New breakthroughs with computers and DNA strands are occurring rapidly and raising the very nature of genetic engineering to a new level. This indicates how efficient science has become in creating synthetic biology. Colossal Biosciences is now claiming that they have cloned two Dire wolves. The dire wolf once roamed an American range that extended as far south as Venezuela and as far north as Canada, but not a single one has been seen in over 10,000 years, when the species went extinct. Could there be a relationship between Dogman and the Skinwalker? Will this be a precursor to a real Jurassic Park? Tonight on Ground Zero (7-10 pm, pacific time on groundzeroplus.com), Clyde Lewis talks with paranormal researcher, Josh Turner about THE BOY WHO CRIED DIRE WOLF. We wanna hear from you! Send us a message here :) Alex Miller, The 6' 6” singer/songwriter from rural Lancaster, Kentucky is a natural fan favorite whose career has moved at warp speed. In addition to touring heavily throughout 2021, this talented newcomer was honored as the Texas Roadhouse Artist of the Month (October) and performed a duet with Grand Ole Opry star Rhonda Vincent at the Lee Greenwood All-Star Salute concert (November). By the beginning of 2022, Alex had entertained at multiple State Fairs (Kentucky, Missouri, New York, Washington, Wisconsin), and opened for Hank, Jr, Josh Turner, Lee Brice, and Shenandoah. His star continued to rise, and even more bookings rolled in with Miller opening for Brooks & Dunn, Jamey Johnson, King Calaway, and Aaron Watson in 2022. Additionally, he shared the stage with Diamond Rio and Sawyer Brown and debuted at the popular Wild Rose Casinos in Iowa. By the end of 2023, Alex had appeared on bills with: Chris Janson, Chapel Hart, Drake Milligan, Noah Thompson, Dillon Carmichael, HunterGirl, Emily Ann Roberts and Tracy Byrd. Miller performed at State Fairs in Kentucky, Missouri, New York, Oklahoma, and West Virginia, plus County Fairs in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. Alex also partnered with CMR Nashville, Europe's #1 Country Music Radio Station, to host a curated monthly radio show called MILLER TIME - a fun, inside look at Miller's inventive mind. Closing out a spectacular year, he received the American FFA Degree for excellence, the organization's highest accolade. Timmy McKeever, growing up in Huntingon, California McKeever started his musical journey at age nine after hearing his third grade teacher play worship songs after class. That intrigued young Timmy so much that he picked up a beginner guitar they had lying around the house and started playing around. From there it blossomed into writing music and playing shows. “My whole childhood I would play 2-3 shows during the weekend and go to school during the week. Write music after class. I just fell in love with it” he shares. McKeever got offered a development deal with Jim Cantino over at Droptine Records. McKeever just released his debut album “Devils and Angels”, and it's been getting good feedback. “Devils in Angels is an album that follows all the aspects of love from the beginning to the end and the aftermath. All the highs and lows and in betweens. It's very personal to me because the title track was the first song I ever wrote where I thought this is something really special to me.” He adds that he saved the song for the past two years because he wanted it as the title track of his debut project. MUSIC Linkin Park are set to make a big announcement today in front of a live audience, but beforehand those in attendance had to sign a waiver. The waiver states that there is an agreement to be transported to and from the venue. That would suggest that the location of the event is not one that the band is anxious to divulge, even to those attending. Thus, it would be harder for people to track down exactly where it is happening and perhaps discern something in advance from the location. Green Day were pulled from the stage for security reasons two verses into their fifth song, "Longview," last night at Comerica Park in Detroit. It turns out the concerns had to do with a drone someone flew into the stadium. Detroit Police Department (DPD) issued a statement that said the band "was taken off stage and shortly...went back on stage to perform." DPD noted that they had located the drone operator outside the park and "detained him...pending further investigation." Scorpions have canceled all of their concert dates for the rest of the month with guitarist Mathias Jabs (Matt-e-us YABS) revealing the extent of injuries he suffered after a nasty fall. Queen guitarist Brian May shared he recently suffered a minor stroke. But not to fear: He's doing okay and can still play! Brian says, quote, "All of a sudden, out of the blue, I didn't have control over [my left] arm, so it's a little scary, I have to say." The first ever Giddy Up Music Festival in Vegas has been canceled. It was supposed to be a three-day event from October 18th through the 20th. The headliners were Megan Moroney, Turnpike Troubadours, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Chase Rice, Josh