KidsFest is a free family event and takes place for the third consecutive year at Stanley Park in Anfield at the end of the Summer holidays, organised by the James Bulger Memorial Trust. The free festival has become the ‘go to’ event for families in North Liverpool and beyond, with more than 15,000 visitors since it was first held two years ago. James Bulger's mum, Denise, and her partner Stuart, joined David Easson to talk about the festival and the exciting things coming up for the charity.

Paula Newman came in to talk to David Easson about her niece Lucy. Lucy is a 9 year old girl from the Wirral who was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a terminal malignant brain tumour and she's at a Grade 4, meaning Lucy is expected to have only months to live. Their family is doing everything possible to find alternative therapies and options that may work either outside or alongside the NHS and they need £300,000 worth of funding to do so. Liverpool Lib Dem leader, Richard Kemp, joined David Easson on Liverpool Live to share his concerns about Hope and Glory. He told David about the questions he wants answered from the Liverpool City Council in regards to the event and how it was allowed to take place.
