Joel and Lynn Rosenberg blend deeply personal reflections with major breaking news from the heart of the Middle East. As they honor the life and faith legacy of Joel’s mother, they also dive into the details of a historic 20-point peace plan brokered by President Trump—one that promises a potential end to the Gaza war if Hamas agrees before a looming deadline. The Rosenbergs unpack what’s in the plan, who’s on board, and what this could mean for the future of Israel, Gaza, and the broader region. Along the way, they offer a biblical perspective on peace, forgiveness, and hope in the midst of conflict, inviting listeners to pray for lasting change and to consider the impact of the gospel in times of loss and uncertainty. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, and discharge all the duties of your ministry. It's been a busy few days at Essex Cricket. On the field as the County Championship returned, the team was fighting hard to ensure its survival in the top flight and as it stands, Division One cricket looks likely to continue at Chelmsford next year.Off the field, at a Members Forum last week the club outlined its stance on proposed changes to the County Championship and has called an SGM for members to endorse the club's position. However, a shadow has been cast over the club with the forced departure of Chair Anu Mohindru after he was disbarred from his day job in the legal profession - nothing to do with cricket - but this has made his position at the club untenable. Very unfortunate, but the club has announced his successor and members should support the new-look board.Richard Clarke AKA "The Grumbler" helps me pick through the detail.Make sure you subscribe to Richard's excellent "County Cricket Newsletter" for free on Substack:https://countycricket.substack.com

Planning for the FutureIt was Charles Stewart Parnell who said: “No man has the right to say to his country. Thus far shalt thou go and no further.” This was in the 19th century. He also declared; “Let no one set a boundary to the march of a nation.”Parnell was clearly setting out the right of the people of Ireland to self-determination. Interestingly he chose Cork to make this declaration. That was the 21st January 1885. One of the current Cork TDs and the current Taoiseach Micheál Martin has a contrary view. Our right to self-determination is contained in the Good Friday Agreement so that right has been won. We now need to exercise it. There is an irony that An Taoiseach has set his face against this and that he refuses to plan for the certain day when the Good Friday Agreement referendums will be held.Planning for the FutureIt was Charles Stewart Parnell who said: “No man has the right to say to his country. Ask A Question: saythatpodcast@gmail.com Intro and a mystery sign emergency (00:00-20:11) Jesus talks about not praying in public like the hypocrites. What does that mean for praying in front of a church? Or famous people having pictures taken of them praying? Or non-famous people, like wedding pictures of people praying over the couple? Is that a sin? Just weird? (20:20-39:12) I know it is not my place to judge anyone else's salvation. But, At some point, people who believe things like God loves rich people more than poor people or God wants us to treat immigrants badly are just not Christian by any definition that I recognize. How do I acknowledge that without judging? (39:18-01:00:06) A lot of talk about being honest with God is about being angry at Him? What about being disappointed, or sad about things he has done, are those okay feelings to have? (01:00:09-01:15:12) Closing Song: Psalm 147:3 (The Poolhouse Guru)

IFPRI Policy Seminar Fertilizer, soil health, and economic shocks: Policy lessons learned from recent events Organized by IFPRI, Food Policy, and the CGIAR Science Program on Policy Innovations June 11, 2025 Join us for a discussion of key findings from a recent special issue of Food Policy exploring the complex interactions between fertilizer use, soil health management, and economic shocks in various agricultural systems. Governments around the world have long implemented policies to enhance agricultural productivity through inorganic fertilizer application and soil management, yet recent global disruptions, from the 2020–2022 food, fuel, and fertilizer price crisis to ongoing climatic uncertainties, have challenged the effectiveness of these interventions. Authors and editors of the special issue will present evidence on the medium-term effects of rising fertilizer prices and their implications for global demand, highlighting the disproportionate effects on smallholder farmers in low- and middle-income countries. The discussion will also cover issues related to the role of targeted subsidy programs, integrated soil fertility management, and site-specific nutrient approaches. A panel of fertilizer experts will discuss how these insights can support policymakers seeking to mitigate price volatility, strengthen soil health, and ensure resilience in agricultural production, particularly during adverse weather events and economic shocks. This seminar offers critical perspectives for researchers, policymakers, and agribusiness leaders working to build more sustainable and equitable food systems in an increasingly uncertain world. Introduction and Opening Remarks Ruth Hill, Director, Markets, Trade, and Institutions, IFPRI Christopher Barrett, Stephen B. and Janice G.
