On Wednesday's episode of the Three-Inning Save podcast, Dodgers closer Tanner Scott was placed on the 15-day injured list with left elbow inflammation, the latest blow to a bullpen that has been busy all season. Also, Rich Hill is back in the majors. The 45-year-old former Dodgers pitcher was called up on Tuesday to start for the Royals, his 14th major league team to tie Edwin Jackson, also a former Dodger, for the most teams by any player in MLB history. Also, with the Phillies beating the Red Sox on walk-off catcher's interference on Monday night, it marked just the second such occurrence in MLB in the last 105 seasons. The last one was by the Dodgers, against the Reds on August 1, 1971, with Manny Mota daring to steal home and Johnny Bench behind the plate.
