Do you believe the Lord brought them to us so they can hear the gospel?” The question was asked by a pastor in Aleppo, the war-torn city in Syria. Members of the Islamist group that would soon control the country were standing in front of his home, machine guns in hand. “That's a Kingdom-minded church!” says John Samara, a Christian from Syria and the founder and leader of Ananias House, a ministry reaching people with the love of Christ in Syria, the Middle East and North Africa. Samara has seen God answer prayers for revival during the last 12 years of civil war in Syria. Yet he also sees more Christian persecution coming as more Muslims come to know Jesus—and as the new regime in Syria tightens it's control over the country. While the new government—which overthrew the longstanding Assad regime late last year—publicly says they want more religious freedom and will make a place for religious minority groups, what's happening on the ground isn't matching their lofty words. “We're looking at potential genocide against Christians in Syria,” says John. The new government grew out of a group that formerly claimed allegiance to Al Qaeda and ISIS. John will also discuss his new book, The Victor's Crown of Glory, living as a persecuted Christian in the Middle East, and seeing his father deal courageously with constant interrogation and interference from the secret police. Order a copy of John's book today to read amazing stories of God at work and learn how the Spirit of God speaks through us, even in times of great fear! John spoke during The Voice of the Martyrs' I AM N Virtual Event. You can still access this powerful event online to hear stories of faith and courage in the shadow of radical Islam. Pray for our Christian brothers and sisters in Syria to stand firm in their faith amidst rising Christian persecution. The VOM App for your smartphone or tablet will help you pray daily for persecuted Christians in Syria, North Korea, Iran, China and other nations throughout the year, as well as giving free access to e-books, audio books, video content and feature films. AP correspondent Naeun Kim reports on women in Syria rallying for better rights as the country's new government grapples with rising tensions.
Christians in Syria are facing a dangerous unknown. Will the de facto leadership grant them religious liberty? Or will they become the latest target of Islamic leaders who abuse their positions to persecute Christians? Remember how the Taliban in Afghanistan promised to respect the individual rights after America withdrew forces -- and then practically overnight broke those promises. The same could happen in Syria. As Rusty Reno warns, Christians in Syria are a bit on edge right now, and justifiably so.
This week the long rule of the Assad regime fell after insurgents entered the capital of Damascus and Syria's President Bashar al-Assad fled to Russia. To help us understand the gravity of this historic event, EWTN News' Alberto Fernandez gives us insights particularly into what this moment means for Syrian Christians. Then, tis the season for holiday movies and music. We get a preview of some new faith-based flicks as well as some classic ones grounded in the true meaning of Christmas from Register staff writer Joseph Pronechen.

The Assad family ruled Syria for more than half a century, and that dynasty has come to an end. The rebel group Hayat Tahrir al Sham, or HTS, is consolidating control and will inherit an economy devastated by a decade of brutal civil war that cost 500,000 lives. What could economic recovery look like? Then, China preps for a U.S. trade war under Trump, and global criminals utilize cryptocurrency to launder money.

[00:30] The Beatification of Kamala (51 minutes)Barack Obama waited for five days before endorsing Kamala Harris as the Democratic presidential candidate in a staged phone call released today. The propaganda media is now fawning over Kamala for being so real and organic, applauding her “self-help speaking style” and declaring that her public support could be bigger than Obama's in 2008. The left has succumbed to Kamala Derangement Syndrome, and Joe Biden is already old news. The fakery in our political system has never been more obvious. Fake phone calls, fake presidents, fake narratives and fake accomplishments dominate the radical left's political strategies—but ordinary Americans are looking for something real.[51:20] WorldWatch (4 minutes)

Somehow, the weeks around here keep getting crazier. Bayern Munich is a whirlwind of activity and the German national team is ready to kick off one of its most important tournaments in years, Clearly, we have a lot to talk about, so let's get to it on this edition of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show: I've got a bad feeling about this...new regime. The current roster? The transfer plans? Something just does not feel right and the New World Order in Bavaria could be guiding Bayern Munich into an iceberg of failure. Is the front office purposely creating a leadership void to reboot the team's mentality? Hiroki Ito is a good player, but does he make Bayern Munich better? What about Jonathan Tah? Will they be better than Matthijs de Ligt and Dayot Upamecano? If Bayern Munich sells off De Ligt, it is incredibly dumb — especially if it is over money. Alphonso Davies looks like he could stay, while Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, and Serge Gnabry do not want to leave Bavaria...now what? Money could be an issue for all of these players as well.
