Les is joined by Rodger to discuss Everton's last-gasp winner against Crystal Palace - arguably the first big moment at Hill Dickinson Stadium. Moyes' half-time subs added the intensity that the crowd needed to see and gave the manager some selection dilemmas once the international break is over. And can we dispel any worries about a lack of atmosphere at the new ground - when it's loud, it's really loud. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Not-so-fresh from a visit to Hill Dickinson Stadium on Monday night, Matt and Paddy convene to pick through a frustrating 1-1 draw with West Ham United. We look at the big issues that emerged from the game, as the Blues became the worst version of themselves across the pitch. How big a problem are the two full-backs and the two centre-forward options? Moyes' handling of the new players is also analysed, as well as the ridiculous recent bookings for Dewsbury-Hall. Join Ian Croll, Gav Buckland and Joe Thomas for the Monday edition of the Royal Blue podcast.  Everton suffered an embarrassing 3-0 defeat at the hands of Bournemouth in their Premier League Summer series opener. Moyes' men started brightly and edged the first half despite failing to take the lead. The second half was a different story however, as Bournemouth scored three without reply, two of the goals coming from avoidable mistakes thanks to mishaps from Nathan Patterson and Jake O'Brien.  Preparation ahead of the game wasn't helped by more injury woe with Everton missing three central defenders. Moyes was forced to field a makeshift back line which held strong during the first half, but faltered in the second.  It's clear that Everton need reinforcements across the pitch and the need for players won't be helped by Moye' open and honest comments in a recent Athletic interview where he said the club were struggling to bring in the players he wants.  The lads on today's show discuss all that and more on the latest Royal Blue podcast. Everton have made a number of moves already this summer, with two key signings confirmed in Carlos Alcaraz and Thierno Barry, however, it's clear a number of essential areas still need to be filled. Blues boss David Moyes is keen on strengthening the squad with Premier League experience, which includes players who will be able to stabilise the club's position in the table as well as push on for Europe.  With numerous players from across the continent linked, Moyes has made no secret of his intent to create a robust spine, while bringing in quality players in attacking areas. Just where do those key areas lie? And what are Everton's priorities in the next phase of the window?  In today's Royal Blue podcast, Ian Croll is joined by Gav Buckland to discuss the latest transfer news as well as reports of Jarrad Branthwaite's release clause and reports that Everton are looking for minority investment in Everton's Women's Team.  Also on the agenda is John Textor, the American billionaire who had a failed takeover bid of the club and recently appeared on Talksport. Textor reportedly came close to buying the club and recently revealed why the takeover didn't happen.  All that and more on the latest Royal Blue podcast.  Chris Beesley's Book: Spirit of the Blues: https://tinyurl.com/35yrkvdb *Emotional farewell to Goodison Park | 16-page Everton souvenir picture special:*  https://shop.regionalnewspapers.co.uk/liverpool-echo-monday-19th-may-2025-4583-p.asp *Goodbye to Goodison special souvenir edition:*  https://tinyurl.com/GoodbyeGoodisonSouvenir *Gavin Buckland's Book 'The End' | Order your copy here:* https://tinyurl.com/GavinBucklandTheEnd Everton FC podcasts from the Liverpool ECHO's Royal Blue YouTube channel. Are United set for a tricky start with Arsenal, City, and Chelsea early on? What does the fixture list reveal about the season ahead under Ruben Amorim? Fixture nostalgia: Samuel recalls Moyes, Fergie, and when schedules really mattered! Transfers: Why Samuel thinks the additions of Matheus Cunha and (hopefully) Bryan Mbeumo are actually the “right” moves for once. Why signing a striker is make-or-break for United, and why it could drag out all summer. United's new focus: proven Premier League talent, disciplined fees, and no more panic buys? How missing out on Europe could become United's secret weapon this season. Samuel's brutally honest takes on past signings (and George's / Steven's grading skills!)

Fulham suffered a devastating 3-1 defeat to Moyes' Everton which proved a humbling statement that Silva's side was probably not ready for Europe. As the ringings of 'Spirit of The Blues' haunt our dreams, George, Dan, Avais and Charlie Kipp review yet another capitulation from going ahead early on. In part one, they look back at how the match unfolded from an early Jimenez header that proved futile after a deflected Alcaraz strike caught Leno wrong-footed. They vent their frustrations on Fulham's inability to hold onto their leads, especially through set pieces, discuss Leno's goalkeeping performance and reflect on a collapse in mentality and leadership. In part two, they answer some of your listener questions. Why do we, as fans, let a random group of strangers ruin our weekends? How can Fulham improve the atmosphere at the Cottage? How are we going to entertain ourselves now until the end of the season?--SHOW-LINKS:If you enjoy Fulhamish, please consider contributing a small amount monthly to help pay our costs.
