defense in 2026 could have a greater impact on the team in 2026 and why. This 122-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the recap above and we make sure to answer a few listener emails we have received to close out this show. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. On the Wednesday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, host Christopher Carter welcomes Post-Gazette Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo to react to comments by new OC Brian Angelichio and DC Patrick Graham during the team's OTAs. Is Angelichio correct to focus on versatility for his receivers including Germie Bernard, DK Metcalf, Michael Pittman Jr. and Roman Wilson? And offensive linemen including Max Iheanachor, Mason McCormick, Gennings Dunker, Troy Fautanu and Broderick Jones? And what can that versatility possibly add for new coach Mike McCarthy's offense? And on defense, can Patrick Graham clean up the communication issues that have plagued the unit at times under coach Mike Tomlin? And if so, how effective can Cam Heyward, T.J. Watt, Joey Porter Jr., Jalen Ramsey, Jamel Dean and the rest of the group be? Our duo tackles those questions and more. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Aaron Rodgers is back in Pittsburgh, and the NFL world has plenty to say about it. The four-time MVP is returning to the Steelers for his 22nd NFL season, this time on a one-year deal worth up to $25 million. The move comes with a major subplot: Rodgers is now reunited with Mike McCarthy, the head coach who guided him to a Super Bowl in Green Bay. McCarthy replaced the legendary Mike Tomlin, who stepped down after 19 seasons following Pittsburgh's Wild Card exit. Last year, Rodgers led the Steelers to 10 wins and an AFC North title, throwing 24 touchdowns against just 7 interceptions, respectable production for a team that leaned heavily on its defense and run game. But questions remain. At 42 years old, can Rodgers still be the guy under a new offensive system? Can McCarthy unlock a better version of the Steelers' passing attack than what Pittsburgh ran in 2025? And with young quarterbacks like Drew Allar and Will Howard waiting in the wings, how long does this window stay open? We break down the contract, the fit, the expectations, and whether this move makes Pittsburgh a legitimate AFC contender in 2026. Then we pivot to the hardwood. The 2026 NBA Conference Finals are officially set, and the matchups are must-watch television. In the West, it's the undefeated Oklahoma City Thunder taking on Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs. The Thunder have yet to drop a single game this entire postseason, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, fresh off winning his second straight MVP award, is playing at an historic level. But the Spurs dispatched the Timberwolves in six games to earn their shot, with Stephon Castle delivering a 32-point, 11-rebound closeout performance in Game 6. The wrinkle heading into Game 1? De'Aaron Fox was ruled out with right ankle soreness, a massive blow to San Antonio's chances of toppling the defending champs. In the East, the New York Knicks, rolling on offense and locked in defensively, square off against the Cleveland Cavaliers, who knocked off the top-seeded Detroit Pistons in a dominant Game 7. Donovan Mitchell and the Cavs are battle-tested, while the Knicks are riding one of the hottest offensive stretches of the entire postseason. We break down both Conference Finals matchups, who has the edge, which team is being underestimated, and who's making a run to the NBA Finals. #AaronRodgers #Steelers #NFL #NBAPlayoffs2026 #ConferenceFinals #NBAConferenceFinals #ThunderSpurs #KnicksCalvs #ShaiGilgeousAlexander #Wembanyama #DonovanMitchell #JalenBrunson #NFLNews #Pittsburgh #KornerBoothPodcast