Turner, and Elle King were also set to perform QUICKIES: Oasis have added two more shows at London's Wembley Stadium on September 27th and 28th, 2025. The group says, "Tickets will be sold by a staggered, invitation-only ballot process. Applications to join the ballot will be opened first to the many U.K. fans who were unsuccessful in the initial on-sale with Ticketmaster." Weezer will release a 30th anniversary version of "The Blue Album" with 36 unreleased tracks. MOVING ON INTO MOVIE NEWS: It looks like Johnny Depp got his teeth fixed. Johnny Depp flashed seemingly new pearly whites after his “rotting” teeth went viral last year. Alison Brie will play the villain Evil-Lyn in the He-Man movie, "Masters of the Universe". MISC There's a strong rumor about a potential Nintendo Switch 2. Gaming industry reporter Chris Dring wrote on X about "industry whispers around ‘something' Switch 2-related happening this month." Detroit Police Department (DPD) issued a statement that said the band "was taken off stage and shortly...went back on stage to perform." DPD noted that they had located the drone operator outside the park and "detained him...pending further investigation." Speaking on stage is one of the fastest ways to grow your visibility, build brand authority, and connect with your audience. But you don't have to wait for the invitation to come to you–you can create your own stage by hosting a live or in-person event. Shay Wheat is a visionary entrepreneur and CEO of Grace and Ease Productions, supporting entrepreneurs with event-based marketing and sales strategies. She and her team of Certified Event Producers™ produce impactful events to help entrepreneurs build authority, credibility, and visibility while rapidly scaling their businesses and saving time and money. Shay has produced events from 50 to 4,000+ attendees and collaborated with well-known celebrities such as Dr. Oz, Lisa Nichols, Dr. Claire Zammit, Bill Baren, Alison J. Prince, Josh Turner, and many others. Her clients have made over $24 million in revenue, gaining over 3,500 new clients and changing the lives of over 16,000 attendees. The Event Promise A successful event isn't just about selling people into your program. You need to provide a transformative experience, whether your attendees decide to do business with you or not. Shay calls this your “event promise” – the result your event will deliver. This should be related to but separate from your program's promise. Start by reverse engineering your goals for the event. If the goal is to convert people into your high-ticket coaching program, what do they need to know about that program? What beliefs need to shift and what information do they need to make a buying decision? The idea is that your audience could take the information from your event and do it on their own, or they could choose to take the shortcut and work with you. Tips for Hosting a Profitable Event At a well-executed event, you can expect to convert between 10-30% of attendees into paying clients. Some of Shay's clients have closed up to 47% of the room. The exact number depends on the size of your event, the relationship you have with your audience, and whether your attendees are existing clients or not. In-person events are effective but notoriously expensive. One area to save money is your contract negotiation with venues and vendors. Read over your contract in detail (or have your event planner do this for you) to make sure you aren't paying for any unnecessary clauses. Lastly, consider what stage of business you're in and how your event fits into your vision. If you're just starting out, you may want to focus on growing your audience before trying to fill 500 seats at an in-person event. If you don't enjoy speaking in front of big crowds, maybe an intimate retreat is a better option. Tailor your event plan to meet your business strategy, whether you're focused on lead generation, scaling, or client retention. Enjoy this episode with CEO Shay Wheat… Quotes “Part of my superpower is helping to ground the client and to do things with as much ease and grace as possible, and that's how the name of the company came about. “That's a huge piece of it, it's not just about ‘I'm going to sell people into my program.' No, you're investing in your audience, whether or not they do business with you. That event promise is huge, that's what we're really making sure we're delivering when we host an event.” “The event promise is our north star. Whether people do business with you or not, they are going to leave with xyz because that is the promise of the event.” “We're not competing with other events. We're competing with Netflix.” “Think of your event as the appetizer and the full-course meal is your program, your high-ticket offer.” Links mentioned in this episode: Visit Shay's website: http://ShayWheat.com Grace and Ease Productions: http://GraceAndEaseProductions.com Connect with Shay on LinkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/in/shaywheat/ Certification program: https://shaywheat.com/cep/ High-Profit Events Playbook freebie: https://highprofitevents.com/
