Episode 53 - On this week's show, Matt (@MattFFDynasty), Ali (@FFDynastyGrill) & Kev (@dynasty_goat) reflect on the NFL's Week 5 action & highlight some of the key players from a dynasty perspective: Austin Ekeler, Jalen Hurts, Michael Carter, Kyle Pitts, Kadarius Toney & Darrell Henderson… PLUS we each give you our Weekly Wildcard Waiver Picks... The FPL General is back from his international break hiatus and ready to hit the ground running in search of those precious green arrows. He's got captaincy picks, transfer advice, a watchlist update, his latest thoughts on a wildcard and answers these questions: Is Trent still worth the money or is it better to spread the extra £1.5m on a double double up of City and Chelsea defenders? Do we keep or sell Antonio? Is Alonso or Chilwell viable and worth the potential upside with strongish bench options (Livramento/White)? Is Vardy a better option than Lukaku now? With Pep roulette are Ederson & Dias a good City defence double up? Is KDB being overlooked as a viable premium asset? Foden or Grealish? Best front three on a wildcard? Now that Hwang seems to have secured a starting spot alongside Jimenez, is he a good placeholder for a couple of weeks before turning to Toney in Gameweek 10? What are the best GW8 one-week punts for those of us wildcarding in GW9? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Pat Kerrane (@PatKerrane) and John Daigle (@notJDaigle) examine players worth scooping up on the waiver wire after Week 5 of the season. The duo discuss Kedarius Toney's evolving role with the Giants, analyze the muddled backfields with the Giants, Bengals, and Patriots. Pat and John also offer up options in deeper leagues and suggest players who can be cut from rosters.
On this buckwild edition, Brad Evans and Brandon Funston unveil their top takeaways from Week 5 of the NFL season, including a notable gaming trend. From there, the guys fire off on their favorite waiver wire adds and how much FAAB cash may be needed to acquire -- Dan Arnold/Hunter Henry, Rhamondre Stevenson, Devontae Booker, Kadarius Toney and Darrel Williams. Polishing things off, they also toss a bone to the 2QB/SuperFlex crowd and state the case for Geno Smith.
Gio sure got a kick out of seeing Mike Zimmer pushing Kirk Cousins around, the development of Josh Allen and Dak Prescott, young quarterbacks putting it all on the line, Gio returned to his high school stomping grounds on Saturday, an update was then delivered by Jerry Recco, bad losses by the Jets and Giants, an eventful day around the NFL, the Red Sox catch a break, Tyson Fury knocked out Deontay Wilder and Gio is still all in on Kardius ‘Yung Joka' Toney. Positionless basketball is a buzzword in the sport today. Having guys capable of playing any position creates flexibility and matchup nightmares for the opposition. And that's what Eric Musselman is doing at Arkansas. And so Au'Diese Toney, a senior transfer from Pitt, seems like the perfect fit. Last season, he averaged career highs of 14 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in 16 games before a car crash and a concussion knocked him out for the season. After that disappointing end to his junior season, Toney entered the transfer portal, and was greeted with offers from more than 20 schools. But he chose Arkansas for two reasons: a desire to win at the highest level, and a chance to take his game to the next level with the help of Musselman. As one of the latest transfers to join the Razorback program under Musselman, Toney is ready to make his mark at Arkansas.

