One of our biggest mistakes early during the show was covering all 3 Community Christmas episodes as a singular episode. This week we right that wrong by giving Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas the full episode respect it deserves! As the festive season approaches one of the most iconic symbols of Christmas - the community Christmas tree - is going up in towns and cities around the country. Our reporters in Wellington, Auckland, Dunedin and Christchurch have been out in their local communities asking residents whether they believe it's money well spent.
Emma Summers popped into the studio today to chat with us about Operation Community Christmas Day 2025. Right at Home is a care provider here on the island and they are having their second Operation Community Christmas Day event on Christmas Day this year. Transport to and from the event is available for those living in the Bembridge area. For more details , or to offer your services as a volunteer or local business , call 01983 218318 Information is also available from their website www.rightathome.co.uk/isleofwight/ and their Facebook page too
In this episode of the "Chamber Vibes Podcast," host Foster Garrett interviews Patti Brown, president and founding member of the Bedford Community Christmas Station. Patti shares how the nonprofit supports low-income families in Bedford County with gifts, food, and clothing, especially during the holidays. She discusses their year-round thrift store, food pantry, and volunteer-driven programs. The episode highlights the organization's commitment to dignity, community connection, and local impact, while also previewing upcoming Chamber events and encouraging listeners to get involved with both the Christmas Station and the Chamber's initiatives.
This week we did a Tier List of the Community Christmas Episodes... all 4 of them. So it's not much of a Tier list, actually it's more of a ranking video, whatever enjoy!! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

5th Annual Community Christmas Tree Lighting It's time for our fifth annual Community Christmas Tree Lighting and we hope you'll enjoy the festivities. Folks brought ornaments to hang on our virtual tree and described both the ornament and it's significance. Is it handmade or a family heirloom, big or small, made of paper or tin, shiny or sparkly, and does it light up or play music? The lights and garland are already in place. We just need the ornaments and to plug the lights in. Find out more at https://acb-community.pinecast.co

To kick off the season of gratitude, I'm shining the spotlight on a wonderful local community initiative that makes Christmas truly special for its guests. The Annual Westchester Community Christmas Dinner was founded on the premise that nobody should be alone or hungry on Christmas Day. This volunteer-driven charitable event has taken place every year on Christmas day since 1994, and each guest receives a hot Christmas dinner, warm clothing, holiday gifts, and a festive welcome from caring volunteers. Head Elf and Vice-President of the board Lauren Kahn Torre joins me this week to share some behind-the-scenes insights into the initiative. Find out how you can get involved with the event and prepare to be inspired by the impact that it creates in the community.
