The Cleveland Browns lost their best offensive player, RB Nick Chubb for the season on Monday night versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. There is uncertainty in the RB room. Can former 2022 5th-round pick Jerome Ford fill in for Chubb as the team's top back? If not, what are the other options for the Browns? Keith and DP list a few names to watch. Dame's Dudes is back and Keith puts DP on the hot seat to determine who is in and who is out. LSU WR Malik Nabers receives his stamp to enter the club. Coach K's Key Thought revolves around the offensive mess for the Chicago Bears. It is time to part ways between the organization and QB Justin Fields. DP believes this is a clear example of the coaching issues in the NFL. Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! It's a storyline that plays out each week during the football season and at every level of competition. The bully vs. the underdog, David vs. Goliath, the inner-city high school vs. the upper-crust private academy. It's the plot that played out in Boulder, Colorado, on Saturday. Colorado State vs. Colorado was a culture clash. It was elites vs. the working class. “Coach Prime's” boastful Buffaloes against Jay Norvell and his blue-collar Rams. “Deion's son, Shedeur, drives a Maybach and loves flashing his diamond-encrusted Rolex watches in front of his opponents. Like his dad, he wears a big gold chain and drips with arrogance.” Jason says you add ESPN and the media's love affair to the mix, and Deion and the Buffs become the “Black Duke” and new “Coach K.” “I always root against elites. Saturday night's game and Deion's latest '60 Minutes' interview confirmed my suspicion that Coach Prime is a fraud. His relocation to Boulder isn't about God, black empowerment, or kids not named Sanders. It's all about Deion Sanders and nothing more.” Steve Kim drops in to add his thoughts on “Prime Time," the Buffaloes' performance, and the way Deion handles his two-way star Travis Hunter, and Jason sets the odds on whether or not Sanders actually knows the name of his starting center. How often is it that we get to chat with one of the best defenders the game has seen over the last decade? Trick question... not very often! We were fortunate to chop it up with former ACC DPOY and Virginia Cavalier great, Isaiah Wilkins. We talk everything from his recruitment, to playing and coaching for Tony Bennett to UMBC to watching UVA finally slay the dragon and cut down the nets. Isaiah also gives us an all time Jayson Tatum story. You've heard about Coach K calling Tatum a soft kid from St. Louis, right? Well let's hear Isaiah's side of the story. We round it out with some college hoops documentary ideas. Netflix & HBO need to take my calls. Thanks again to Isaiah Wilkins for jumping on! Learn more about your ad choices. The Duke Basketball Roundup is back with Episode 531, with Jason and Donald getting us ready for the start of Duke Blue Devils Football. We start with some comments on the tragedy that occurred at UNC on Monday. Our hearts are with the family and friends of the faculty member who was killed. UNC may be our rivals on the court or field, but they are our neighbors, co-workers, friends and family in the game of life, and we stand with them. We also wanted to announce that we have moved the show to a new network: Fans First Sports Network! We're hoping this move will be a beneficial one as we reunite with several podcasts from the SB Nation Podcast era, and we're excited about all the possibilities! We get into Duke Football, as they host the Clemson Tigers in a huge game to open up the season on Monday night. We discuss what makes Clemson really good and why Duke has a better chance than most think of pulling off the upset and otherwise turning some heads with their play. After the break, The Brotherhood Podcast had a great episode featuring the freshman class for Duke Basketball. We marvel at how tight knit the players are and how they seem to really enjoy being around each other. It's a fun interview done by Ryan Young, so check it out! Finally, we give Johnny Dawkins and Coach K their flowers, as they are both inducted into the College Basketball Hall of Fame. We reflect on their career and how it's awesome that the two of them get to enter the Hall together. Make sure you're following us! Head to our Linktree to get all our available social media and links to follow and subscribe to the show. During The Drive with Tim Donnelly, Tim explains why believes why Jon Scheyer was hired to replace Mike Krzyzewski as Duke's men's basketball coach. He's doing things his own way by hiring former Oklahoma assistant coach Emanuel Dildy to replace Emanuel Jefferson. Tim believes this is very interesting since Coach K surrounded himself with former players who played under him. The two most storied programs in college basketball meet again in 2024, as UNC and Kansas will clash in Chapel Hill and Lawerence, Kansas. It will mark just the second time these two teams have played at Allen Fieldhouse and the first meeting ever between the two in the Dean Smith Center. Tim and producer Graham Hill want to know why these two teams don't play eaach more during the regular season. Also, Aaron Rodgers is one of the most successful quarterbacks in NFL history, but he's also loyal to former coaches. When Sean Payton criticized Rodgers' former offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, Rodgers didn't take it lying down. He called out Payton, accusing him of being insecure and setting himself up for failure.
