Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels. We've got everyone in the building once again, and we're chock full of gaming goodies per usual, so let's get rolling! John gets the things started off with some first impressions on the recently released ARC Raiders, which he's been playing with some of our bandmates lately — and after that, he's getting back into some Tears of the Kingdom once again. From there, Randall shares his impressions on the G'AIM'E Light Gun System, which he recently received after backing their Kickstarter over the summer (a pretty darn quick turnaround for a Kickstarter project!) Finally, Kevin wraps things up with an absolute gush fest, after getting completely sucked into Excite Truck on the Wii, after finally scooping up a physical copy all these years later. Timestamps: ARC Raiders - 00:01:42 The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - 00:10:45 G'AIM'E Light Guns - 00:17:52 Excite Truck - 00:31:32 Thanks for taking the time to listen! Community Couch Questions: InfiniteBlue — 01/01/2022 Now that the year is 2022, the Xbox 360 is three years away from being 20 years old. What's a gaming fact that makes you feel old? Flightsy — Yesterday at 10:30 AM Community Couch question to go with my Spot the Fake list: Have you ever played any fan games or ROM hacks? I have fond memories of playing Mario fan games on the computer at school, right along with Cool-Math Games. There were some super good ones, like Super Mario 63, but most were really bad. A lot of them used the Super Mario All-Star sprites (the ones used for SMB and Lost Levels), which I believe has actually ruined the art style for me! However, those were just browser games. I haven't really played many ROM Hacks, but looking at them they seem really cool. Outro Thanks for listening to the RetroLogic Podcast! We are proudly part of the Nintendo Dads family of podcasts. This week on Our Three Cents, sickness (rotten colds) abound with Minty and Jonathan delivering the episode from their respective death beds (not actually dying). Thankfully, Chris is on hand to bring the energy and enthusiasm, divulging some deeply personal pudding-related predilections, revealing some fascinatingly pedantic trivial tidbits, and mourning the untamed spirit of Kurt Cobain. All the while in their paracetamol-induced hazes, the chaps concoct the concept for a Super Crash Bros racing compilation! Bon.

Kaz struggles to get home from Christmas, Kyle gets sucked into Geometry Wars 3: Evolved, and William finally beats Xenoblade Chronicles X, though that doesn't mean he'll stop playing it. We also pretend to know what we're talking about with Switch clock speeds, and discuss the possibility of a new Excite Truck, the pitfalls of playing one game forever, and Disney's future in #esports. Then in Save Point, Kaz takes us for a nostalgia trip through the weirdness that is Pac-Man 2: The New Adventure. Come pause with us!

DiG finally talks about transitioning in public, but first gets sidetracked, along with Dante, by Nazis hawking Jell-O, playing Excite Truck on Wii for an entire freakin' weekend and the complexities of shooting a simple YouTube video about Feta Salsa. Note: When I began transitioning in 2014, I was known by my nickname DiG, which sufficed until I learned my mom had chosen Jennifer had my birth gone differently. So for historical sake, I leave the podcasts as originally conceived, but know that my name is and apparently always was Jen.

It's a crazy-stuffed episode for an insanity-filled hardware launch week. In this episode, we:- Talk about what we've been playing, mainly Gears of War and Wii since CJ got some extended playtime with Zelda and Excite Truck this weekend.- Talk about PlayStation 3 launch games being delayed/canceled in the last week and what that could mean for the system's short-term future.- After a quick musical interlude we discuss Nolan Bushnell's comments that Sony could fail with PS3. Could one of the industry's founders have something there?- SPECIAL GUEST: This week we have a special interview with John Lee, Director of Marketing for Hudson Entertainment where we talk about the company's plans on Wii's Virtual Console and even get a tidbit in there about Xbox Live Arcade support. Visit www.hudsonent.com to get a glimpse of their offerings.- Finally, we close this week's 'cast by talking about Microsoft's new initiative to sell video content (TV shows and movies) via Xbox Live Marketplace. Are any of us really gonna use this service regularly?Leave us your feedback, give us a review on iTunes, whatever you like. We may even read some of the feedback on a future show. digg_url = 'http://www.digg.com/podcasts/Player_One_Podcast'; digg_bgcolor = '#FFCC99'; digg_skin = 'compact';
