A little over a month ago, Dan Horn had a debate with Pastor Rich Lusk about Paedobaptism and the place of children in the church. After the debate was posted on YouTube (see link below), there were a number of comments that seemed worth responding to. A couple of the comments are from credobaptists, but most are from paedobaptists whose viewpoints seem to diverge from orthodox Presbyterian views and lean more toward Federal Vision.Dan Horn vs. Rich Lusk on Children in the Church:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4rcocRXATE Listen to the audio version here: https://theconqueringtruth.com/2025/05/pedobaptism-debate-response-ep-218-audio/Timecodes00:00:00 The Debate00:00:45 The Position is Cold?00:11:44 Israel Drank of Christ?00:25:55 Children Praying?00:33:11 Christ's Baptism?00:40:57 Born Again?01:00:27 Baptism and Priesthood?01:16:31 Covenant Community?Production of Reformation Baptist Church of Youngsville, NCPermanent Hosts - Dan Horn, Charles Churchill and Joshua HornTechnical Director - Timothy KaiserTheme Music - Gabriel Hudelson

Looking at the Joint Federal Vision Statement on the church and the covenant of life.
In this episode Dr Clark talks to the Rev Lane Keister, who, 13 years ago was serving a dual charge in South Dakota. Today he is pastor of Momence OPC in Momence, IL and he's currently working on a PhD. In this episode Dr Clark and Rev Keister describe the Federal Vision theology and identify some of its characteristics. The second segment is from a 2013 episode of the Heidelcast in which Dr Clark explained why we should not turn away our eyes from the Federal Vision theology. It will come back because versions of this theology always do come back in the history of the church. The opening features R. C Sproul speaking on the floor of the PCA General Assembly in 2007. For more on the federal vision theology check out the show notes for this episode. This episode of the Heidelcast is sponsored by the Heidelberg Reformation Association.

Jon and Justin are joined by Mike Abendroth, pastor of Bethlehem Bible Church and host of No Compromise Radio. The guys have a conversation about faith--and, in particular, how works are often smuggled into faith in the evangelical church. How do we appropriately define saving faith? How do we understand the relationship between faith and works? Why is it that obedience, love, and good works are regularly woven into the definition of faith? Semper Reformanda: Jon, Justin, and Mike talk more pointedly about Federal Vision, Lordship Salvation, final justification, and biblicism. What do all of these have in common? They all, in various ways, smuggle works into faith. Resources: No Compromise Radio Hosts What is the Law? ALL MY FRIENDS ARE HERETICS!!! Darren Doane launches his new podcast series with an exclusive no holds barred 3 hour interview with pastor Douglas Wilson of Christ Church. Doane pushes Wilson to defend all his major controversies. Slavery, Patriarchy, Federal Vision and more are all discussed and clarified. This is an absolute must for anyone interested in culture, theology and gospel centered trouble making.
Do John Piper and Doug Wilson Obscure Faith Alone? Here is how we approach this question in today's episode. Every generation has to come to grips with the gospel. The imputation of the righteousness of Christ to sinners--as our whole and only righteousness--has often been under assault in the history of the church. It is in our day in the form of the Federal Vision and the teaching of final justification. Jon and Justin engage with both of these errors today in an effort to clarify and defend the heart of the gospel, which is the righteousness of Christ counted to sinners. Semper Reformanda: Jon and Justin go into more depth on the Federal Vision and then contend for the importance of confessions of faith, as well as the safety provided by a sound theological framework.