As Texas A&M students in the mid 2000's, Cory Cotton, Tyler Toney and their housemates spent countless hours playing hockey in the living room and attempting trick shots in the backyard. A spontaneous bet over a sandwich led the guys to make a video montage of outrageous basketball shots, which they titled Dude Perfect and posted on a new site called YouTube. After that first video wound up on Good Morning America, the five Dudes challenged themselves to even more outrageous stunts: an impossible shot from the third tier of a stadium, a here-goes-nothing lob from the door of a flying plane. But despite their growing popularity, the group spent five grueling years trying to build ad revenue and brand deals while juggling day jobs and commuting weekly across Texas. In 2014, they finally committed fulltime to building Dude Perfect into a robust entertainment platform, which today includes books, TV, live events, and a YouTube channel that has more subscribers than the NBA, NFL, and NHL combined. Take the listener survey at: http://npr.org/builtsurvey
Alex and Anthony discuss a variety of topics, including Kenny Golladay yelling at Jason Garrett, Kadarius Toney showing his frustration after the game, and Daniel Jones looking like a franchise quarterback. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The FPL General rounds up all the action from gameweek 4 and gives you his take on best captaincy picks and transfers for GW5. Plus there's his watchlist update and these questions answered: With Antonio suspended and DCL not projected to return until GW7, is it time to get either of the Wolves forwards, Bamford, or even Ings? Antonio - keep for form and future fixtures, even if we have threadbare benches and may need to play someone like Brownhill and end up with no viable subs this week, or change to Bamford? Who is the best replacement for DCL? Do you think Salah, Ronaldo and Lukaku in the team is a viable option? If wildcarding this week, would you fade, Ronaldo for Lukaku? Who is the best Wolves option in defence? Is it time to offload Benrahma, particularly for the likes of Gray? Is Conor Gallagher now a legitimate enabler or a trap? Any love for Pukki as a replacement for the underperforming Toney? Do you think Ramsdale could be worth inclusion if you're playing a wildcard? Learn more about your ad choices. My purpose on this earth is to leave a room brighter than I found it. I will inspire people to be happy and hopeful in the person they are capable of becoming. My ultimate goal in this is to not reach the world but just one person. I will show people, although we are different, greatness is within us all.”Someone most recently asked me how to live like God is with you. In order to do this, you need a why. You need a why when things get tough. Why do you press on when there is a virus and people are dying? Why are you not worried about losing your job?Why do you have hope?-There are issues of this life that bring challenges. Those challenges can knock you down. -The reason they present challenges is because of the fallen state of humanity since sin entered the world. -There is no such thing a perfect world because of sin. Sickness, violence, famine, death, disagreements, all entered the world as part of the curse for sin.-Tough times are going to come. We are in them now. -But as Christians we can have hope because of Jesus. This is the Gospel.Gospel- Good news. This is our hope. This is our why. -God had a plan to restore the world and bring hope. -That plan is Jesus. -Acts 10:34-48. 1.The gospel prevails over the issues of culture. (Acts 10:34-35) -The circumstance was that the Jews wanted to kill Paul because they thought he brought gentiles into the temple area. Gentiles were non-Jewish. (Acts 21:27-22:22) -In Acts 10 Peter is talking to the gentiles when he says acts 10:44-48 Gentiles- ANYONE not of Jewish race. There was a group of Jews that were Christians and there was a group that was not. The group that was not Christian would not except the fact that salvation was for everyone. Cultural issue. -The great commission. Jesus Last command to his disciples. Matthew 28:18-19. All nations! Cultural issue. Background for gospel. (2 Timothy 2:8-9) God's word is not chained. -The gospel always prevails The gospel prevails over the issues of government. (Acts 10:28) Felix was the governor. (Acts 24:22-24) -Agripa was the king. Acts 26:19-32 -Peter and John told to stop preaching Jesus's name but prevail (Acts 4:18-20)The gospel prevails over the issues of time. (Acts 10:42-43) -The first account of the gospel of Jesus being preached after his death is recorded in Acts 2 when Peter stands up and addresses the crowd after Jesus's death. This happened around the year 30 A.D……..its 2021 and this gospel is still being preached. Issue of time. -Isiah mentioned what Jesus would do 600 years before it happened. (Isaiah 53:12) -Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.-The gospel prevails over issues of sickness. (Acts 10:38) -Matthew 8:17, The prophet Isaiah said, he took up our infirmities and carried our diseases. -The gospel prevails over the issues of sin. (Acts 10:43) 1 Peter 2:24-Know your why is the gospel because the gospel prevails over all the issues of life.

Politician, attorney, and environmentalist Heather Toney joins us this week for a powerful conversation on clean air and community. Her lifetime of service has provided communities the chance to discuss and address environmental injustices, and she herself has accomplished a lot of firsts - one being the first African American, first female, and youngest mayor of Greenville, Mississippi! She then moved on to the EPA, where she was appointed Regional Administrator by President Obama. Since then, she has become a senior advisor at Mom's Clean Air Force and is currently serving as an environmental justice liaison for the Environmental Defense Fund. She's been awarded a number of accolades and titles, one of our favorites being Essence Magazine's “one of the most remarkable women in the world,” which is the title we would give her if we could choose! So you can imagine how beyond thrilled we were to sit down with a dedicated contributor to environmental justice and such a powerful conversationalist. McKenna, Kate and Sean contemplate what it means to get involved in their own communities.
