At Redeemer, our pathway is how we seek to embody our vision and mission, or in other words, put it into practice. We desire every person to enter into intentional apprenticeship to Jesus, to be in a diverse, loving community, and to live in Wichita as witnesses. “The Church exists for nothing else but to draw men and women into Christ, to make them little Christs. If they are not doing that, all the cathedrals, clergy, missions, sermons, even the Bible itself, are simply a waste of time. God became man for no other purpose.” – CS Lewis At Redeemer, we take seriously Jesus' call to “Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Apprenticeship to Jesus is not a one time decision, but a lifelong journey of following Jesus as our master-teacher. Since the goal of the Christian life is maturity in Jesus, apprenticeship must be deep and holistic, transforming the spiritual, physical, emotional, social, and vocational parts of men and women. Apprenticeship to Jesus is learning to practice the way of Jesus in our homes, relationships, neighborhoods, and jobs. We believe Christlikeness is cultivated as we implement spiritual practices, live in community with other believers, and submit to the Word and the Spirit. We agree with Dallas Willard who said, “that the gospel is opposed to earning, not effort.” As we move towards cultivating a life of loving God and people, we trust Christ will mature us into his likeness. https://redeemerwichita.church/

This week's sermon in the Everlasting Covenant series looks at Deuteronomy 7:6–9 and Hebrews 8:6–13. Pastor Mark shows that belonging to God's covenant community isn't like keeping up with a membership—it's God's gracious claim on His people in Christ. We are redeemed, united, and called to live as His treasured possession together.

In this episode, we invite Dr. Gregory Lanier to discuss the New Perspectives on Paul (NPP)—what the view is, its historical context, and its implications for understanding the book of Galatians. What are the New Perspectives on Paul? Should Christians today be open to a fresh look at Paul's theology, specifically around "justification"? What are the dangers of this belief system? And how does all of that impact a church's study through the book of Galatians?Join us as we discuss the NPP together.TakeawaysThe New Perspective on Paul challenges traditional views on how "justification" is defined, and Galatians serves as a critical text for these debates.Key figures like N.T. Wright have significantly influenced modern scholarship of the NPP.Pastoral implications arise from how we interpret justification and community.A balanced view of the gospel includes both personal and communal aspects.Connect With Us providenceomaha.org | Instagram | Facebook Email Us formation@providenceomaha.org

A little over a month ago, Dan Horn had a debate with Pastor Rich Lusk about Paedobaptism and the place of children in the church. After the debate was posted on YouTube (see link below), there were a number of comments that seemed worth responding to. A couple of the comments are from credobaptists, but most are from paedobaptists whose viewpoints seem to diverge from orthodox Presbyterian views and lean more toward Federal Vision.Dan Horn vs. Rich Lusk on Children in the Church:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4rcocRXATE Listen to the audio version here: https://theconqueringtruth.com/2025/05/pedobaptism-debate-response-ep-218-audio/Timecodes00:00:00 The Debate00:00:45 The Position is Cold?00:11:44 Israel Drank of Christ?00:25:55 Children Praying?00:33:11 Christ's Baptism?00:40:57 Born Again?01:00:27 Baptism and Priesthood?01:16:31 Covenant Community?Production of Reformation Baptist Church of Youngsville, NCPermanent Hosts - Dan Horn, Charles Churchill and Joshua HornTechnical Director - Timothy KaiserTheme Music - Gabriel Hudelson

Women in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are also members of the Relief Society, one of the world’s largest and oldest women’s organizations, celebrating its 183rd anniversary this year. To commemorate the founding and purpose of the Relief Society, women are invited to participate in a worldwide devotional and testimony meeting on Sunday, March 16. Elder Dale G. Renlund of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will speak during the event, and the members of the Relief Society general presidency will deliver messages from the Red Brick Store in Nauvoo, Illinois, where the Relief Society was organized on March 17, 1842. On this episode of the Church News podcast, Church News reporter Mary Richards is joined by Relief Society General President Camille N. Johnson and Sister Kristin M. Yee, second counselor, to preview the event that emphasizes the importance of covenant community, serving God and others with love, and drawing spiritual power from covenants and divine authority.
